Key Points of the Weekend

Brentford are in a relegation battle and are missing key players

I do think Brentford will have enough to stay up, but for the time being they're in a relegation battle as they're in poor form and only four points above the relegation zone.

It's definitely been a tough season for the bees and one of the reasons why is because they're missing key players through injury. Bryan Mbeumo has been a massive miss as they've missed his energy and pace in attack which has struggled during his absence. He made his return in the defeat at Burnley on Saturday as a substitute and his return is massive welcome boost for Thomas Frank.

Both Ben Mee and Rico Henry are out for the rest of the season and have been badly missed in defence as the Bees haven't looked as solid. Henry has arguably been the bigger loss as he's been one of Brentford's most consistent performers since they've been in the Premier League. His attacking endeavour defence nous have been sorely missed by the Bees since he picked up that ACL injury.

The Bees have also been without Christian Norgaard and Ethan Pinnock recently and both them should be returning soon. Both like the others have been missed and are players that they need to get back ASAP if they're to avoid the drop.

Muniz stepping up as Fulham's main man

I asked over a month ago if Rodrigo Muniz was becoming Fulham's replacement for Aleksandar Mitrovic as he was beginning to find some form. I'd now say he's becoming their main man as he's kept up that good form and is now the Cottagers' top goal scorer with 7.

Marco Silva's side were lacking a clinical no.9 after MItrovic left for Saudi side Al Hilal in the summer for the majority of the first half of the campaign. Muniz didn't play much during that time as he wasn't really fancied before picking up a knee injury in November.

Since he's returned from that injury, he's been in great goal scoring form and is now a guaranteed starter. Raul Jimenez being out injured has given him the chance to step up and he's more than taken it with the form he's been in. Jimenez may have returned against Spurs on Saturday, but Muniz will still keep his place because of the form he's been in since he forced his way into the team.
