The draw for the FA Cup 4th Round was made earlier this evening with some interesting ties to look forward to.
Chorley who knocked out Derby in Round 3 have a chance of causing yet another upset as they take on Premier League Wolves. The National League North side knocked out 2013 winners Wigan in Round 1 and League 1 Peterborough in Round 2 before beating a weakened Derby on Saturday. They' will be looking forward to this game without a shadow of a doubt because they'll be up against a very good Premier League side and after knocking out Derby in the last round, could they cause yet another upset and knock out Wolves?
League 2 Cheltenham have the toughest tie of the next round as they'll be playing Premier League Man City whilst Crawley who beat Premier League Leeds in Round 3 will be looking to cause another upset as they take on Championship Bournemouth away from home. Could they do it again?
After knocking out West Brom in the 3rd Round, League 1 Blackpool will be hoping to cause yet another cup upset as they take on another Premier League side in Brighton who avoided a cup upset themselves in beating Newport on penalties. Plymouth will be hoping to cause an upset as they take on Premier League strugglers Sheffield United plus Doncaster could also cause an upset if West Ham beat Stockport tonight.
We could have some upsets from Championship sides in Luton, Sheffield Wednesday, Brentford and Wycombe. Luton take on last season's finalists Chelsea at Stamford Bridge which would be a massive shock if the Hatters were to pull it off. Sheffield Wednesday travel to Everton which could be a close game despite the owls struggling this season and Brentford take on Leicester which is one of the ties of the round because both sides play good football and that could make it a really close game. Wycombe take on Jose Mourinho's Tottenham which could also be a massive upset if Gareth Ainsworth boys were to pull it off. Wycombe gave Spurs a good game when they met at this stage of the competition back in 2017 and will be looking to do so again.
The tie of the round surely comes between two Premier League sides as Man United take on Liverpool at Old Trafford. Cup holders Arsenal will look to continue their FA Cup defence by beating Southampton or Shrewsbury with the two sides yet to play due to the tie being postponed due to a COVID outbreak at Shrewsbury.
