SATURDAY:
LUTON V TOTTENHAM
Luton got off the mark last week with their win at Everton but weren't able to build on it against Burnley in midweek. A game I predicted them to win.
Their performances have been decent in recent weeks and they're going to have to be at their very best if they're to get something here.
Spurs were lucky against Liverpool last week mainly because of the shocking refereeing decisions that took place. Both by VAR and the on field officials.
They've played some brilliant football under Ange Postecoglou this season and they very much look like a side who have their identity back.
With the forward players they have and the way they play, I can see them win this one rather comfortably. I think they'll teach Luton a lesson here.
PREDICTION: 0-4
BURNLEY V CHELSEA
Burnley finally got off the mark against Luton in midweek which was a game they simply had to win following the tough start they had.
They'll have some much needed confidence on board as a result of that win and with some winnable games coming up, they should get their season properly up and running.
But I think they're going to suffer another set back here as I think Chelsea will have enough here.
The Blues have like Burnley had a tough start to the campaign. But they too got a much needed win in their last game against Fulham on Monday where they finally ended their goal drought.
They will have gained a lot of confidence from both the result and the performance on Monday and I think they'll carry it into this one.
PREDICTION: 0-2
EVERTON V BOURNEMOUTH
Everton's home form for the last couple of seasons has been crucial in them staying up and this fixture last season was the one that kept them up.
But their home form so far this season has been awful. They've lost all three games at Goodison Park which at the moment appears to no longer be a fortress for them.
Bournemouth are still waiting for their first win under Andoni Iraola and it's not going to get any easier for them with the tough fixtures they have coming up. Wolves and Burnley are next for them after this tricky clash followed by Man City and Newcastle.
I do think they'll get off the mark here though because of Everton being so poor at home at the moment.
PREDICTION: 0-2
FULHAM V SHEFFIELD UNITED
It's been an unspectacular start to the season from Fulham who along with their opponents are the lowest scorers in the league with 5 goals.
They hardly offered anything against Chelsea on Monday and Marco Silva will definitely want his side to show more here.
Sheffield United were better against West Ham in that they weren't as easy to play against as they were against Newcastle. But they still lost the game and made mistakes which they need to get rid of.
The Blades are currently without a win and bottom of the league and with some tough games coming up, it's hard to see where they're going to get their points from.
I don't see them getting anything here because I think Fulham will have just enough to claim the points.
PREDICTION: 2-0
MAN UNITED V BRENTFORD
Man United head into this game having lost back to back home games after having such a strong record at home last season.
They lost at home again during the week against Galatasaray where defensively they were shocking. Rasmus Hojlund played well and was arguably their only positive. But the goals they conceded were poor.
Brentford haven't really got going this season with their only win coming against Fulham back in August. But they were a much improved side against Nottingham Forest last weekend.
With United having lost their last two home games and their defence being in such a state, I fancy Brentford to come out on top here.
They haven't been at their best of late but they do have players who can really hurt United. Especially in Mbeumo and Wissa, both of whom I think will get on the score sheet here.
PREDICTION: 1-2
CRYSTAL PALACE V NOTTINGHAM FOREST
Crystal Palace are without two of their best attacking players in Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze who is set for a six week spell on the side-lines. This is a massive blow for Roy Hodgson's side who after this one have tough tests against Newcastle and Spurs.
Nottingham Forest were at or near the foot of the table this time last season and this season find themselves in 12th. It's been a decent start to the season for them.
These two played out a 1-1 draw on the final day last season and I think it'll be the same here. Mainly because Palace are without Eze and Forest being away from home where they do struggle.
PREDICTION: 1-1
SUNDAY:
BRIGHTON V LIVERPOOL
Brighton got the better of Liverpool both in the Premier League and the FA Cup. But doing so again this time will be tough as they head into this one off the back of playing in Europe and getting beat 6-1 by Aston Villa.
I didn't see their performance against Villa coming at all as I was expecting a much closer game. They usually go toe to toe with teams but against Villa they were unable to do that because of how well Villa set themselves up.
Liverpool were let down massively by the officials against Spurs last week and they'll be happy to hear that they'll have different people in charge of this game.
I was tearing my hair out when I saw Luis Diaz's goal disallowed for offside when he was clearly in an onside position. How the linesman didn't spot that and how VAR didn't overturn it is beyond me.
The reds will be short on attacking options for this one with Cody Gakpo injured and Diogo Jota suspended. But I think the attacking players starting the game cause Brighton enough damage to win the game here.
With the reds being more used to the European schedule, I think they'll come out on top here.
PREDICTION: 1-3
WEST HAM V NEWCASTLE
West Ham like Newcastle go into this one off the back of being in Europe but won't have as much time to prepare for this game because of them playing on a Thursday.
Newcastle had a night to remember against PSG in midweek and it will be interesting to see if they'll be up for this one in the same way.
They might feel a bit tired here because of them being in Europe and especially after putting in so much to get the result they did.
West Ham will definitely cause them problems on the counter and will also make it difficult for them defensively. Because of this and the Magpies possibly not at their best after their midweek exertions, I think the points will be shared here.
PREDICTION: 1-1
WOLVES V ASTON VILLA
Wolves were outstanding in every department against Man City last weekend and they will have gained a lot of confidence from both the result and the performance.
Aston Villa go into this one off the back of playing in Europe and Wolves might use this to their advantage as Villa may feel a bit tired as a result of them being in Europe.
Gary O'Neil's side will definitely make it difficult for Villa and they'll also offer a threat on the counter with the pace of Pedro Neto and Hwang Hee Chan. I can see them, nick a draw here.
PREDICTION: 1-1
ARSENAL V MAN CITY
Arsenal are waiting for news on Bukayo Saka's fitness after he went off within half an hour of their defeat to Lens in midweek. There might be a small chance that he does play having been included in the latest England squad.
The Gunners could also be without Gabriel Martinelli who has missed the last few games with a thigh injury and if the Gunners are without both him and Saka for this one, it could be a tough one for them.
Man City are also without two influential players in Kevin De Bruyne through injury and Rodri through suspension. Rodri was big miss for City against Wolves last weekend where they got overrun in midfield and lacked someone to take control of the game.
Arsenal might be without Saka and Martinelli for this one, but I do think they have other players who can step up and hurt City on the break.
With City not having Rodri to control the game in midfield and protect the defence, I think the Gunners might edge this one. Even without Saka and Martinelli.
PREDICTION: 2-1
