FA Cup: Quarter Final Draw Verdict

The draw for the FA Cup Quarter Finals was made yesterday with some very interesting ties to look forward to.

Championship Bournemouth who knocked out Burnley in the last round have a South Coast Derby to look forward as they take on another Premier League in Southampton. Bournemouth's relegation from the Premier League was all but sealed the last time they met Southampton as the Saints ran out 2-0 winners in the penultimate game of last season. After beating Burnley in the last round, the Cherries may give themselves a chance of knocking out another Premier League team in Southampton.

The two big clashes of the round are surely Leicester taking on Man United and Everton taking on Man City. Leicester and Everton both have a good opportunity to show their FA Cup credentials in taking on two the favourites for the competition because if they both win their respective ties, it could give them the confidence to go all the way and win the competition itself. If they both beat their opponents, they'll believe that they can beat anyone. They're both tough ties for City and United because Everton are 7th in the Premier League and have a successful manager in Carlo Ancelotti and Leicester are 3rd with a strong chance f qualifying for next seasons Champions League. They'll hopefully be some good and close ties.

Last seasons finalists Chelsea will be taking on Premier League strugglers Sheffield United after their 1-0 win over Barnsley last night. This is a tie that Chelsea can definitely win because they're taking on a side who are struggling in the league and they themselves should have enough to win the tie itself because of the quality they have in their squad. Out of all the so called big sides left in the competition, Chelsea are the favourites to progress to the next round because they have a more winnable tie.

FULL QUARTER FINAL DRAW:

Bournemouth v Southampton

Chelsea v Sheffield United

Everton v Man City

Leicester v Man United
