Premier League 2023-24 Preview

The new Premier League season kicks off this weekend and it looks set to be a normal season unlike the last one where a World Cup took place right in the middle.

In this preview I've done a little fact file on each club which includes where I think they'll finish this season, their strongest line ups and who their most important player is likely to be alongside their stats from last season.

ARSENAL

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 2nd

FA CUP: 4th Round

LEAGUE CUP: 3rd Round

EUROPE: Europa League Last 16

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka, 15

Arsenal spent the majority of last season at the top of the league but a lack of squad depth caught up with them as they fell away towards the end. They should have a stronger squad this season with the signings of Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber who will both provide the depth it lacked last season. Declan Rice is obviously their standout signing but he's someone who will improve the first 11 in general. With a stronger squad this time round, they could push City again.

KEY PLAYER: MARTIN ODEGAARD

Odegaard was the difference for the Gunners last season by running the show from the midfield and being their leader on the pitch. No midfield player score moe goals than him last season and another season like last year will see him be among the favourites for the player of the year award.

PLAYER TO WATCH: DECLAN RICE

Rice has firmly established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League over the last few seasons and now he has the chance to become one of the best in Europe. He'll bring loads of leadership as well as quality to this Arsenal team.

PREDICTION: 2nd

They've made some decent buys this summer to improve the depth of their squad which was what let them down last season. With the signings they've made, they look like City's closest challengers.

ASTON VILLA

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 7th

FA CUP: 3rd Round

LEAGUE CUP: 3rd Round

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Ollie Watkins, 16

Unai Emery completely turned Aston Villa around when he arrived last November taking them from a possible relegation battle to a European challenge. Villa look on course to kick on this season this season as Emery has had a transfer window to build the team in his image. Pau Torres and Youri Tielemans are both statements signings and will both look to improve the team in their respective departments.

KEY PLAYER: OLLIE WATKINS

Watkins stepped up as Villa'a go-to man towards the end of last season as he netted 12 times during the second half of the campaign. He was unlucky not to receive an England recall with the form he was in and if he can start this season like he finished last, a return to the set-up is possible.

PLAYER TO WATCH: PAU TORRES

Torres played under Emery at Villarreal and will therefore know how his old boss wants to play. With the experience he has at the top level alongside the quality of player he is, he could take Villa to the next level.

PREDICTION: 8th

They haven't got the squad to compete on both fronts. They've made some decent signings who can take the team to the next level but with their squad not being the biggest, they might fall short.

BOURNEMOUTH

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 15th

FA CUP: 3rd Round

LEAGUE CUP: 4th Round

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Philip Billing and Dominic Solanke, 7

Quite a few eyebrows must've been raised when Gary O'Neil was sacked not long after he kept Bournemouth up and quite comfortably. The Cherries have Andoni Iraola in charge now who is hoping to play a more expansive style of play which could take the players time to get used to. Some of their fans will have felt excited by his appointment and after replacing someone who kept them up the season before, the Cherries could even do a Leicester.

KEY PLAYER: PHILIP BILLING

Billing was the Cherries' most consistent player last season with the goals he scored and the work he put in the midfield. He scored some crucial goals last season and his team will need him to step up against if they're to stay up.

PLAYER TO WATCH: JUSTIN KLUIVERT

Kluivert hasn't quite lived up to his potential yet and this move could help him get his career back on track. He's definitely got the ability and Iraola will want to get the best out of him.

PREDICTION: 18th

It will take time for them to get used to Iraola's style of play and time is something they'll need to give him. But with not enough goals in the team, they could struggle.

BRENTFORD

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 9th

FA CUP: 3rd Round

LEAGUE CUP: 3rd Round

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Ivan Toney, 21

Brentford are set to start the season without Ivan Toney who is suspended for the first few months for breaking betting rules. The Bees haven't brought in a striker to take his place which some people may see as a concern. But when he was unavailable last season, Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo both stepped up and will be expected to do the same during the opening months of the season.

