With the Euros now over, our attention will soon turn to the start of the new domestic season. With the season less than a month away from the kick off and clubs already getting deals done in the transfer market; What does each Premier League club need ahead of the new season?
ARSENAL - Striker
Arsenal narrowly lost out on the title to City last season and one reason why was because they lacked a 20+ goal a season striker. Kai Havertz did step up in a false nine position towards the end of last season but if the Gunners are to go one better this season, they'll need a more proven goal scorer up top.
ASTON VILLA - Winger
Moussa Diaby is close to leaving the club and his departure will leave Leon Bailey as their only recognised wide player. With Villa in the Champions League this season, they should be looking for players who are of a higher calibre and can provide cover. Especially as you need enough options in all areas to compete on both fronts.
BOURNEMOUTH - Centre Back
The defence has always been an Achilles heal for Bournemouth whenever they've been in the Premier League as they've let in over 60 goals in every season they've competed in the top flight. If the Cherries are to be an established top 10 side, they'll need to be better defensively and having a strong centre back partnership is key to that.
BRENTFORD - Left Back
The Bees missed Rico Henry a lot last season whilst he was out with his ACL injury as they were sucked into a relegation battle. With Henry likely to take time to get himself up to full match sharpness, Thomas Frank's side will need someone to cover for him whilst he's getting himself match fit.
BRIGHTON - Striker
The Seagulls lacked a clinical no.9 up top last season and especially towards the end as they ended up missing out on a top 10 finish. If the Seagulls are to finish in the top 10 this season, new boss Fabian Hurzeler will need to buy a clinical no.9.
CHELSEA - Centre Back
The defence is one of Chelsea's Achilles heals and it certainly was last season as they conceded a walloping 63 goals. They have signed Tosin Adarabioyo who will add height to their defence, but if the blues are to progress as a club, they'll need to sign more proven and of a higher calibre.
CRYSTAL PALACE - Attacking Midfielder
Palace have already lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich this month and will need to find a replacement for him. With Eberechi Eze's future also uncertain, Oliver Glasner may need to look for another one if his side are to finish in the top 10 again.
EVERTON - Striker
Goals have been Everton's Achilles heal for the last couples of seasons and it's been the main reason why they've been battling relegation. They have signed Iliman Ndiaye who can play as a central striker, but he's unproven at the top level and if the Toffees are to stay out of another relegation scrap, Sean Dyche should look to bring in someone more proven at this level.
FULHAM - Defensive Midfielder
The departure of Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich has left a big hole in the Cottagers midfield which will need to be filled as soon as possible. Palhinha was arguably the Cottagers' best player in each of the last two seasons and they could be in for a long season if they don't replace him.
IPSWICH - Striker
If there is one thing that every newly-promoted club needs when they come up to the Premier League, it's a no.9 who can consistently score goals. The Tractor Boys' top scorers from last season in Conor Chaplin and Nathan Broadhead scored 13 goals each in the Championship, and with both of them being unproven at the top level, Kieran McKenna will need to sign someone of a higher calibre if his side are to stay up.
LEICESTER - Striker
Jamie Vardy might still be continuing to defy the odds at the age of 37, but the Premier League is one big step up in quality and he won't get the time and space he had in the Championship last season. Because of his age and the Foxes lacking another finisher in front of goal, new boss Steve Cooper should look to bring in another striker if they're to have any chance of staying up.
LIVERPOOL - Striker
One reason why the reds fell out of title contention last season was because they weren't clinical enough during the latter stages of the season. If they're to challenge for the title again this season, they'll need to bring in a 20+ goal a season striker. Especially as Darwin Nunez isn't clinical enough.
MAN CITY - Full Back
Man City do have a strong squad, but if there is one area where they look light it is in the full back department. Kyle Walker and Josko Gvardiol are the only recognised full backs in their squad along with young Rico Lewis, who can deputise on either flank. With Walker getting on a bit at the age of 34 and likely to become prone to injuries due to his pace, City should look to get in a long term replacement for him.
MAN UNITED - Defensive Midfielder
United conceded a lot of shots last season and one reason why was because their defence didn't have enough protection. With Casemiro no longer the player he used to be and someone who United are looking to offload this summer, buying a defensive midfielder should be near the top of their shopping list.
NEWCASTLE - Centre Back
The Magpies struggled defensively for the majority of last season after looking very solid the season before. Eddie Howe will be determined to shore up his defence this summer as his side look to secure a return to Europe this season. He'll also want to bring in a defender for cover with captain Jamaal Lascelles out with an ACL injury.
NOTTINGHAM FOREST - Centre Back
The defence has been Forest's Achilles ever since they've been in the Premier League and it certainly was last season. They have enough firepower in attack but if Forest want to become an established Premier League side, they need to shore up defensively.
SOUTHAMPTON - Centre Back
Despite winning promotion last season, Southampton did concede 63 goals with only Norwich conceding the most out of all the clubs in the top six. The Saints conceded a lot of goals during their last season in the top flight and if they're to stay up this season, they'll need to be more solid defensively and buying a Premier League proven centre back can help with that.
TOTTENHAM - Striker
Spurs did okay without Harry Kane last season, but they still lacked a clinical goal scorer at the top end of the pitch. Heung Min Son can play up there, but he's better off on the left hand side whilst Richarlison hasn't delivered ever since he joined the club two summers ago.
WEST HAM - Striker
The Hammers have lacked a clinical no.9 for the last couple of seasons and their lack of one cost them at times last season. With Michail Antonio getting on a bit and Danny Ings being out of favour, this should be a position that new boss Julen Lopetegui should look to address during this window.
WOLVES - Centre Back
Wolves need to replace captain Max Kilman who left for West Ham earlier this month. The defence was an area of weakness for Wolves last season as they conceded 65 goals and Gary O'Neil will be looking to use the money they got for Kilman to buy a replacement for him, as long as they stay within PSR spending rules.
