Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament

GK: JORDAN PICKFORD (ENGLAND) - Pickford was a solid presence between the sticks right throughout the tournament as England went all the way to the final. He made a number of important saves to keep England in games including the one he made in the final, and he once again showed why he's England's no.1.

RB: DANI CARVAJAL (SPAIN) - He might've been sent off against Germany in the Quarter Finals, but in the other games he played in, Carvajal was solid. He was effective at both ends of the pitch as Spain went all the way and his performances defensively were to key to Spain having such a tight defence.

CB: WILLIAM SALIBA (FRANCE) - France had a solid defence right throughout the tournament and Saliba was one of the reasons why. He made many crucial interventions when his team needed him and his performances in the backline were crucial to France reaching the semi finals. He's surely now one of the best defenders in Europe.

CB: MARC GUEHI (ENGLAND) - Guehi was arguably England's best player at this tournament as he looked solid in pretty much every game he played in. He stepped up superbly in the absence of Harry Maguire and he is surely now a guaranteed starter.

LB: MARC CUCURELLA (SPAIN) - Cucurella was excellent in both departments all tournament as Spain went all the way. He had many doubters coming into the tournament and he only went on to silence them with his performances.

CDM: RODRI (SPAIN) - Rodri was named player of the tournament and I can understand why. His presence in front of the back four and ability to control a game from midfield were crucial to Spain going all the way and some people are already putting him down as a Ballon D'or contender.

CM: FABIAN RUIZ (SPAIN) - Ruiz was one of Spain's standout players at this tournament by putting in some strong displays in the midfield and popping up with some crucial contributions. He registered 2 goals and 2 assists as Spain went all the way and all of them were crucial.

CM: TONI KROOS (GERMANY) - Kroos was the player he's been right throughout his career at this tournament by dictating play in the midfield with his passing. His ability to that was key to Germany reaching the Quarter Finals and I'm very surprised that he's decided to retire. I think he could go on for at least another couple of years based on how he's played at this tournament.

RW: LAMINE YAMAL (SPAIN) - This guy just had to be in. Yamal was by far the breakout start of this tournament as he registered 4 assists and got fans off their seat with his pace and ability to beat players. He might only be 17, but he already looks like a world star in the making.

LW: JAMAL MUSIALA (GERMANY) - Musiala was Germany's main man at this tournament as won a share of the golden boot with 3 goals and impressed whenever he was on the pitch. He's going to be a massive player for Germany in the years to come.

ST: CODY GAKPO (HOLLAND) - Hardly any centre forwards stood out at this tournament but if I was to have someone fill this spot in my team, it would be Gakpo. He won a share of the golden boot with 3 goals as Holland reached the semi finals and was always a threat whenever he was in the opposition half. Liverpool fans will be hoping to see this version of him next season.