The Bees have been brilliant since they came up to the Premier League and they're surely now an established Premier League club after finishing 13th and 9th in their two seasons respectively. What they achieved last season was absolutely incredible but repeating it will be tough. Especially without Toney.

KEY PLAYER: BRYAN MBEUMO

With Ivan Toney suspended for the first half of the season, the Bees will need someone to step up and the main and Mbeumo is likely to be that player. He's been a key player for Thomas Frank since he's been at the club and has often stepped up when Toney hasn't been around.

PLAYER TO WATCH: MIKKEL DAMSGAARD

Damsgaards had a disappointing first season last season and will be looking to prove a point this season. He's impressed a lot during pre-season and after having a season to adjust to the Premier League, the Bees will hopefully see the player they signed from Sampdoria.

PREDICTION: 13th

Not having Toney for the first half of the season is a massive blow but other players can step up. They won't be as good as they were last season but they should have another comfortable season.

BRIGHTON

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 6th

FA CUP: Semi Finals

LEAGUE CUP: 4th Round

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Alexis Mac Allister, 12

Brighton had a season to remember last season as they finished 6th and qualified for Europe for the first time. With the Seagulls in Europe this season, they'll be expecting a more challenging season because of the amount of games and travelling involved. They've made some decent signing to bolster their squad with one or two of them having experience of playing in European competition in veteran James Milner and Mahmoud Dahoud. But losing Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool is a blow and so too could Moises Caicedo if he leaves.

KEY PLAYER: KAORU MITOMA

Last season was Mitoma's breakthrough season where he netted 7 times as the Seagulls finished 6th. With Alexis Mac Allister gone and Moises Caceido potentially on his way out, the Japanese forward has the chance to step up as the Seagulls' main man.

PLAYER TO WATCH: JOAO PEDRO

The Seagulls have been good at recruiting promising young players in recent seasons and Pedro is another one of those players. He showed a lot of promise during his time at Watford and now is his chance to show it on the big stage.

PREDICTION: 9th

Repeating last season's success will be tough as they'll be in Europe with a small squad. They have made some decent signings but with Mac Allister gone, another European challenge is unlikely.

BURNLEY

LAST SEASONS STATS:

CHAMPIONSHIP: 1st

FA CUP: Quarter Finals

LEAGUE CUP: 4th Round

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Nathan Tella, 19

This is a new and different Burnley team to the one that were relegated two seasons ago in that they're a side who play more on the front foot. The Clarets were brilliant to watch last season in Vincent Kompany's first season in charge as they amassed 101 points and scored the most goals in the division. Replacing Nathan Tella's goals will be tough as their strikers don't score many but the Clarets' approach won't change. They'll still go out there and give anyone a game.

KEY PLAYER: JOSH CULLEN

Cullen was the Clarets' player of the season last season and is the heartbeat of the team. He keeps things ticking in the midfield and his presence in front of the defence gives the forward players the freedom to roam.

PLAYER TO WATCH: JAMES TRAFFORD

England's U21 penalty hero kept a clean sheet in every game during the U21 Euro's which should give him a lot of confidence heading into this season. If he can make the step up this season, he could put himself into Gareth Southgate's thoughts.

PREDICTION: 14th

They were great to watch in the Championship last season by playing on the front foot. If they play like that this season, they could surprise a few.

CHELSEA

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 12th

FA CUP: 3rd Round

LEAGUE CUP: 3rd Round

EUROPE: Champions League Quarter Finals

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Kai Havertz and Raheem Sterling, 9

Chelsea had an absolute mess of a season last year both on and off the pitch as they went through three managers and looked disjointed as a team. New boss Mauricio Pochettino has started to fix the mess by moving on several first team players to decrease the size of his squad. He even wants to move more on so he has a a squad that will be more manageable. He has brought in players with Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson being the two standouts and both will be looking to fix their main problem from last season in scoring goals.

KEY PLAYER: ENZO FERNANDEZ

Despite last season being an absolute shocker for the blues, Fernandez did have moments where he showed his class. With a more settled team around him this time, he'll hopefully make more of an impact.

