SATURDAY:
CRYSTAL PALACE V FULHAM
Crystal Palace will have Roy Hodgson back in the dugout for this one after missing their defeat at Aston Villa last weekend through illness. Having him back on the touchline will be a big boost for Palace heading into this one.
Being at home will also give them a boost as they've had a strong record at Selhurst Park over the last couple of seasons. I can see the home crowd help them get over the line here.
Fulham did win this fixture 3-0 last season and have made a fairly solid start to the season. But I think Palace will keep them at bay here.
PREDICTION: 2-0
LUTON V WOLVES
Luton's next three games including this one are games they need to get points from. Everton away and Burnley at home are their games after this one all three sides are in and around them in the table.
They have improved in recent games but haven't been able to get the results their efforts have deserved. They did everything but score against Fulham and showed some spirit against West Ham. Both performances will give them something to build on, but they need to start getting points on the board.
Wolves might have had a nightmare pre-season with the problems they had, but their performances haven't been that bad. They've had their moments in certain games but haven't quite had the results they've deserved.
I don't see there being many goals here, but I think Wolves will get off the mark here as I think they'll have enough quality to do so.
PREDICTION: 0-2
MAN CITY V NOTTINGHAM FOREST
Man City have a number of key players out injured and Pep Guardiola said during the week that his side are in trouble as a result of it. It's certainly not an ideal situation to be in as it's leaving their squad looking thin and short of options from the bench.
I don't think it will affect them here though as I think they'll have more than enough quality to win the game.
Nottingham Forest have been in games this season and are looking a more resolute team than they were for the majority of last season.
They'll go into this one looking to frustrate City and they'll need to be on top pf their game if they are to do that. But I just don't see it happening because of the quality that City possess.
They lost this fixture 6-0 last season and I think they'll get another beating in this one. But not as heavy as the one they got last season.
PREDICTION: 4-1
BRENTFORD V EVERTON
Brentford are without Rico Henry for the rest of the season after picking up an ACL injury in their defeat at Newcastle. This is undoubtedly a massive blow for the Bees and for the player himself who some people have tipped to get an England call-up.
Everton hardly showed anything against Arsenal and especially going forward where they rarely threatened the Arsenal goal. Their performance will have been a worrying sign for Sean Dyche's team who will need to offer more if they're to win games.
I can't see a reaction from them here as Brentford are strong at home and are a side who show more attacking intent. Because of this I think the Bees will claim the points here.
PREDICTION: 2-0
BURNLEY V MAN UNITED
Burnley have had a tricky start to life back in the Premier League and the fixtures certainly haven't been kind to them. But they did get their first point on the board on Monday against Nottingham Forest which should give them something to build on.
Man United have lost every away game this season including in their loss to Bayern Munich in midweek where they made a decent start and showed more fight than I thought they would.
Their poor away form last season was mainly directed towards their results against teams in the top half and Burnley are obviously not one of those teams.
The Clarets will definitely get some chances here, but I think United will edge it as they have more in quality.
PREDICTION: 1-2
SUNDAY:
ARSENAL V TOTTENHAM
Arsenal put in a ruthless display against PSV in midweek where they were excellent right throughout. Some people have already suggested that they could be contenders to win the Champions League. But I think it's toi early for that.
It will be interesting to see who starts in goal for the Gunners with David Raya having been chosen over Aaron Ramsdale for the last two games. Raya starting in midweek could be seen in two ways: 1. He's now Arsenal's first choice keeper or 2. Arteta was resting Ramsdale ahead of this game.
Spurs might have an advantage over Arsenal in this one in that they didn't have any European commitments during the week. That will give them some sort of edge here as they've had an entire week to prepare for this game due to not being in Europe.
But because of them having a poor record at the Emirates and Arsenal having a strong record there, I think the Gunners will end their unbeaten start under Ange Postecoglou and claim the win.
PREDICTION: 4-2
BRIGHTON V BOURNEMOUTH
Brighton head into this game off the back of playing in Europe and their season is now about to be tested. They have started brilliantly with the results they've had but the Thursday-Sunday schedule will test them and the depth of their squad.
Bournemouth are still without a win under Andoni Iraola and I'm not really surprised as I didn't predict them to win any of their first five games. I had them down as one of my relegation favourites at the start of the season and I'm still sticking by that.
It will take time for them to get used to the way that Iraola wants them to play and they have had their moments under him. But they need to start scoring goals if they're to get that first win.
That first win will have to wait though as I think Brighton will have too much for them here.
PREDICTION: 3-0
CHELSEA V ASTON VILLA
Chelsea have the same problem they had last season. They just can't score.
They had a number of good chances against Bournemouth, but they weren't able to take them. They are getting into good positions but they just don't have that no.9 to put them away.
Aston Villa might feel a but leggy in this one as they head into it off the back of playing in Europe which will test their squad depth. But I probably trust them in front of goal more than I trust Chelsea.
Ollie Watkins maybe yet to score in the league for Villa this season, but I'm backing him to get off the mark here.
PREDICTION: 0-2
LIVERPOOL V WEST HAM
Liverpool will have Virgil Van Dijk back for this one after completing his two match suspension and his welcome is a major boost for them. Especially going into a game like this because West Ham are dangerous from set plays and Van Dijk is someone who is effective in both boxes when it comes to set plays.
The reds were below par in the first half against Wolves but were much improved in the second mainly thanks to their subs.
Their squad may not be massive but they still have players who can come off the bench and make a difference. Especially in attack.
David Moyes has never won at Anfield and I think his wait for a win here will go on.
His West Ham side will look to cause problems but I think Liverpool will have enough quality to see this one through.
PREDICTION: 2-1
SHEFFIELD UNITED V NEWCASTLE
Sheffield United have some spirit about them as seen against Man City and Spurs where they gave it a good go in both games. Their performances from both will give them confidence.
Having that fighting spirit definitely gives them a chance of staying up because it shows how committed they are. But they need to score more goals if they're to accomplish that goal because goals enable you to win matches.
Newcastle will have been happy with their draw against AC Milan in midweek even though they were second best for much of the contest. They were helped a lot by Milan's awful finishing.
They might feel a bit leggy here because of them playing in Europe during the week and playing in Europe will test their squad depth.
But I still think they'll have enough to claim the points here as I don't see Sheffield United offering a huge amount going forward.
PREDICTION: 0-2
