SATURDAY:
ARSENAL V BRIGHTON
It's been a strong start to the season for Arsenal after winning both of their games so far and keeping a clean sheet in both as well.
Their win at Aston Villa last weekend was a crucial one and especially as they lost to them twice last season.
They signed Mikel Merino during the week and his signing will strengthen their squad further.
Brighton have also started the season very well and new boss Fabian Hurzeler is proving that age is just a number at 31 years of age.
Hurzeler will face another big test as a Premier League manager in this one which is arguably bigger as the Seagulls will be up against a potential title winning side.
The Seagulls have had some memorable wins against Arsenal in the past and they'll definitely look to give them a game here.
But with the sturdy defence that Arsenal have, I think they'll keep Brighton out and hit them on the break.
PREDICTION: 2-0
BRENTFORD V SOUTHAMPTON
Brentford left Ivan Toney out again last weekend against Liverpool and it looks like he's on his way out with Chelsea very close to signing him.
Losing him will be a blow, but they'll be fine without him as the likes of Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo have both stepped up in his absence in the past.
Southampton were poor against Forest in their last game after a promising display from their opening game against Newcastle.
They lacked a no.9 to score goals against Forest and I fear that may cost them this season. Adam Armstrong did net over 20 goals for them in the Championship last season, but his ability to score in the Premier League is questionable.
Brentford have had a decent record at home since they've been in the Premier League and I think they'll get another here.
PREDICTION: 3-0
EVERTON V BOURNEMOUTH
It's been a nightmare start to the season for Everton. No points, no goals scored and 7 goals conceded after just two games.
Jarrad Branthwaite has been a huge loss and without a doubt their biggest loss out of all the players they've been without. He was a big reason why the Toffees were very solid at the back last season.
Bournemouth are yet to win this season and were unlucky not to beat Newcastle in their last game. That was because their disallowed should never has been disallowed as it wasn't handball.
Like Toffees previous two opponents, Andoni Iraola's side will play on the front foot and cause them problems through their wide men.
I can see them do that here and I'm also backing new signing Evanilson to bag his first goal.
PREDICTION: 0-3
IPSWICH V FULHAM
After a tough opening two games, Ipswich finally have some winnable games coming up starting with this one.
They started brightly against Man City, but they soon had to learn some harsh lessons about the Premier League. Particularly with the way they were caught out when trying to play out from the back against one of the best pressing teams in the country.
Fulham were not as good away as they were at home last season and they've already been beaten on the road once this season, 1-0 on the opening day at Man United.
Ipswich's home form will be crucial if they're to stay up like it was during their promotion season last season.
They'll definitely be buoyed by the home crowd in this one like they were in the first half against Liverpool in their opening game.
But I think Fulham will be resilient enough to nick a draw.
PREDICTION: 1-1
LEICESTER V ASTON VILLA
Leicester's last home game saw them stay in the game and nick a draw against Spurs after being second best for much of the contest.
Like Ipswich, the Foxes will need to be strong at home if they're to stay up and manager Steve Cooper has experience of a strong home record from his time at Nottingham Forest. He'll be looking to transfer that experience into his new club.
Aston Villa were wasteful against Arsenal in a game they were on top in for a long time. Ollie Watkins' miss in the first half was arguably their best chance.
Villa will need to be clinical here otherwise they could drop more points. That happened to Spurs when they came to the King Power a couple of weeks ago.
I think they'll take their chances here and win the game comfortably as Leicester are likely to give up a number of chances.
PREDICTION: 1-3
NOTTINGHAM FOREST V WOLVES
Forest have made a steady start to the season, picking up a win and a draw in each of their opening two games.
They looked pretty solid at the back against Southampton and having a solid defence will be crucial if they're to push up the league. It's been an area concern since they've been in top flight and it's arguably been the reason why they've been battling relegation.
Wolves were in the game against Chelsea in the first half but in the second half, they didn't turn up.
Some people already have Wolves to be in a relegation battle this season and I can understand why after losing two of their best players in the summer in Kilman and Neto.
They need to get players through the door and quickly if they're to stay out of another dog fight this season.
I think their fears could increase here as I think Forest will be the side that come out on top here. Especially with the forward players they have.
PREDICTION: 2-0
WEST HAM V MAN CITY
West Ham got off the mark last weekend against Crystal Palace, and it was important that they did because they would not have wanted to come into this one off the back of two straight defeats.
Man City were given a scare by Ipswich last weekend, but they were always going to turn it around because of the side they are the quality they possess.
City could again he without Rodri for this one as he's still recovering from the knock he picked up in the Euros final. But Kovacic has stepped up in his absence reasonably well and I expect him to do the same here.
The Hammers will hit City on the counter, but City should still have enough quality to win the game.
PREDICTION: 1-3
SUNDAY:
CHELSEA V CRYSTAL PALACE
A lot has been said about Chelsea for pretty much the entire summer because of the amount of player they've brought and how they're all going to fit in.
They went on a silenced a lot of doubters against Wolves after which I felt that Enzo Maresca might be closer to finding his best team than you would think. Especially from a an attacking point of view.
Cole Palmer impressed in the no.10 position, which is where a lot of people see him as whilst Noni Madueke was excellent out on the right. The left hand side and centre forward positions are up for grabs but Palmer and Madueke are surely now guarantee d starters.
It hasn't been a great start for Palace results wise, and they're up against a Chelsea side who they have a terrible record against. They haven't beaten them since 2017.
The pressure will be on them to get results if they lose here and I think they will because of their recent record against the blues.
PREDICTION: 2-0
NEWCASTLE V TOTTENHAM
Newcastle have battered Spurs in this fixture for the last two seasons. They won 4-0 here last season and 6-1 the season before.
The Magpies were looked sloppy against Bournemouth and they were lucky to come away with a point.
They have to play better here otherwise Spurs will punish them.
Spurs were brilliant last time out against Everton where they were the better side all over the pitch.
Ange Postecoglou's side are great to watch on their day, but they can look vulnerable defensively.
I can see Newcastle expose that weakness like they did last season.
PREDICTION: 4-1
MAN UNITED V LIVERPOOL
Man United took points off Liverpool both home and away last season, and they also beat them in this fixture in the FA Cup.
Liverpool were wasteful in both games of this fixture last season where they had dominant spells in both.
I think they'll take their chances this time though as they'll have Diogo Jota up top and Jota is their most clinical player along with Salah.
United have started the season with a false 9 but it hasn't exactly worked. They haven't had that player who can run beyond the defence or get on the end of crosses.
Liverpool have made a strong start under Arne Slot and with United being far from convincing at the moment, I can see the reds rack up another victory.
PREDICTION: 0-2
