Should Danny Ings start more games for West Ham?
Danny Ings hasn't had a lot of game time since he joined West Ham last January and this season has only made two starts. He made a huge impact when he came off the bench as he looked lively throughout his time on the pitch and scored the goal that rescued the point for the Hammers. After his impressive cameo off the bench, should he start more games for West Ham?
I'm quite surprised he hasn't had many starts in a Hammers shirt and especially after netting twice on his full debut last season in a 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest. He's a proven goal scorer at Premier League level and if you're that kind of player, you deserve to start more games.
When fellow striker Michail Antonio was out injured during January, I thought Danny Ings would get more opportunities in Antonio's absence. But David Moyes instead opted for Jarrod Bowen who did a decent job up there in all fairness.
He reminded everyone of his abilities against Burnley by being lively and offering a goal threat whenever he was in the box. If he can continue to work hard in training and put in impressive performances on the pitch, he'll hopefully earn more starts.
Liverpool should've had second penalty
One of the talking points from the Liverpool-Man City game was undoubtedly the incident towards the end where Jeremy Doku appeared to kick Alexis Mac Allister in chest inside the penalty area. Doku was going for the ball and he did get a slight touch on it, but he did catch Mac Allister in the chest. My view on this is that it should've been given as a penalty to Liverpool.
Doku may have got slight touch on the ball when he was trying to win it but he still caught Mac Allister in the chest and when a player makes that sort of challenge, a foul must be given. This is because Doku's challenge was dangerous and as he caught Mac Allister with a high foot, a penalty should've been given.
