CURRENT COMBINED 11:
GK: ALISSON - I've put Alisson in because he's the best keeper in the league and possibly the world. He makes Liverpool more solid defensively when he's in the side by making big saves at big moments. Because of this the defenders in front of him trust him to get them out of trouble.
RB: TRENT ALEXANDER ARNOLD - TAA just had to be in because of the amount of chances he creates from full back. He's changed the role of a full back because of the chances he creates which makes him one of the best full backs in Europe.
CB: VIRGIL VAN DIJK - He may be injured, but Van Dijk still makes this team and he had to. He times his tackles to perfection and he's always calm in possession of the ball which is what you want from a centre back these days. This makes him the best centre back in Europe.
CB: HARRY MAGUIRE - I picked Maguire to partner Van Dijk because he's the second best cente back between the two clubs. He's good in the air which is what you want from a big centre back like him and he's also good on the ball by moving with it as well as being a good passer with it as well. These are what make him the player he is and has been for most of his career.
LB: ANDREW ROBERTSON - No way was I leaving the flying Scotsman out. He's the best left back in the league because he's good at both ends in being solid defensively and dangerous going forward. He creates a lot of chances for his teammates and that is what makes him the best in his position.
CDM: FABINHO - I've put Fabinho in ahead of Matic because he's a better defensive midfielder. He always looks to play the ball forward and is very athletic which is what you want from a defensive midfielder. He's had to play centre back this season, and he's been as good in that position as he has been as a midfielder.
CM: BRUNO FERNANDES - Fernandes just had to be in because of the goals he scores from midfield. He's made a big impact since he's been at United and his presence in the team makes United a better side. When he plays well, United play well.
CM: PAUL POGBA - If I picked this team on talent, I would definitely pick Pogba over Henderson because he has more potential. He's got an excellent range of pass and when he is at it, he's very good because of the talent he is.
RW: MOHAMED SALAH - Salah just had to be in because he is the best right sided attack out of the two clubs. He's scored a lot of goals since he's been at Liverpool and has established himself as one of the best attacking players in the world.
LW: SADIO MANE - Mane just had to be in because he's the best left sided attacker out of the two clubs. He's been a key player for Liverpool the moment he walked through the door and since then has become one of the best attacking players in Europe. His pace and the way he presses opponents makes him an important player for the reds.
ST: EDINSON CAVANI - I've put Cavani in because he's a goal scorer and is one of the best strikers in Europe. He's scored any kind of goal throughout his career and has carried on doing that since he's been at United. His movement in the box makes him one of the deadliest strikers around.
ALL TIME COMBINED 11:
GK: PETER SCHMEICHEL - I've put Schmeichel in because he is in my opinion the best Premier League goalkeeper of all time. He made countless top class saves to keep United in games and that is what made him one of the best in his position.
RB: GARY NEVILLE - Neville just had to be in the team because he's the best right back in Premier League history. He was always well positioned in defensive situations and was a leader on the pitch for many years.
CB: VIRGIL VAN DIJK - I've put Van Dijk in over Vidic because Van Dijk was considered as the best defender in the world. He always times his tackles well, he's always well positioned in one v one situations and he's calm in possession of the ball. This is what makes him the defender he know him as today.
CB: RIO FERDINAND - I've put Rio in because he was a big part of United's success under Ferguson. He was a rock solid defender by being well positioned in defensive situations and making well timed tackles. He was also good on the ball a leader on the pitch which United haven't had for several years.
LB: PATRICE EVRA - Evra is in because he's the best left back out of the two clubs from the Premier League era. He was a solid defender by making well timed tackles and being well positioned in defensive situations plus he was a threat going forward when he needed to be like any other full back.
RM: MOHAMED SALAH - I've put Salah in ahead of Ronaldo because he's scored more Premier League goals for Liverpool than Ronaldo did when he was at United. Salah has scored double figures in every season he's spent at Anfield and the amount he's got in every season has made him one of the best players in the world.
CM: STEVEN GERRARD - I was never leaving Gerrard out of this team because he could pick out any kind of pass and score from anywhere on the pitch. This is what made him one of the best midfielders in the Premier League era because of his athleticism and drive to be successful.
CM: PAUL SCHOLES - Scholes just had to be in the team because he was a wizard on the ball by playing any kind of pass and beating players with his amazing dribbling ability. This is why he's been praised by the best players in the world like Zindane and Xavi.
LM: RYAN GIGGS - Giggs was influential on the pitch throughout his career which is why he's in this team. He had the drive and determination to be successful right into his late thirties and carried on scoring important goals for United even as he got older.
ST: WAYNE ROONEY - Rooney was arguably one of the best strikers in Europe when at his best because he could score any kind of goal and was a nightmare for any defender. He was a key player at United throughout his time at Old Trafford.
ST: MICHAEL OWEN - I've put Owen in this team because of the player he was at Liverpool. During his time at Anfield, Owen was one of the best strikers in Europe because he scored lots of goals and was a handful for any defence. He was the last brit to win the Ballon D'or back in 2001.
