SATURDAY:
BRIGHTON V MAN UNITED
Brighton were impressive against Newcastle last week in particular Tariq Lamptey. He was a constant threat down that right hand side and caused Newcastle many problems. After a poor performance against Crystal Palace, United got a big win in mid-week against Luton in the League Cup with Rashford and Greenwood scoring which could give them confidence going into this game. If United can carry that result into this game, I think they'll win because they have something to build on and if the likes of Rashford and Fernandes show up like they did in mid-week when needed to, they'll win this game for sure.
PREDICTION: 1-3
CRYSTAL PALACE V EVERTON
Both sides have started the season really well after winning their opening two games. Palace were excellent against Man United in the way they set up and the way they executed their game plan. Everton are starting to look like a really good side with their new signings starting well and Dominic Calvert Lewin scoring goals. If Palace play like they did against United, they could get something out of this game as Everton can look suspect at the back and Palace are fairly strong defensively. Everton don't have a good record in this fixture of late and because if this and the reasons before, I think it will be a draw because Palace are well set up defensively and I think they can frustrate Everton and nick a goal.
PREDICTION: 1-1
WEST BROM V CHELSEA
Despite losing their opening two games conceding eight goals overall, West Brom have been decent to watch in certain moments during those games but haven't done enough to get something from them. Chelsea have finally signed a keeper who could make his debut this weekend and Chelsea fans will hope so after Kepa's error against Liverpool last Sunday. Kai Havertz got a hat trick in mid-week which will give him confidence going into this game and if he can play like he did against Barnsley, Chelsea should have enough to win this game. I'm going for a comfortable Chelsea win because I think they have a bit too much for the Baggies.
PREDICTION: 1-3
BURNLEY V SOUTHAMPTON
Burnley have some key players out injured in the likes of Mee, Barnes and Gudmundsson but Tarkowski could be back which will be big news for Sean Dyche as well as finally making a signing in Dale Stephens from Brighton. Southampton haven't made a good start after losing their opening two games to Crystal Palace and Tottenham so they'll be desperate to win this game to get their season up and running as will Burnley who lost their opening match to Leicester. With Burnley missing some key players and the Saints struggling at the moment, I think they'll cancel each other out so I'm going for a draw.
PREDICTION: 1-1
SUNDAY:
SHEFFIELD UNITED V LEEDS
Sheffield United will be desperate to win this one because they lost their opening two games to Wolves and Aston Villa and this game being a Yorkshire Derby. They also haven't scored a goal yet and goals are what win you football matches. Leeds are looking like the most exciting team to watch this season after watching their opening two matches against Liverpool and Fulham where they scored and conceded seven overall. I think Leeds will this one because the play they play might be too much for the Blades due to their intensity. I think Sheffield United will score, but Leeds should still have enough to win this one which will probably be another cracking game.
PREDICTION: 2-3
TOTTENHAM V NEWCASTLE
Spurs have some confidence on board after their big win against Southampton last weekend and their win in the Europa League on Thursday. Son and Kane were vital in both of those games and they both showed how important they are to Spurs. Newcastle didn't turn up against Brighton last week but did put seven past Morecambe on Wednesday in the League Cup with Joelinton surprisingly scoring twice. I think this one will be a win for Spurs because they're looking confident and with Kane and Son both in form, they have every chance of winning this game.
PREDICTION: 3-1
MAN CITY V LEICESTER
City looked impressive in their win over Wolves as they always do when they're at their best. Leicester have put their end of season slump behind them by winning their opening two games and winning them well against West Brom and Burnley. City may be without Aguero, but still have the likes of De Bruyne and Sterling fit plus Jesus who is capable of stepping up when the Argentine is unavailable. I think City will win this one because they have more quality than Leicester who will be without Wilfred N'Didi until November and he was badly missed between January and February last year as the Foxes began to tail off. The Foxes have started well, but City have just a bit too much quality for them.
PREDICTION: 3-1
WEST HAM V WOLVES
West Ham put in a better showing against Arsenal despite losing the game 2-1 and got a win in the cup against Hull in midweek which could give the team some confidence. With Diogo Jota leaving for Liverpool during the week, Wolves look set for a tough season because Jota has been a key player for them in the last two seasons. They did however sign Nelson Samedo from Barcelona as Matt Doherty's replacement which was needed having no other established right wing back in the squad. Wolves have beaten the Hammers every time they've faced them since they got promoted and I'm expecting them to do so again because of the quality they have. A straight forward win for Wolves.
PREDICTION: 0-2
MONDAY:
FULHAM V ASTON VILLA
Fulham need to win this one otherwise they're going to be in deep trouble and Scott Parker will be feeling the pressure. They need to shore up at the back because they've let in seven goals in already and their defence was a big concern when they were last in the Premier League two seasons ago. Villa got their season up and running with a win over Sheffield United on Monday and carried that result into their League Cup win over Bristol City where new signings Bertrand Traore and Ollie Watkins got on the score sheet. Fulham got a confidence boost with their League Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday and I think they'll carry that into this game because they kept a clean sheet and if they keep a clean sheet in this one, it will give their defence some confidence. I think this game game will be fairly close so I'm going for a draw.
PREDICTION: 1-1
LIVERPOOL V ARSENAL
Good start for both sides. Liverpool produced a controlled display against Chelsea even though they did have an extra man while Arsenal have looked impressive at both ends of the pitch. This will be a huge test for Arsenal and their defence which has looked solid so far this season and it need to be exactly that if they're to have any chance of getting something out of this game. I'm expecting Liverpool to produce a similar display to the one they produced against Chelsea and with Thiago in that midfield, they have every chance of getting behind Arsenal's defence which has been reasonably solid since Arteta's been there. Arsenal will have their chances, but I think Liverpool have just enough to win the game.
PREDICTION: 2-1
