Premier League Predictions: Matchweek 12

SATURDAY:

WOLVES V TOTTENHAM

Wolves will look to hit Spurs on the counter here as they have the pace out wide to get in behind Spurs' very high line. But without Pedro Neto, I don't see them being as effective as Chelsea were on Monday because of the pace and goal threat he offers in behind.

Spurs could be without a host of players for this one due to their long injury list and they'll definitely be without three of their first choice defenders. Romero and Udogie are both suspended after being sent off against Chelsea whilst Van De Ven is injured.

James Maddison is a doubt after going off injured against Chelsea but I have a sneaky feeling that he might play a part. Even if he's not available, I still think Spurs will win here as they'll have an in-form Son available.

PREDICTION: 0-2

ARSENAL V BURNLEY

Arsenal put in a dominant display against Sevilla in midweek which was a good response to their controversial defeat at Newcastle.

They should definitely win this one as Burnley do look vulnerable defensively with the gaps they leave in behind. I can see the Gunners exploit that with the pace and attacking quality they have out wide in Saka and Martinelli.

Burnley probably should've won against Crystal Palace last week with the amount of chances they had. But they didn't take them and I'm starting to worry for them now as they have problems both in attack and defence.

They're obviously going to carry on playing the way they play and again I can see their defence getting exposed. Especially when facing the quality of players that Arsenal have.

PREDICTION: 5-0

CRYSTAL PALACE V EVERTON

Crystal Palace weren't at their best against Burnley but they still got the job done and seeing Eberechi Eze back from injury was a welcome boost.

They are however still without Michael Olise who they need to get back quickly as their attack doesn't many goals in it.

Everton have turned a corner in recent weeks and are very much looking like a Sean Dyche side.

Their best results this season have come away from home and they'll want to keep up their good away form here. But with Selhurst Park being a tough place to go to, I think the points will be shared.

PREDICTION: 1-1

MAN UNITED V LUTON

Some Man United fans might've seen their win at Fulham last week as a turning point in their season. But it was anything but that after blowing a two goal lead against Copenhagen in midweek.

They still have a lot of problems and they're unlikely to go away unless they can string a run of good results and performances together. Winning this one would certainly be a start.

Luton were so unlucky against Liverpool last weekend and their performance will have given them plenty of encouragement heading into this one.

They might actually fancy themselves here as they're more of a team than United are at the moment. Also United at home this season have been rather poor. I can see them unsettle United like they unsettled Liverpool.

PREDICTION: 0-1

BOURNEMOUTH V NEWCASTLE

Bournemouth were taught a footballing lesson by Man City last time out which can happen to pretty much anyone.

They took points off Newcastle both home and away last season and may fancy themselves to do the same here with the Magpies having played in Europe.

Being in Europe is beginning to have an effect on Newcastle who are without a host of players through injury. The injuries come as a result of them being in Europe and their lack of squad depth is catching up with them.

They got outplayed by Dortmund in midweek as their midfield got broken through fairly easily. They also offered very little in attack which shows how dominant the German side were.

Because of playing in Europe during the week and having a number of players out injured, I can see them being slightly off the pace here. Bournemouth will look to make the most of it, but I don't see them taking their chances.

PREDICTION: 1-1

SUNDAY:

ASTON VILLA V FULHAM

Aston Villa had a rare off day against Nottingham Forest last weekend which was surprising given the form they've been in this season.

They should definitely bounce back here though as they're at home where their form has been very good having won their last 12 games there. I can see them extend that run to 13 here.

Fulham will stay in the game for as long as they can as they have done many times this season. But they don't have enough firepower in attack having scored just 9 goals this season.

With Villa being strong at home and having more firepower in attack, they should have more than enough to win this one.

PREDICTION: 2-0

BRIGHTON V SHEFFIELD UNITED

Brighton started the season really well but their form since then has been poor. They're without a win in six league games and part of that has been down to being in Europe. They've had to play a lot of games as a result of them being in Europe and their squad is struggling to cope with it.

Sheffield United finally got off the mark last week against Wolves which will hopefully give them the confidence to kick start their season.

But I don't see them following it up here as I think Brighton will have more than enough to win this game.

The Seagulls might feel a bit tired as a result of them being in Europe, but they should still have more than enough quality to win this game.

PREDICTION: 3-0

LIVERPOOL V BRENTFORD

It was good to see Luis Diaz get that late equaliser in Liverpool's draw with Luton last weekend after what he's had to go through for the last week or two. He'll be sleeping well for the next few nights after hearing that his father has been released.

The reds will be without Alexis Mac Allister for this one after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season against Luton. This should pave the way for Waturo Endo to start at the base of the midfield and I'm hoping he will start more as he's more of a defensive midfielder than Mac Allister is.

Brentford have a good record when facing the bigger sides and they come into this one off the back of three straight wins.

The Bees will definitely make it a close game here as they usually do when taking on the bigger sides. But with Liverpool being so strong at home, I think the reds will have enough here.

PREDICTION: 2-0

WEST HAM V NOTTINGHAM FOREST

West Ham are not in good form heading into this one as they come into it off the back of three straight defeats and a four game winless run.

Some fans were calling for David Moyes to go not that long ago which I found absolute nonsense due to the job he's done since he's been at the club. They have some winnable games coming up which will give them a good chance of getting their season back on track.

Nottingham Forest had the worst away record in the league last season and we're yet to find out if they're any better on the road this season.

A win here could give us an answer to that. But I don't see them getting one here as I think the Hammers will have more than enough to claim the points here.

PREDICTION: 3-1

CHELSEA V MAN CITY

Chelsea were helped massively by Spurs going down to nine men on Monday as it changed the game and gave the blues plenty of space to run in behind. Nicolas Jackson bagging a hat trick will be good for his confidence but will he be able to follow it up.

Man City taught Bournemouth a lesson last weekend and did something similar with Young Boys in midweek in the Champions League. They showed their quality on both occasions.

With Chelsea struggling at home and not having the calibre of players that City have, I can see the champions put on another masterclass here.

PREDICTION: 0-3
