Is Cole Palmer becoming Chelsea's talisman?

It's been a very inconsistent season from Chelsea so far but one of the very few players that has stood out is Cole Palmer. He's impressed almost every time he's played for the blues this season and had another good game against Sheffield United on Saturday. Is he becoming Chelsea's new talisman?

Against Sheffield United, Palmer had a role in both goals as he scored the first himself before assisting Nicolas Jackson for the second. He was a threat alll game for the blues as he was always looking to create something whenever he approached the opposition box. Especially when he got moved into the no.10 position in the second half.

Danny Murphy said on Match of the Day on Saturday that he's Chelsea best player, which I felt was a big statement. But if he can keep up the form he's in for the rest of the season and continue to grow as a player, he could wel be Chelsea's main man.

Are Man City missing De Bruyne?

Man City are in a blip at the moment in terms of their form wth just one win from their last five games. The kind of form we're not used to seeing from them. They have had players out injured during that time with one of them being the influential Kevin De Bruyne. Are City missing their Belgian maestro?

City have coped well without De Bruyne in the past as Bernardo Silva has often stepped up in his absence. But recently, City haven't had the control of games they usually have and one player who is capable of controlling a game in midfield is Kevin De Bruyne.

De Bruyne can slow the pace of a game down and his ability to do that gives City more control in games. They haven't been in control of games recently and epsecially the ones against Chelsea and Spurs which were both rushed. Both teams wanted to attack and there was no element of control in either game.

City will have De Bruyne back very soon and he could feasture in their first league game after Christmas against Everton. It will take time for him to get up to speed after being out for so long, but the impact he makes on his return could tells us how much City have missed him.

Arsenal a better team than last season

Arsenal reclaimed top spot yesterday with their 2-0 win over Brighton which was a controlled display from them. They're more in control of games this season compared to last season where they would come springing out the blocks straightaway. This is why I think they're a better team than they were last season.

The main reason why I think they're a better team this season is because of Declan Rice who has made them a lot tighter at the back. The Gunners have the joint best defence in the league this season with Liverpool and Rice has been the main reason why due to his energy and tenacity. He wins the ball back on a numbner of occasions during games and his ability to do that makes Arsenal a solid outfit defensively.

Because of them being more defensively secure and having more control of games, the Gunners arguably have a better chance of winning the title this season.