PLAYER TO WATCH: CHRISTOPHER NKUNKU

Nkunku netted 23 goals in all competitions for RB Leipzig last season and if there is something the blues lacked last season, it was a goal scorer. If he can start well, he could solve that problem instantly.

PREDICTION: 6th

It will take time for them to adapt to Pochettino's methods and for the team to properly gel after a disjointed season. They have cleared out all the deadwood in their, but another transitional season awaits.

CRYSTAL PALACE

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 11th

FA CUP: 3rd Round

LEAGUE CUP: 3rd Round

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Eberechi Eze, 10

Crystal Palace this season begin life without Wilfried Zaha who left the club to join Galatasaray. The Eagles have been solely reliant on the Ivorian over the last few seasons and it will be interesting to see how they cope without him. They did well without him towards the end of last season whilst he was injured with Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise both stepping up and the pair of them will need to do so again.

Keeping Roy Hodgson was key after what he did last season in keeping them a good distance away from the relegation zone. He got Palace playing with a freedom at the back end of last season and he'll be looking to do the same again this season.

KEY PLAYER: EBERECHI EZE

Eze stepped up as a key player for Palace at the back end of last season in the absence of Wilfried Zaha. With Zaha now gone, Eze now has the chance to become the Eagles' new talisman.

PLAYER TO WATCH: MICHAEL OLISE

Like Eze, Olise will also need to step up following the departure of former talisman Zaha. He registered 11 assists last season and if he can add more goals to his game, he could be some player.

PREDICTION: 11th

Losing Zaha is a massive blow, but they do have players who can step up in Eze and Olise. They'll again have more than enough to survive but not enough to push further up the table.

EVERTON

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 17th

FA CUP: 3rd Round

LEAGUE CUP: 3rd Round

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Dwight McNeil, 7

Everton were in such a mess last season and they began to sort out the mess in the summer by moving board some members of their board. Survival will again be the aim given how the last couple of seasons have gone and especially with this season set to be their final one at Goodison Park. They're due to move into their swanky new stadium in time for the start of next season and they'll want to begin life there as a Premier League club.

KEY PLAYER: JORDAN PICKFORD

Pickford has saved Everton many times over the last couple of seasons and without him they would almost certainly be in the Championship. If they're to avoid another relegation scrap this season, they'll need him on top of his game once again.

PLAYER TO WATCH: ARNAUT DANJUMA

Danjuma turned the Toffees down in January only for him to accept their offer in the summer. The Toffees struggled to score goals last season and the former Bournemouth winger will definitely provide that.

PREDICTION: 17th

They haven't made many major signings and goals could once again be a problem. Despite that they should be safe only because of the manager they have.

FULHAM

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 10th

FA CUP: Quarter Finals

LEAGUE CUP: 2nd Round

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Aleksandar Mitrovic, 15

Fulham had a good first season back in the top flight last season and they'll no doubt be looking to build on it this season. There are however questions hanging over the future of star man Aleksandar Mitrovic who has been strongly linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and has even said that he doesn't want to play for the club again. The Cottagers have signed Raul Jimenez from Wolves as a possible replacement. But is he hasn't hit the level he reached before his horrific injury.

KEY PLAYER: JOAO PALHINHA

Palhinha made such a difference for Fulham last season and keeping hold of him was crucial. The Cottagers are a better team defensively when he's in front of the back four because of the amount of times he wins the ball back. He made more tackles than any other player last season.

PLAYER TO WATCH: RAUL JIMENEZ

He might not be the same player he was three years ago but on his day, Jimenez is a proven goal scorer at this level. With Mitrovic wanting to leave, the Mexican will need to re-install the confidence he had before his horrific injury if the Serbian goes.

PREDICTION: 10th

Losing MItrovic could be a blow, but they still have a good enough squad to kick on. It will be a more challenging season for them but with a strong team in all areas, they could have another decent season.

