September Team of the Month

GK: EMILIANO MARTINEZ (ASTON VILLA) - Villa's new keeper has had a solid start to life at Villa Park. He kept 2 clean sheets which was more than any other keeper and he even saved a penalty on his debut against Sheffield United.

RB: TIMOTHY CASTAGNE (LEICESTER) - Castagne has been excellent since his arrival from Atalanta in the summer. He impressed on his debut against West Brom in which he scored and got an assist in his next two games against Burnley and Man City. He's been impressive at both ends of the pitch.

CB: TYRONE MINGS (ASTON VILLA) - Mings was solid throughout the whole of September as Villa kept clean sheets in both of their games against Sheffield United and Fulham. His strong start has kept him in the England squad.

CB: GABRIEL (ARSENAL) - Arsenal's new centre back has made a solid start to life in the Premier League by being solid at the back whenever he has played. He's starting to give Arsenal the defensive solidity they have lacked for several years.

LB: TYRICK MITCHELL (CRYSTAL PALACE) - The 21 year old left back made more tackles than any other player during September which is why I have put him in. He's really stepped up whilst Patrick Van Aanholt has been injured and he could be a key player for Palace in the future.

RM: WILFRIED ZAHA (CRYSTAL PALACE) - Zaha has started the season on fire with 3 goals in September. He's shown why some of the top clubs around Europe want him and has been vital to the way Palace started the season.

CM: KALVIN PHILLIPS (LEEDS) - Phillips has settled into Premier League life fairly quickly in Leeds' first season back in the top flight. He's shown why he got his England call up before the season started by dictating play from midfield by playing long passes to the forward players and by being solid in midfield.

CM: JAMES RODRIGUEZ (EVERTON) - The Colombian has settled into the Premier League very quickly. His presence in the team made other players in the team better and has been key to way Everton have started the season.

LM: SADIO MANE (LIVERPOOL) - Mane scored 3 goals in September and is arguably Liverpool's best attacker. His pace, energy and clinical finishing are vital to the way Liverpool play and is set to have another big season for the reds.

ST: DOMINIC CALVERT LEWIN (EVERTON) - Calvert Lewin has started the season on fire with 5 goals in three games during September. He ended the month as the league's top goal scorer and deservedly earned himself a call up to the England senior squad.

ST: JAMIE VARDY (LEICESTER) - Last seasons Golden Boot winner has started the season in good form with 5 goals during September including a hat trick at Man City. He's still showing no signs of slowing down at 33 years years and is set to have another top season if he can keep up his good start.
