Euro 2024 kicks off in Germany this week and it's set to be a great tournament. The best players in the world will be looking to light up the stage once again whilst new and young players will be looking to make their mark.
In this preview, I've done a little fact file on each team including how far I think they'll go, their strongest line ups and I think their most important player will be.
GROUP A
GERMANY
MANAGER: Julian Nagelsmann
FIFA RANKING: 16
EURO APPEARANCES: 13
BEST EURO FINISH: Winners x3 - 1972, 1980 and 1996
Germany used to be among the favourites going into every major tournament. But now that is not the case as they're not the team they were and have been disappointing in recent tournaments. Having home advantage at this tournament will give them a chance as they'll be familiar with the surroundings and have the home crowd on their side. They come into this tournament in decent form and that alongside home advantage will help massively.
KEY PLAYER: Jamal Musiala
Position: Midfielder
Club: Bayern Munich
Musiala has been one of the best young players in Europe over the last few seasons and this could be the tournament where he really announces himself. He's set to be a key player for Germany in the future as they look to return to the heights they once hit.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Florian Wirtz
Position: Winger
Club: Bayer Leverkusen
Wirtz comes into this tournament off the back of an amazing season with Bayer Leverkusen where he played a crucial role in their title win. He's another player who is set to be a key player in the future as he's 21 years of age and with a bright future ahead of him.
PREDICTION: Quarter Finals
Having home advantage will help, but they're not the same they used to be and haven't been for years. They should definitely win the group, but I don't see them going very far.
SCOTLAND
MANAGER: Steve Clarke
FIFA RANKING: 39
EURO APPEARANCES: 3
BEST EURO FINISH: Group Stage x3 - 1992, 1996 and 2020
Scotland are back at another European Championships and it was more straightforward this season as they qualified more comfortably as they didn't need to go through the play offs. They're arguably a better team than the one that qualified for the last Euro's as they're more together as a team. Something they've built on over the last few years.
KEY PLAYER: John McGinn
Position: Midfielder
Club: Aston Villa
McGinn has improved a lot as a player over the past year or so and he was one of Scotland's main men in qualifying. His energy in the middle of park was key to the Scots qualifying and they'll need it if they're to get out the group.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Scott McTominay
Position: Midfielder
Club: Man United
McTominay was Scotland's top goal scorer during qualifying with 7 goals and all of them were crucial to the Scots making this tournament. He's grown into a key player for the side in recent years and they'll need him to pop up with some crucial goals once again if they're to make it out the group.
PREDICTION: Group Stage
They've improved a lot as a team in recent years, but they haven't got the quality that most of the other teams have. Because of this I think they'll head home early.
HUNGARY
MANAGER: Marco Rossi
FIFA RANKING: 26
EURO APPEARANCES: 4
BEST EURO FINISH: 3rd Place - 1964
This will be Hungary's third consecutive appearance at the Euros after going several years without qualifying for a major tournament. They're a side who are never fancied at the start of a tournament but they go on and fare better than most people thought they would. They're not a side who are blessed with stars, but they can be a tough side to play against as England found out in the Nations League two years ago.
KEY PLAYER: DOMINIK SZOBOSZLAI
Position: Midfielder
Club: Liverpool
Szoboszlai is Hungary's highest profile player and their hopes in this tournament will very much rest of him. He's the captain of the side at the age of just 23 and has the ability to come up with any moment of quality when his team need it from him.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Adam Nagy
Position: Midfielder
Club: Spezia
Nagy is an all-round action midfielder in that he loves to go in for tackles and he can also carry the ball up the pitch. He's got a lot of energy and the Hungarian's will need it if they're to make it out the group.
SWITZERLAND
MANAGER: Murat Yakin
FIFA RANKING: 19
EURO APPEARANCES: 5
BEST EURO FINISH: Quarter Finals - 2020
Switzerland are a side who always qualify for major tournaments and make it out their group, but never go far. They did however reach the Quarter Finals last time and beat France on penalties along the way. They would love to repeat those exploits this summer and especially as they have an experienced squad. But going as far as they did will be tough.
KEY PLAYER: Xherdan Shaqiri
Position: Winger
Club: Chicago Fire
He might be getting on a bit, but Shaqiri still remains the Swiss' go-to player. He still comes up with those moments of quality when his team need it and the Swiss' hopes will once again rest on him.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Manuel Akanji
Position: Centre Back
Club: Man City
Akanji has been one of the best defenders in the Premier League over the last couple of seasons during which he has played a key role in Man City's success. He always times his challenges well and is a threat in both boxes as he has popped up with some crucial goals from set plays.
