FA Cup 4th Round Draw Verdict

The FA Cup 4th Round draw was made earlier this evening and there are some interesting ties to look forward to later this month.

This is what I think of the draw.

Maidstone who knocked out League 1 Stevenage in the last round, have the chance to cause another upset and they'll be facing Championship side Ipswich. The Yellows will fancy themselves to cause another upset, but this one could be more challenging as Ipswich are flying in the Championship. Another non-league club in Eastleigh could also have the chance to cause an upset as they could face Wigan or Man United, if they win their replay against Newport.

League 2 Wrexham have the chance to cause another upset as they'll be facing Championship Blackburn. The Hollywood owned club gave Sheffield United a good game at this stage of the competition last season and they'll no doubt be looking to do the same again.

We could have three shocks coming from League 1 sides if they win their respective replays as they could be up against Premier League opposition. Bristol Rovers could cause the biggest shocks of the round as they could face Liverpool at Anfield, if they win their replay against Norwich. Blackpool could face either West Ham or Bristol City if they win their replay against Nottingham Forest whilst Bolton, could face either Crystal Palace or Everton if they win their replay against Luton.

We could have two shocks coming from Championship sides with West Brom facing either Brentford or Wolves and Swansea taking on Bournemouth.

We also have four all-Premier League ties to look forward including Chelsea taking on in-form Aston Villa, Sheffield United facing Brighton and Fulham taking on Newcastle. The standout game of the round is without a doubt Tottenham facing holders Man City which is the fourth all-Premier League tie. That should be a great game to watch.
