SATURDAY:
LUTON V CHELSEA
Luton have given it a good go when taking on the big teams at home this season and have been unlucky not to come away with the points they've deserved in the games they've had against them.
Rob Edwards' side come into this game off the back of two straight wins against Newcastle and Sheffield United with the latter arguably being the more important. I think they'll get another one here as we don;t know which Chelsea will turn up.
Chelsea did beat Crystal Palace on Wednesday, but their form this season has been very inconsistent. Their away form of late has been poor having lost their last four games on the road.
With Luton being a more cohesive side and a team that are likely to show more spirit, I think they'll get the win here. Especially as they're at home.
PREDICTION: 1-0
ASTON VILLA V BURNLEY
Aston Villa surprisingly threw away a 2-0 lead against Man United on Boxing Day and I am puzzled as to how they did after looking pretty comfortable in the first half.
I think Unai Emery's side will return to winning ways here and especially as they're at home where they have such a good record under the Spaniard.
Burnley I thought competed well against Liverpool on Boxing Day in that they did well to keep the score down. But rarely showed anything at the other end.
They've struggled at both ends of the pitch all season and I think their struggles will continue here.
PREDICTION: 2-0
CRYSTAL PALACE V BRENTFORD
Both teams could really do with a win here with the form they're both in.
I'm starting to worry about Crystal Palace who are just three point above the relegation zone and without a win in over a month.
Their lack of goals is definitely as worry with only Sheffield United and Burnley scoring fewer. Goals have been a problem for Palace for a while now and they'll need to sort it out in January if they're to pull themselves away from danger.
Brentford are having a challenging third season in the Premier League and could still get sucked into a relegation battle.
Bryan Mbeumo has definitely been a miss for them as their attack has lacked a goal threat. But they will have Ivan Toney back soon which is a massive boost. An even bigger one if they can keep hold of him in January.
Palace have been strong at home at times over the last couple of seasons and as they're at home for this one, I think they'll return to winning ways here. Especially with both Eze and Olise available.
PREDICTION: 2-0
MAN CITY V SHEFFIELD UNITED
Man City showed that they're a side not to be written off against Everton on Wednesday and their win could be the start of something heading into the second half of the season.
City will still be without Haaland and De Bruyne for this one, but I don't see their absences have an effect on them as they have players who can come in and make the step up.
Sheffield United gave City a good game in the reverse fixture back in August where they nearly took a point of them.
The Blades have been more difficult to beat under Chris Wilder and they'll definitely look to give City another good game. But I think City's quality will again shine through.
PREDICTION: 2-0
WOLVES V EVERTON
When these two last met back in August, they both had a similar problem. They both had problems scoring goals and those goal scoring problems have been put to bed since.
Wolves have definitely been more clinical this season and they were exactly that against Brentford on Wednesday.
Everton have also been more clinical this season but the only difference between them and Wolves is that, Wolves have an in-form and more clinical striker in Hwang Hee Chan.
The mood around Everton was very dark this time last season and Sean Dyche has certainly lifted that mood since he's been in charge. He's steadied a sinking ship and there is now more positivity around the club.
I think this one will be very close as both sides are tough to beat defensively and I think they'll both be on top in this game.
PREDICTION: 1-1
NOTTINGHAM FOREST V MAN UNITED
Nottingham Forest got a much needed win on Boxing Day against Newcastle and away from home no less. They've now won more games on the road this season than they did in the entirety of last season.
I was happy that Chris Wood got his hat trick against his former club and so will his team as they'll need him to keep it up with Taiwo Awoniyi still out.
Man United came out with more desire in the second half against Aston Villa on Boxing Day and it's something that Erik Ten Hag will want his side to show more of.
It was good to see Rasmus Hojlund finally get his first Premier League goal for the club in that game and that goal will hopefully give him some much needed confidence.
United have been very inconsistent this season, but I think they'll get another win here as I think they'll have enough quality to get it.
PREDICTION: 0-2
NEW YEARS EVE:
FULHAM V ARSENAL
Fulham were on a good run of form until they lost three on the spin and I think not having Raul Jimenez available has played a part in that. The Mexican will be back for this one and he'll hopefully give the Cottagers the focal point they've lacked in recent games.
Arsenal missed the chance to go top of the league last night against West Ham where they had a number of chances, but they're able to take them.
Their inability to take those chances could be a reminder that they still need that clinical centre forward. There is definitely a case that they need one as Gabriel Jesus isn't really a goal scorer and Eddie Nketiah is not on that level.
Fulham will look to make it difficult for them here as they're a resilient team. But I think Arsenal will have enough to bounce back here.
PREDICTION: 1-2
TOTTENHAM V BOURNEMOUTH
Spurs have been a better team to watch this season under Ange Postecoglou, but they have at times been vulnerable defensively. Their defeat at Brighton last night was an example of that as defensively they were very poor.
There is no doubt that they're missing some of their injured players and especially in defence. Van De Ven has been a huge loss for them as too as been Romero when he's been out of the side. There's talk of Postecoglou going out to buy a centre half in January and understandably so given their injury crisis back there.
Bournemouth are on fire at the moment and especially away from home where they have won their last four on the spin.
They'll definitely cause problems here as Spurs can look vulnerable defensively as I have just mentioned. With an in-form striker at the top of the pitch in Dominic Solanke, the cherries have every chance.
They'll definitely score, but I think Spurs will come away with the points as they'll have enough firepower in their attack.
PREDICTION: 2-1
NEW YEARS DAY:
LIVERPOOL V NEWCASTLE
I can only see this one go one way. Liverpool have a good record when playing at home whilst Newcastle have one of the worst records away.
Liverpool did drop points in their last two home games against Man United and Arsenal respectively. But they should still have more than enough to win this one.
Newcastle have a poor record when facing Liverpool and especially at Anfield. I don't see that changing here as they're looking absolutely shattered and have been poor on the road all season.
Their only win away from home was their 8-0 win over Sheffield United back in September.
PREDICTION: 3-1
TUESDAY:
WEST HAM V BRIGHTON
West Ham's win over Brighton back in August was their first victory over them in the Premier League and I fancy them to complete the double over the Seagulls with the form they're in.
It's been a good Christmas for the Hammers after wins over Man United and Arsenal which have lifted them into 6th. I can see them round it off with another win here.
Brighton looked more like their old selves against Spurs last night as they were back to playing at their usual intensity and caused Spurs a number of problems.
But I do worry about the amount of goals they're conceding. They're yet to keep a clean sheet this season and with the threat that West Ham pose on the break, I can see their defence being exposed again.
PREDICTION: 2-1