LIVERPOOL

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 5th

FA CUP: 4th Round

LEAGUE CUP: 4th Round

EUROPE: Champions League Last 16

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Mohamed Salah, 30

Liverpool had a disappointing season last season with inconsistent form costing them a top four finish. Their midfield was the main area that needed sorting and they've done that with the signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai who will both hopefully give the energy the midfield lacked last season. But they have lost Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi Arabia which has left them in need of a defensive midfielder. Jurgen Klopp must get one in before the window closes.

KEY PLAYER: MOHAMED SALAH

Salah has established himself as a Liverpool legend over the last few seasons yet he doesn't always get the credit he deserves. He's netted 20+ goals in all but two of his six seasons at Anfield and he even became their record Premier League goal scorer last season.

PLAYER TO WATCH: DOMINIK SZOBOSZLAI

The Liverpool midfield needed refreshing after it looked leggy and low on energy for the majority of last season. Szoboszlai will bring a bit of everything to the department in energy, goals and creativity. All of which the reds have lacked for a while.

PREDICTION: 4th

They've solved their midfield problem with the signings they've made who will hopefully give them team the energy it lacked last season. If they can keep their attacking players fit, the top four is theirs.

LUTON

LAST SEASONS STATS:

CHAMPIONSHIP: 3rd (Play Off Winners)

FA CUP: 4th Round

LEAGUE CUP: 1st Round

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Carlton Morris, 20

Luton were a non-league club a decade ago and for them to be in the Premier League is some achievement. They were last in the top flight in 1992, the season before the Premier League existed. They will have to wait for their first home game whilst Kenilworth Road gets redeveloped but their fans will still be as excited as ever ahead of their return to the top flight.

KEY PLAYER: CARLTON MORRIS

Morris bagged the majority of Luton's goals last season as they won promotion and was arguably their only major goal threat. If the Hatters are to stay up, they need him in form and soring goals.

PLAYER TO WATCH: PELLY RUDDOCK MPANZU

Mpanzu has been with the Hatters ever since they were in non-league and has been a key part of their rise through the leagues. He'll be someone who will show spirit and drive because he knows what it means to play for the club.

PREDICTION: 20th

They've been on such an incredible journey over the last decade but I can see that journey come to an end here. They don't have enough Premier League experience in their squad and they could also struggle to score goals with Morris being their only major goal threat.

MAN CITY

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 1st

FA CUP: Winners

LEAGUE CUP: Quarter Finals

EUROPE: Champions League Winners

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Erling Haaland, 52

How much more can Pep do with this team? City have been the dominant team in England under his management and last season they finally reached the holy grail in winning the Champions League. There is talk about them potentially wining the quadruple which no side has ever done. Completing that is a massive ask and even for a squad as talented as this one. But they'll still be the team to beat once again.

KEY PLAYER: ERLING HAALAND

Haaland took City onto another level last season as he netted a whopping 52 goals in all competitions. If he can start this season like he did last, he could have his eyes set on the Ballon D'or.

PLAYER TO WATCH: MATEO KOVACIC

Kovacic has come in as a like for like replacement for Ilkay Gundogan and is a similar kind of player. He might not be the goal getter the German was but he'll still give City bags of energy in that midfield. He's the kind of player Pep wants in his team.

PREDICTION: 1st

They may have lost some important players but their squad still looks very strong as it usually does. I don't see them winning another treble but they'll be up there towards the end.

MAN UNITED

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 3rd

FA CUP: Runners Up

LEAGUE CUP: Winners

EUROPE: Europa League Quarter Finals

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Marcus Rashford, 30

Man United had a decent season under Erik Ten Hag last season as they won a trophy and finished in the top four. They'll be expected to kick on this season and especially with the signings they made. Andre Onana is someone Ten Hag knows from his time at Ajax and is a keeper who will suit the way his manager likes to play whilst Mason Mount will bring energy and athleticism to the midfield. Rasmus Hojlund will need time to settle in and is seen more as a player for the future.

