Key Points of the Weekend

Brentford are the most entertaining team to watch in the Premier League

Brentford's last three home games: a 5-3 win against Wolves, a 4-3 win against Ipswich and most recently a 3-2 win against Bournemouth. This for me makes them the most entertaining team to watch in the Premier League.

Thomas Frank said before the season started that his team were going to play attacking football and he's been true to his word. Their games have seen a lot of goals and they're playing more on the front foot.

They've been good to watch since they've been in the Premier League, but this season they've been more open as their recent results show.

They have conceded a lot of goals which will be a concern, but their fans have enjoyed the games they've watched and they'll want it to continue.

Are Fulham European contenders?

I thought Fulham were going to struggle a bit this season after losing their best player from last season in Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich in the summer. But that appears not to be the case as they've been reasonably strong defensively and are 7th in the league after 11 games.

Are they European contenders?

Their strong start to the season will definitely give them confidence and the belief that they can be as they'll want to build on it. But how long will they be able to keep it up as there is still a long way to go and they're not used to being in this position.

One thing that is likely to hold them back is their form away from home because it's not as good as their form at home is. It was the case for them last season and is proving it to be the case this season, despite winning away from at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Their home form will be a massive bonus as it's one of the best in the league. If they can keep that up and stay within touching distance of the European places, they might have a chance of being European contenders.

Is Baleba Brighton's new Caicedo?

Brighton's recruitment has been one of the best in the country over last few years as they've been able to move players on and find very good replacements from almost anywhere on the globe. MOst of them being young unheard talents.

They've had many of those players in recent years and they might've found another one in Carlos Baleba whose impact off the bench against Man City at the weekend changed the game. He plays in the same position as Moises Caicedo and was brought in around the time Caicedo left.

Is he Brighton's new Caicedo?

Brighton sat off City a lot in the first half as City were able to break through their midfield with ease. But that all changed when Baleba came on as he brought some extra energy to the midfield and was willing to make tackles and get on the ball.

He was excellent both in and out of possession and Brighton were a much improved side in the second half because of the impact he made.

He is similar to Caicedo in that he's good at winning the ball back and has a lot of energy. If he continues to impress for the rest of the season, he could well be Brighton's new Caicedo.

Arsenal need a striker

Arsenal are in a rut of form at the moment after failing to win none of their last four games, which have seen their title challenge take a hit. They have had key players unavailable to injuries and suspensions, but one of their main problems during that time has been down to them not having a clinical no.9 up top.

I watched their game against Chelsea yester day and saw then get crosses into the box, but there wasn't anyone on the end of them to poke the ball home. This tells me that they still need that 15-20 goal a season striker.

Kai Havertz did do well towards the end of last season as he ended the season strongly and ended the season with a good amount of goals. But he's not an out and out goal scorer and the same can be said about fellow striker Gabriel Jesus, who works very hard out of possession but doesn't score enough goals.

If Arsenal are to go that extra step and a win a title, they need that central striker who will scored 20+ goals a season.

Former forward Theo Walcott compared Newcastle striker Alexander Isak Thierry Henry when speaking to BBC Sport recently, during which he said that Isak has a good all-round game and can play both as a 9 and as a 10. He's the kind of striker that Arsenal should be looking at if they're to go onto the next level.