PREDICTION: Last 16
They're that team who always qualify and always make it out the group at every major tournament. But they never go far and I can see that being repeated here.
GROUP B
SPAIN
MANAGER: Luis de la Fuente
FIFA RANKING: 8
EURO APPEARANCES: 11
BEST EURO FINISH: Winners x3 - 1964, 2008 and 2012
Spain at recent tournaments have been a side who have a lot of possession but never make the most of it. They've always been a possession based side as that is their identity and whilst they're still a team in transition, they'll need to be more ruthless if they're to return to the heights they once hit.
KEY PLAYER: Rodri
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Man City
Rodri has arguably been the best defensive midfielder in the world over the last few years because of his ability to dictate play in midfield and protect the defence. He now has the chance to show that on the international stage with Sergio Busquets out of his way.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Lamine Yamal
POSITION: Winger
CLUB: Barcelona
Yamal is already looking like a quality player and he's only just 16. He's already played a lot of games for both club and country and he could be the breakout star at this tournament.
PREDICTION: Semi Finals
They're not the same team they were all those years ago, but they do have some exciting young talent in their squad. They should have enough to win the group, but I don't see them having enough quality to go all the way.
CROATIA
MANAGER: Zlatko Dalic
FIFA RANKING: 10
EURO APPEARANCES: 6
BEST EURO FINISH: Quarter Finals x2 - 1996 and 2008
The World Cup was meant to mark the end of an era for Croatia but it turned out to be the opposite as some younger players were brought into the team and did well. It will be a similar feeling heading into this tournament as it's likely to be the last one for the more experienced players including Luka Modric and Marcelo Brozovic. But like the World Cup, they have some young players in their squad who will be determined to make their mark and carry the team into the future.
KEY PLAYER: Luka Modric
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Real Madrid
He may be getting on, but Modric is still a classy footballer because of his vision and ability to ruin the show from midfield. With this set to be his final international tournament, he'll want to end his international career on a high.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Bruno Petkovic
POSITION: Striker
CLUB: Dinamo Zagreb
Petkovic scored 11 goals as Zagreb won the Croatian league last season and Croatia will need him to transfer that form onto the international stage. They've never really Mario Mandzukic since he retired and this could be the tournament where Petkovic steps up as the Croat's main goal threat.
PREDICTION: Group Stage/Last 16
They've got a lot of experience in their squad and some good young players to go alongside that. But I don't see them going very far as they're in a tough group.
ITALY
MANAGER: Luciano Spalletti
FIFA RANKING: 9
EURO APPEARANCES: 10
BEST EURO FINISH: Winners x2 - 1968 and 2020
Italy were close to becoming the first defending champions not to qualify for the Euros but luckily for them, they managed to sneak through. They'll come into this tournament as a team in transition and they've been that for a while even before they won this tournament in 2021. They might be the holders, but there are still questions marks over them.
KEY PLAYER: Gianluigi Donnarumma
POSITION: Goalkeeper
CLUB: PSG
Donnarumma was the Player of the Tournament at the last Euro's and has since gone on to establish himself as one of the best keepers in Europe. He always had big shoes to fill when replacing Gianluigi Buffon and has stepped into those shoes reasonably well since.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Mateo Retegui
POSITION: Striker
CLUB: Genoa
Italy have lacked a clinical no.9 for a number of years now and they might've finally found one in Retegui. He's scored 4 goals in 8 games for the Azzurri including a brace against Venezuela in March and if he can keep that ratio up, the Italians might have a chance.
PREDICTION: Quarter Finals
They haven't been the same team that won it three years ago and they only managed to scrape through qualifying. They should have enough to qualify from the group but I don't see them going as far.
ALBANIA
MANAGER: Sylvinho
FIFA RANKING: 66
EURO APPEARANCES: 1
BEST EURO FINISH: Group Stage - 2016
Albania will be massive underdogs in this group considering the teams they'll be up against and the quality those teams possess compared to themselves. They have been a transformed team under Sylvinho who lead them to the top of their group in qualifying which will give them confidence. But they'll be up against tougher opposition which will of course be challenging.
