SATURDAY:
ASTON VILLA V BRIGHTON
Both sides had brilliant seasons last year and have both made promising starts to this one.
Aston Villa had a good home record last season and have kept it up this season having won both of their home games this season.
Brighton currently sit inside the top four and some people are already putting them down as Champions League contenders. I wouldn't call them that just yet as there is still a long way to go and they have the Thursday-Sunday schedule to deal with as a result of them being in Europe.
Villa won this fixture on the final day of last season to secure their place in the Europa Conference League and I think they'll win here again because of their strong record at home.
PREDICTION: 2-1
BOURNEMOUTH V ARSENAL
Bournemouth are still waiting for their first win under Andoni Iraola and they may have to wait a bit longer for it. He's more likely to get it in any of their next three games which are all against sides who are in and around them capable of beating.
Arsenal could be without a few key players this one including Bukayo Saka who is a doubt with a calf injury he picked up against Spurs. If he misses this one, it would put an end to his record breaking run of consecutive appearances for the club.
The Gunners had to come from 2-0 down to beat Bournemouth the last time they met with Reiss Nelson coming off the bench to score the winner.
Nelson netted the only goal of the game in the Gunners' Carabao Cup win at Brentford in midweek and he might be needed again here with both Saka and Martinelli unlikely to feature.
Strength in depth was what let Arsenal down this season and this game could tell us if it's any better with the injuries they have.
Bournemouth will definitely have a go, but I think Arsenal will have enough quality to win the game. Even without Saka and Martinelli.
PREDICTION: 1-2
EVERTON V LUTON
Everton head into this game off the back of two straights wins against Brentford in the league and Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup. Dominic Calvert-Lewin netted in both games and having him back in the team and among the goals is a massive boost for Sean Dyche's side.
The Toffees have lost all three of their home games this season which has surprised me a bit as their home form was what kept them up last season.
Luton have steadily improved over the last few weeks and got their first point on the board last week against Wolves which is something they must build on if they're to start winning games.
This game and the one against Burnley on Tuesday are games that they need to win if they're to get their season up and running. If they don't, they could be in for a long season.
With Everton finally getting some confidence on board as a result of their recent two results, I think they'll take the points here. Especially as they're home.
PREDICTION: 2-0
MAN UNITED V CRYSTAL PALACE
These two met in the Carabao Cup during the week with both sides making wholesale changes.
Man United's win in midweek was probably their best performance this season and it will surely give them a lot of confidence.
Crystal Palace will definitely give it more of a go here as they'll field their strongest 11 after making a lot of changes in midweek.
They'll make it difficult for United and they'll also try and hit them on the counter. But I think Erik Ten Hag's side will come out on top here because of the quality they have.
PREDICTION: 2-1
NEWCASTLE V BURNLEY
What a week it's been for Newcastle. A record equalling 8-0 win at Sheffield United followed by beating Man City in the Carabao Cup in midweek. It's been a stuttering start to the season for Eddie Howe's side and these results will surely kick their season into life.
It's been a tough start for Burnley who remain winless with just a single point to their name. They have played some good stuff at times, but have left themselves exposed defensively on a number of occasions.
They'll definitely have a good go here but I think Newcastle will exploit the spaces they leave in behind. With the forward players that Newcastle have, I think they'll win this one rather comfortably.
PREDICTION: 3-0
WEST HAM V SHEFFIELD UNITED
West Ham head into this one off the back of two straight defeats to Man City and Liverpool but they'll feel no shame in that as they've started the season pretty well and those games were free hits.
They'll definitely bounce back here against Sheffield United side who need to show some sort of reaction after being hammered by Newcastle last week.
The pressure will be on Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom who needs to get his players back up on their feet after a horror show of a performance last week against Newcastle.
But I don't see that being the case here as I'm going for a comfortable win for West Ham.
PREDICTION: 4-0
WOLVES V MAN CITY
Wolves boss Gary O'Neil wasn't happy with the penalty decision that went against his side against Luton last weekend and especially as it cost his side the win. I too didn't think it was a penalty as it came off Joao Gomes' foot before striking his hand.
Man City will be without Rodri for this one following his red card against Nottingham Forest and they really missed him in midweek against Newcastle. They're set to be without him for the next few games including the big one against Arsenal next week.
City should be fine without him here though as they'll have fit big hitters back including Erling Haaland who was rested in midweek. City are still missing players through injury but but with the likes of Haaland and Foden back in the starting line up, they'll win this one comfortably.
PREDICTION: 0-3
TOTTENHAM V LIVERPOOL
Both sides have started the season strongly and are playing some good football which should make this one a good game.
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou has a good record when playing at home and it's for that reason I can't see Spurs losing here. He didn't lose once at home during his two seasons at Celtic and is so far unbeaten at home as Spurs boss.
Not playing in midweek might give Spurs an advantage here as they will have had more time to prepare for this game. Their players will be fully refreshed and prepared heading into this game.
Liverpool have been touted as City's closest challengers this season and this game could tells us if they are. They'll definitely be tested defensively because of the attacking players that Spurs have and defensively is where I and most people question them.
But with the attacking players they have both on the pitch and on the bench, I think they'll have enough to earn at least a point.
PREDICTION: 2-2
SUNDAY:
NOTTINGHAM FOREST V BRENTFORD
Nottingham Forest are still unbeaten at home this season and it was at home where they collected the majority of their points last season.
Brentford were a shadow of themselves against Everton last weekend and it was unlike them to be easy to play against and to get done from set pieces.
They need to show a reaction here and I think they will as they need to get back to winning ways after going four games without a win.
This fixture ended in a draw last season and I can see it ending the same way.
PREDICTION: 1-1
MONDAY:
FULHAM V CHELSEA
Fulham got the better of their South London rivals in this fixture last season and without former talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic. This will certainly give them confidence heading into this game as they'll believe that they can beat Chelsea again without Mitrovic who has since left for Saudi Arabia.
Chelsea will be without a recognised striker for this one with Nicolas Jackson suspended having already picked up 5 yellow cards. They do have Armando Broja still at the club, but I can't see them using him as he's just come back form a long injury lay off.
The blues might've scored in the Carabao Cup against Brighton in midweek, but I still don't see their problems in front of goal disappearing. I can't see them scoring here or Fulham for that matter as they too haven't scored many this season.
PREDICTION: 0-0