KEY PLAYER: MARCUS RASHFORD

Rashford carried United's attack for the majority of last season with his 17 league goals being crucial to United finishing in the top four. He's taken his game to another level since Erik Ten Hag has come in and could take it even further this season.

PLAYER TO WATCH: ANDRE ONANA

United needed a keeper who could play out from the back and Onana ticks that box. He played under Ten Hag during his time at Ajax and will very well know how his manager will want him to play.

PREDICTION: 3rd

They've signed the players needed to, but they squad still doesn't have enough depth. Because of this they again look short of challenging for the title.

NEWCASTLE

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 4th

FA CUP: 3rd Round

LEAGUE CUP: Runners Up

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Callum Wilson, 18

Newcastle in all fairness overperformed last season with no one expecting them to even challenge for a Champions League spot. The expectations will be higher this season because of the season they had last year and with them being back in the Champions League, they're squad depth will be tested. The signigns they've made have added to the depth of their squad with Sandro Tonali bringing high level experience and Harvey Barnes giving their attack another option. They've also signed Tino Livramento from Southampton. But he will need time to get going after a year out injured.

KEY PLAYER: BRUNO GUIMARAES

The Magpies missed Guimaraes when he was unavailable last season which shows how important the Brazilian is for them. We could see the Brazilian at his best this season as he's likely to play in a more advanced position following the arrival of Sandro Tonali.

PLAYER TO WATCH: SANDRO TONALI

The Magpies needed someone with Champions League experience and quality in their side so they can compete on both fronts. With the experience he has of playing at a high level, he could taken the toon to the next level.

PREDICTION: 5th

There will be a higher expectation of them because of what they did last season. With the club in the Champions League this season with a small and inexperienced squad at that level, the pressure could be toom much for them.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 16th

FA CUP: 3rd Round

LEAGUE CUP: Semi Finals

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Taiwo Awoniyi, 11

Nottingham Forest haven't had quite as crazy a summer as they did last year where they brought in over 20 players with more being added in January. Steve Cooper had a disjointed squad for much of last season and he still managed to keep them up which is a fantastic achievement. Their home form was crucial last season and will be again this season as they look to avoid the second season syndrome. But their away form must be better.

KEY PLAYER: MORGAN GIBBS-WHITE

Gibbs-White was Forest's main man for the majority of last season with his 5 goals and 8 assists being crucial to them staying up. He was one of England's standout performers during the U21 Euro's anmd if he can carry that form into this season, a senior call up could come for him.

PLAYER TO WATCH: CHRIS WOOD

Wood only found the net once in seven games last season whilst on loan yet the club decided to sign him up permanently during the summer. With more opportunities this time round, he'll hopefully give Forest what they lacked last season in a consistent goal scorer.

PREDICTION: 16th

It hasn't quite been as crazy summer compared to last season, but they still have a packed squad. With a more settled team this time round and a good manager at the helm, they could kick on.

SHEFFIELD UNITED

LAST SEASONS STATS:

CHAMPIONSHIP: 2nd

FA CUP: Semi Finals

LEAGUE CUP: 1st Round

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Iliman Ndiaye and Oli McBurnie, 15

Sheffield United had a season to forget the last time they were in the Premier League and will be hoping for a much better campaign this season. Having the Bramall Lane crowd on their side will be a massive boost because they really missed it last time due to COVID-19 restrictions. It hasn't been a great summer for Paul Heckingbottom's side as they've struggled to get players through the door and have lost top scorer Iliman Ndiaye to Marseille. Goals was their main problem last time and is set to be again this season.

KEY PLAYER: OLIVER NORWOOD

Norwood was with the Blades the last time they were in the Premier League and was a key player in their promotion campaign last season. He brings bags of energy and creativity to the midfield and is someone who always wants the ball.

PLAYER TO WATCH: OLI MCBURNIE

McBurnie scored 13 times during the Blades' promotion campaign last season but is yet to prove himself i the Premier League. If the Blades are to beat the drop this season, they'll need him scoring goals regularly. Especially now Iliman Ndiaye has left.

