The draw for the FA Cup Quarter Finals was made yesterday and there some interesting ties to look forward to next month.
Let's see what I make of the draw.
The tie of the round is undoubtedly Man United taking on Liverpool at Old Trafford because of the history of the fixture and the size of both clubs. This one should hopefully be a good game because of these very reasons..
We could have two upsets coming from Championship sides with Coventry facing Wolves and Leicester taking on Chelsea - the latter being a rematch of the 2021 final. Leicester knocking out Chelsea would arguably be the bigger upset because of Chelsea being a massive club compared to the Foxes. But the Foxes could still fancy themselves of causing one as they're flying high in the Championship and Chelsea of course are having a tough season in the league.
The other tie is another all Premier League clash between Man City and Newcastle which should be a good game as they're both attack minded teams. They played out an entertaining contest at St James' Park in January and hopefully we'll get another one when the two sides meet in the FA Cup.
