Liverpool v Tottenham: Combined XI's

CURRENT COMBINED 11

GK: ALISSON - I've put Alisson in because he's probably the best keeper in the league and makes a huge difference to Liverpool when he's on the pitch. His presence makes Liverpool look solid defensively because of his distribution and vital saves.

RB: TRENT ALEXANDER ARNOLD - I just had to have TAA at right back because he's probably the best right back in the world at the moment. He creates lots of chances for his team and is good at both ends of the pitch. With the amount of chances he creates, it won't be long till he's move into midfield.

CB: VIRGIL VAN DIJK - No doubt that this man was going to be in. Van Dijk has a positive impact on the players around him by being a leader and role model on the pitch. He's been missed by Liverpool since he's been out injured.

CB: TOBY ALDERWEIRELD - Alderweireld has been one of the best defenders in the Premier League in the last few seasons which is why he's in this team. He positions himself really well in one on one situations and times his tackles to perfection which makes him a really good defender.

LB: ANDREW ROBERTSON - I just had to put Robertson in because he is without a doubt the best left back in the league. He's good at both ends of the pitch and especially going forward because he creates lots of chances from left back which earns him at least 10 assists a season.

CDM: FABINHO - I've put Fabinho in as the defensive midfielder because he's disciplined, dictates play with his passing and stops opposition attacks. This is what you want from a defensive midfielder and Fabinho has the lot which is why he's one of the best in his position.

CM: JORDAN HENDERSON - Henderson has developed into a fine player since he's been at Liverpool. He's grown both as a player and a leader which is what makes him the player he is today as the captain of Liverpool. He makes a huge difference when he's on the pitch because of his drive and leadership.

CM: GIORGINIO WIJNALDUM - I put Wijnaldum in over Sissoko and Winks because I think he's a better player than both of them. He brings lots of energy to the Liverpool team and also scores big goals for them. Especially in the big games.

RW: MOHAMED SALAH - I was never leaving Salah out of this team. The amount of goals he's scored since he's been at Liverpool is absolutely incredible and that has helped him become one of the best forwards in world football. He's currently the joint second highest goal scorer in the Premier League behind Dominic Calvert Lewin.

LW: SADIO MANE - I've put Mane in over Son because he gets more goals than Son per season. He makes a huge difference to Liverpool when he's in the team because of his pace and the way he starts the high press which is key to the way Liverpool play. He's grown into a world class player since he's been at Anfield.

ST: HARRY KANE - I've put Kane because he's a goal scorer and also a creator like he has been this season. This makes him a world class striker because of the numbers he gets for both goals and assists plus it makes him an all round centre forward.

ALL TIME COMBINED 11:

GK: PEPE REINA - Reina's in because he's the best keeper out of the two clubs in the Premier League era. He made lots of top class saves when he was at Liverpool and won the golden glove for three straight seasons. He made Liverpool's backline really solid because of how good he was between the sticks.

RB: TRENT ALEXANDER ARNOLD - He's still young, but TAA is still in this 11 because he's been the best right back in the Premier League era out of the two clubs. He creates a lot of chances from open play and from set pieces plus he also has an eye for goal. He could even play in midfield.

CB: VIRGIL VAN DIJK - Van Dijk is in because he's made a huge difference to Liverpool since he's been at the club. He's made them better defensively since he's been there and he's had a positive effect on the players around him by being a leader and role model in the side.

CB: JAMIE CARRAGHER - Despite scoring a lot of own goals, Carragher was still a solid defender. He was a leader in the side and positioned himself well on the pitch to make a well timed block or tackle. He stepped up as the leader when Steven Gerrard wasn't in the side.

LB: ANDREW ROBERTSON - Robertson has been the best left back out of the two clubs in the Premier League era because of the amount of chances he creates in a game and how good he is at both ends of the pitch. This has made him the best left back in the league over the last three seasons and there wasn't a left back like before he joined Liverpool.

RM: MOHAMED SALAH - Salah has grown into a world class player since he's been at Liverpool which is why he makes this team. He's bagged loads of goals since he's been at the club the amount he's got has made him a Liverpool legend.

CM: STEVEN GERRARD - No way was I leaving this guy out. Gerrard was one of the best midfielders of his time because of the player he was during his time at Liverpool. He scored lots of goals and also had an eye for a pass which was a key part of his game throughout his career.

CM: LUKA MODRIC - I've put Modric in because of how good he was at Spurs. He got better each season he spent at White Hart Lane and during that time developed into one of the best midfielders in the world. He made a Spurs a better team when he was on it.

LM: GARETH BALE - There was no doubt that I was going to include Bale in this team. Bale grew into a world class player during his final years at Spurs by scoring all kinds of goals and being a nightmare for defenders to play against. This earned him a a then world record transfer to Real Madrid.

ST: HARRY KANE - Kane has grown into a top striker ever since he became a regular in the Spurs team because of the amount of goals he's scored. He's netted over 150 times since making his debut and is on course to break Alan Shearer's goal record.

ST: JERMAIN DEFOE - I've put Defoe in this team because of the amount of goals he scored for Spurs in two spells. He's probably one of the most underrated strikers in the Premier League history because he scored lots of goals and never always got the recognition he deserved. I'm quite surprised a big club didn't try and sign him.
