THURSDAY:
BOURNEMOUTH V SWANSEA
Bournemouth had to come from 2-0 down to beat QPR in the last round and will no doubt hope that this one will be more straightforward.
Andoni Iraola will probably make a number of changes for this one with it being a cup tie against a lower league opposition. But I think he'll still want to field a strong team as he'll want his side to go far in this competition.
Swansea have spent the majority of the season in the lower half of the Championship and there hasn't really been much improvement since Luke Williams took over from Michael Duff.
Winning this cup tie could give them the confidence to kick their season into life and help them push up the Championship as that is what winning a cup tie can do for a club like Swansea.
Bournemouth will make changes here, but I think they'll have more than enough to win this tie. Especially as they're at home.
PREDICTION: 3-0
FRIDAY:
BRISTOL CITY V NOTTINGHAM FOREST
Bristol City knocked out West Ham in the last round and will more than fancy their chances of causing another upset here against Forest.
Nottingham Forest were given a good game by Blackpool in the last round where they needed extra time to beat them after losing a two goal lead.
Forest have had their struggles on the road both this season and last season and will be expecting another tough game here.
Liam Manning's side will definitely look to play the same way they played against West Ham in the 3rd Round and I can see that working for them here.
PREDICTION: 1-0
CHELSEA V ASTON VILLA
Chelsea are already in a cup final this season as they thrashed Middlesbrough 6-1 in midweek to reach the Carabao Cup final. Their performance against Boro was arguably their best one of the season so far as it was a real team performance. The kind they haven't produced for a while.
Mauricio Pochettino will want his side to far in this competition as well and another cup run could help his side kick start their season, which has been rather frustrating.
Aston Villa will also look to go far in this competition as they're having a fantastic season in the Premier League and will want a good cup run alongside that.
Villa haven't been as good away as they have been at home this season, but they did beat Chelsea in this fixture back in September and I think they'll do the same here.
PREDICTION: 0-1
TOTTENHAM V MAN CITY
Spurs have a 100% record when facing City at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium and they gave the champions a good game when the two sides met at the Etihad last month.
Ange Postecoglou's side are still missing several players through injury and suspension, but they're still going to play the same way they have done all season which is on the front foot and at a high intensity.
Man City have Kevin De Bruyne back and he changed the game for them against Newcastle a couple of weeks ago where he showed everyone what City have been missing during his absence.
I think they'll look to bring off the bench again for this one as the intensity that Spurs play at might be too much for him, especially as he's just returned from a long lay off.
I might've gone for a Spurs win had Son been available because Spurs are a better team when he's in it. But as he's not, I don't see Spurs winning here.
They'll give City a good game like they did at the Etihad before Christmas, but I think De Bruyne will come off the bench and salvage a draw for City.
PREDICTION: 2-2
SATURDAY:
EVERTON V LUTON
Everton have again been charged for another financial breach by the Premier League, but I don't see that fazing them at all just like the first one didn't. All they did was get their heads down and get good results on the pitch and I think they'll do the same again.
The two or three years have been tough for Everton fans and a good cup run will surely bring them some much needed positivity. Sean Dyche will be looking to take his side far in this competition so it can boost their chances of Premier League survival.
Luton will also look to use this competition as a momentum builder in their battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League which remains their no.1 priority.
Rob Edwards' side beat the Toffees at Goodison back in September which was their first Premier League win of the season. Getting another one here will be more challenging as Everton have improved a lot since then.
I think Sean Dyche's team will get them back here and book their place in the next round.
PREDICTION: 1-0
SHEFFIELD UNITED V BRIGHTON
Sheffield United put in an encouraging display against West Ham last weekend and Chris Wilder will want his side to build on that performance.
Staying in the Premier League looks very unlikely for the Blades and a good cup run is arguably the only thing that can give their fans something to smile about this season. It could also give them confidence to take with them into their league campaign.
Brighton have had a challenging season this season but it could be their best one yet. They're having good first campaign in Europe, they're still in contention for a place in Europe for next season and could still go far in the FA Cup.
Roberto De Zerbi lead his side to the semi finals last season and I think he could take his side on another cup run this season.
I can see them play a strong team here despite the odd few changes and I think they'll have too much for the Blades.
PREDICTION: 0-3
FULHAM V NEWCASTLE
Fulham went out of the Carabao Cup to Liverpool in midweek and they now have the chance to go on another cup run in this competition.
They reached the Quarter Finals in this competition last season and Marco Silva will want to take his side to a similar stage this season. Especially as they have nothing to play for in the league.
Newcastle could do with a cup run as it could help them kickstart their faltering season and give them some much needed confidence.
The Magpies have been poor on the road this season but they did win away in the last round against Sunderland.
Eddie Howe's side do still have a lot of players out injured, but I think they could edge this one as they have players who can win them games.
PREDICTION: 1-2
SUNDAY:
WEST BROM V WOLVES
West Brom have a play off spot in the Championship in their sights this season with the Baggies currently 5th in the table.
They're going to have a right good go at Wolves here as they're a side who like to play on the front foot under Carlos Corberan, who previously worked under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds.
Wolves don't have a good record in Black Country Derbies and this cup tie could give them the chance to put that right.
Premier League sides field weakened teams when facing teams from a lower league but I don't see that being the case with Wolves in this one only because it's a local derby.
Gary O'Neil's side will expect a tough game here as West Brom are a side who play with a lot of energy and on the front foot. But I think they'll have enough Premier League quality to see themselves through to the next round.
PREDICTION: 0-2
LIVERPOOL V NORWICH
Liverpool are already in a cup final this season after booking their place in the Carabao Cup final with their result against Fulham in midweek. They could still go for a quadruple this season but I don't really see that happening.
They do however have a very strong squad which has been used very well by Jurgen Klopp this season. The attacking players are stepping up in Salah's absence and the midfielders are also making a difference when given an opportunity.
Norwich have had an up and down season in the Championship this season but are still in the hunt for the play offs with David Wagner's side just two points outside it.
Anfield hasn't been an enjoyable place to go to for the Canaries in recent times and I don't see this one going any better for them.
Liverpool will make changes for this game with Chelsea on Wednesday on their mind, but with the strong squad they have, I can see them win this one rather comfortably.
PREDICTION: 3-0
NEWPORT V MAN UNITED
Newport have been known for causing FA Cup upsets in the past with their most notable one coming against Leicester back in 2019.
This one would top that if they were to pull it off here and you never know, they might pull it off with United not exactly firing.
You don't know which Man United will show up here due to how inconsistent they've been all season. I don't see them playing well here as the pitch surface could impact their performance. Lower league pitches do that when Premier League clubs come to town.
I still think United will win here though as they've got more than enough quality. But I don't see their performance being pretty.
PREDICTION: 0-2
