WEDNESDAY:
NOTTINGHAM FOREST V BRISTOL CITY
Nottingham Forest had a number of good chances in the reverse fixture but weren't able to take them. The same can be said about Bristol City who also had some great opportunities. But they weren't able to take them.
Forest are beginning to look over their shoulder in the Premier League with Nuno's side just two points above the relegation zone. A win in this cup tie would certainly give them some confidence to take into their relegation battle like it would for any side struggling.
I thought Bristol City would beat Forest in the reverse fixture at Ashton Gate because they beat West Ham in the 3rd Round. Their performance was spirited, but they missed some decent chances and ended the game with no shots on target.
I definitely think that this one will be close just like it was at Ashton Gate, but as Forest are a strong team at home, I think they'll just edge this one.
PREDICTION: 1-0
ASTON VILLA V CHELSEA
Both teams had a number of good chances in the reverse fixture but somehow ended up cancelling each other out. Surely they'll be more clinical in this one.
Aston Villa's last home game saw their long unbeaten run at home come to an end at the hands of Newcastle where they were not their usual selves.
They were back at it against Sheffield United on Saturday and especially in the first half which was a walk in the park as they went into half time 4-0 up.
Chelsea were poor and sloppy against Wolves on Sunday and the defending for the goals they conceded was just terrible. That defeat made me ask myself if Chelsea's days as one of the top clubs in England are coming to an end.
Mauricio Pochettino will demand a reaction from his team in this one and he needs one because he's a manager under pressure. Especially with some of the fans beginning to turn on him.
I think that pressure could increase here as I think Villa will be the team that book their place in the next round. Especially as they're at home where they've been strong all season.
PREDICTION: 2-0
