Key Points of the Weekend

Burnley didn't have enough experience

Burnley's relegation was sealed at the weekend following their 2-1 defeat at Spurs and one of the main reasons behind their relegation was their lack of experience.

Their wasn't enough of both Premier League experience and general experience as they had a very young squad with the majority of their players being under the age of 25. In order to stay in the Premier League, you need to have more experienced players in your squad and Burnley didn't have that. Especially players who were experienced in the Premier League.

I understand that Vincent Kompany is trying to build something at the football club and why he has a lot of faith in the young players at his disposal. But he didn't have enough experienced players in his squad and that was what cost the Clarets their Premier League status.

Wissa and Mbeumo link up shows promising sign for Brentford

Brentford are more than likely going to lose Ivan Toney in the summer and his departure will pave the way for someone else to step in his place. Both Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo will be keen to step up and both them link up for the goals they scored against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Their link up play on the day will be an encouraging sign for the Bees heading into next season and especially with Toney potentially on his way out. The pair of them have played a number of games together but haven't linked up a lot. They showed that they can play together against Bournemouth as they both assisted each other for the goals they scored and they'll look to keep it up next season.

I do think that Brentford will look to sign a striker in the summer because of Toney potentially leaving. But Wissa and Mbeumo linking up could be a sign that they may not need to by a replacement for Toney.

Saliba and Gabriel - Arsenal's best centre back pairing since Campbell and Toure

Arsenal's defence has been the catalyst behind their title challenge this season as they've had the best defence in the league this season. The centre back partnership between William Saliba and Gabriel has been crucial to that and against Man United on Sunday, they both put in another defensive masterclass. Both were there when the Gunners needed them and especially Saliba who was the best player on the field.

The Gunners haven't had a solid centre back partnership since the days of Sol Campbell and Kolo Toure, who were the centre backs during the Invincibles season. Their defence was a problem for many years after that because of them not having a settled or solid centre back partnership.

In Saliba and Gabriel, they finally have a solid centre back partnership and it's playing a key role in their title challenge. Every title challenging team needs to have a solid centre back pairing in order to compete for the title and Arsenal have that in Saliba and Gabriel.