PREDICTION: 19th

Losing Ndiaye is a massive blow and they're also yet to make a major signing. With not a lot of quality and goals in the team, this season could be another struggle for them.

TOTTENHAM

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 8th

FA CUP: 5th Round

LEAGUE CUP: 3rd Round

EUROPE: Champions League Last 16

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Harry Kane, 32

Spurs were an absolute shambles last season as they missed out on Europe as a whole and were unconvincing to watch. Ange Postecoglu is in charge now and he'll be looking to bring back that attacking style of play that Spurs fans have missed since the days of Mauricio Pochettino. The Australian has a big task on his hands in getting Spurs back into the Champions League and his job could be made even harder if Harry Kane leaves. He has made some decent signings with Guglielmo Vicario being an upgrade on Hugo Lloris and James Maddison looking to provide the creativity they desperately lacked last season. But their season could well be decided on the future of Harry Kane.

KEY PLAYER: HEUNG MIN SON

Son had a poor season by his usual high standards last season and he'll very much want to put that behind him heading into this season. With striker partner Kane likely to depart soon, he may need to step up as Spurs' go-to man.

PLAYER TO WATCH: JAMES MADDISON

Maddison has been one of the most creative player in the Premier League over the last few seasons and is the kind of player that Spurs have been crying out for. Spurs lacked creativity last season and in Maddison they have finally found a replacement for Christian Eriksen.

PREDICTION: 7th

It will take them time to get used to Postecoglu's way of playing and they could also lose star striker Kane. No European football will help but without Kane, it could be another long season.

WEST HAM

LAST SEASONS STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 14th

FA CUP: 5th Round

LEAGUE CUP: 3rd Round

EUROPE: Europa Conference League Winners

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Michail Antonio, 14

West Ham have had a frustrating summer as they haven't been able to sign many players with Edson Alvarez being their only summer signing. After losing Declan Rice and the money they got for him, a number of people were probably expecting them to bring in more players. But it hasn't been the case. With another European campaign to look forward after winning the Europa Conference League last season, they need to bring in more players so they have a big enough squad to compete on both fronts.

KEY PLAYER: JARROD BOWEN

Bowen has already put himself in West Ham history with his winning goal in the Europa Conference final last season. With Declan Rice gone, he now has the chance to step up as the Hammers' main man. If he can replicate his form from two seasons ago, a return to the England squad beckons.

PLAYER TO WATCH: LUCAS PAQUETA

It took a while for Paqueta to settle in when he arrived last summer but once he was, he went on to play a huge part in the Hammers staying up. Now he's properly settled, the Hammers will hopefully see the player they spent all that money on.

PREDICTION: 12th

Losing Rice is a massive blow plus they've also had a quiet transfer window. With that alongside another season in Europe, a return to the top 10 is unlikely.

WOLVES

LAST SEASON STATS:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 13th

FA CUP: 3rd Round

LEAGUE CUP: Quarter Finals

EUROPE: N/A

TOP SCORER (ALL COMPS)

Ruben Neves and Daniel Podence, 6

This summer has been an absolute nightmare for Wolves. They haven't made many signings, they've lost their best player in Ruben Neves and now Julen Lopetegui has gone. Their financial situation certainly hasn't helped as it's forced to to sell players in order to buy some. Lopetegui was frustrated by this and new boss Gary O'Neil has a bug job on his hands. They could be in for a struggle.

KEY PLAYER: JOSE SA

Sa has arguably been Wolves' best player over the last couple of seasons because of the amount of times he's kept them in games. Without him they would've finished lower down the table.

PLAYER TO WATCH: MARIO LEMINA

Lemina brought a calmness to the Wolves midfield last season and it played a massive part in them staying up. With Ruben Neves gone, he'll need to step up as Wolves' go to man in midfield.

PREDICTION: 15th

They haven't made many signings over the summer and have also lost talisman Neves. With a lack of goals thrown into the mix, another dogfight awaits them.
