GK: EDERSON (MAN CITY) - City's sweeper keeper was solid throughout January as he kept a clean sheet in every game he played. He did have a solid defence in front of him, but he still made some important saves when his team needed him to.
RB: JOAO CANCELO (MAN CITY) - Cancelo kept Kyle Walker out of the starting line up during January by being solid defensively and being a threat going forward when he needed to be. He scored and assisted once and is set to remain in the team due to the form he's in.
CB: RUBEN DIAS (MAN CITY) - Dias has made a huge difference for City defensively this season and showed why throughout January. He's been solid at the back all month by making vital interventions and he has been the leader they lacked last season following the departure of Vincent Kompany.
CB: ROB HOLDING (ARSENAL) - Holding was solid at the back for Arsenal throughout January as he helped the Gunners claim 4 clean sheets. He's stepping up as an important player in that back line and has been key in Arsenal's turnaround.
LB: LUKE SHAW (MAN UNITED) - Shaw has turned his Man United career around in January by being solid defensively and a threat going forward. He did both of them excellently throughout the month and if he keeps it up, he could find himself back in Gareth Southgate's plans.
RM: BUKAYO SAKA (ARSENAL) - Saka just had to be in the team because was to key to Arsenal's improvement during January. He netted 3 goals and has become one of the first names on Mikel Arteta's team sheet at just 19 years old.
CM: JAMES MADDISON (LEICESTER) - Maddison has had another outstanding month by registering 3 goals and 1 assist during January. His form has put him back in contention for an England recall and is getting better and better week by week.
CM: ILKAY GUNDOGAN (MAN CITY) - Gundogan has stepped up for City this month by scoring five goals in six games throughout January. He's become a key player for them over the last few games and is beginning to get the recognition he deserves.
LM: HARVEY BARNES (LEICESTER) - Barnes has continued his impressive season this month by scoring and assisting 2 goals each. He's been a key player for Leicester this season has improved as a player as the season has progressed by both creating and scoring goals.
ST: ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE (ARSENAL) - Lacazette picked his form up in January by scoring 3 goals to help Arsenal push themselves up the table. He's been a key player for them during their revival and he stepped up for them when he needed to by scoring some important goals.
ST: HARRY KANE (TOTTENHAM) - He may have got injured at the end of the month, but Kane still deserves a place in this team after scoring 3 goals in 4 games during January. Without him Spurs might not have picked up the results they did because of the goals he scored.
