Is Son back to his best?
Heung Min Son was a shadow of his former self for the majority of last season as he struggled to hit the heights he hit in previous seasons. He got off the mark at the weekend with a hat trick in their 5-2 win at Burnley where he looked more like the player we know he is and has been for the last few years. But is he back to his best?
He's playing in a Spurs side that is more attacking unlike the last few seasons which will give him more freedom to express himself on the pitch. Spurs not playing on the front foot last season had a massive impact on his performances as he wasn't able to perform at his best consistently enough. Now Spurs are playing a more attacking style, all the attacking players are playing with a freedom and especially Son.
His hat trick will certainly give him a lot of confidence which was something he lacked at times last season. Especially in his performances. If he can repeat his performance against Burnley on a regular basis, the old Son could well be back. He could even be Spurs' new talisman.
Have Forest turned corner away from home?
Nottingham Forest had the worst away record in the league last season winning just once in the entire campaign. They've already equalled that record this season with their win at Chelsea on Saturday ending their 12 winless run away from home. So are they turning a corner away from home?
Their win over Chelsea will definitely give them confidence overall. But it will especially give them confidence when playing away from home as it will give them the belief that they can win games on the road. If they can repeat their performance at home on the road this season, Forest could have a decent season.
Can Odsonne Edouard finally be the goal scorer Crystal Palace have lacked?
One thing that Crystal Palace have lacked over the last few seasons is a centre forward who can score goals on a consistent basis. Odsonne Edouard was meant to be that player when he arrived from Celtic two years ago having scored many for the Scottish giants during his four year stay there. But he's only netted 11 times across the last two seasons combined.
He's made a decent start to this campaign scoring 3 times from the opening four games including a double in the Eagles' win over Wolves on Sunday. So can he finally be the goal scorer that Palace have been crying out for?
Both of his goals against Wolves were scored by him being in the middle of the pitch and in the six yard box. He got on the end of a Tyrick Mitchell cross to poke home the first and linked up with Jean Philippe Mateta before netting his second.
His double against Wolves will surely give him a lot of confidence as every striker needs confidence in order to score more goals. But whether he will follow it up remains to be seen as he hasn't been able to score regularly enough since joining the Eagles in 2021. If he can get into the positions he found against Wolves and get service from his teammates, he could be the player that Palace have been crying out for in a goal scoring centre forward.