KEY PLAYER: Nedim Bajrami
POSITION: Winger
CLUB: Sassuolo
Bajrami might not be a winger that scores goals, but he did net some important goals during qualifying. He always poses a threat whenever he's in the opposition half and he could cause opposition defenders problems with his pace and ability to beat players.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Kristjan Asllani
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Inter Milan
Asllani can pick out any kind of pass from anywhere on the pitch mainly because of the vision he has. He also does his defensive work well as he always times his challenges well and is always in the right position to make an interception. He'll need to be on top of his game defensively because of the calibre of players he'll be facing.
PREDICTION: Group Stage
They're in a very tough group and don't have the quality that the other teams in their group have. Because of this I can see them go home early.
GROUP C
SLOVENIA
MANAGER: Matjaz Kek
FIFA RANKING: 57
EURO APPEARANCES: 1
BEST EURO FINISH: Group Stage - 2000
Slovenia are back at a major finals for the first time since the 2010 World Cup and their appearances at these finals will only be their fourth appearance at a major tournament. They'll be the main underdogs in this group but they will be a side who stay in games as they set themselves up to be tough to beat and have a top class keeper in Jan Oblak.
KEY PLAYER: Jan Oblak
POSITION: Goalkeeper
CLUB: Atletico Madrid
Oblak has been one of the best keepers in Europe for a number of years now and he finally has the chance to show it on the international stage. If Slovenia are to have any chance of getting out the group, they'll need him on top of his game.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Benjamin Sesko
POSITION: Striker
CLUB: RB Leipzig
Sesko is already a player in high demand and he'll have the chance to show why at this tournament. He netted 18 goals in all competitions for RB Leipzig last season and Slovenia will need him to repeat those exploits if they're to have any chance of making it out the group.
PREDICTION: Group Stage
They don't have any tournament experience in their squad or the quality that the other teams in their group have. Because of this I think they'll go home early.
DENMARK
MANAGER: Kasper Hjulmand
FIFA RANKING: 21
EURO APPEARANCES: 9
BEST EURO FINISH: Winners - 1992
Denmark surprised pretty much everyone at the last Euros where they went on to reach the semi finals and without their main man in Christian Eriksen - who had a cardiac arrest in the opening game. The Danes have some decent young players in their squad and they'll be helped a lot by the many experienced heads they have including Christian Eriksen and captain Kasper Schmeichel.
KEY PLAYER: Christian Eriksen
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Man United
He might not be the player he used to be, but Eriksen still has the ability to come up with a moment of quality when his team need it. He can still play those defence splitting passes like he has done all his career and his deliveries from set pieces cause any defence problems.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Rasmus Hojlund
POSITION: Striker
CLUB: Man United
Hojlund had a mixed debut season at Man United this season which wasn't at all easy for him. He's set to be a key player for the Danes in the future and his goal record can back that up. He'll be determined to keep up that goal record heading into this tournament.
PREDICTION: Last 16
They have a good squad mixed with both experienced and young players. They should have enough to get out the group but not enough to go as far as they did last time.
SERBIA
MANAGER: Dragan Stojkovic
FIFA RANKING: 33
EURO APPEARANCES: 5
BEST EURO FINISH: Runners Up - 1968
This will be Serbia's first appearance at the Euros since they gained independence in 2006 with their last appearance coming back in 2000 when they were known as Serbia and Montenegro. Some people had them down as dark horses at the World Cup and those same people could see them in that category again at these finals. They'll look dangerous on the attack because of the forward players they have who on their day, can cause problems for any defence.
KEY PLAYER: Aleksandar Mitrovic
POSITION: Striker
CLUB: Al-Hilal
Mitrovic might not have played at a high level this season, but he is still a handful for any defence because of his strength and aerial ability. His goals were key to Serbia qualifying for these finals and they will be again if they're to make it out the group.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Al-Hilal
Milinkovic-Savic is a midfield powerhouse on his day in that he loves to burst into the box and score goals as well as get back to help his team out defensively. He plays with Mitrovic al Al-Hilal and having this partnership will be key to Serbia's chances.
PREDICTION: Group Stage
They've got a lot of firepower in attack which give them a chance. But they lack quality in other areas of the midfield and because of this, I think they'll go home early.
ENGLAND
MANAGER: Gareth Southgate
FIFA RANKING: 4
EURO APPEARANCES: 10
BEST EURO FINISH: Runners Up - 2020
This is quite possibly England's best chance to win a tournament because of the experience they've got and the attacking options they've got. The squad is as strong as it ever has been and after losing the final three years ago, they'll be determined to go one better this time round. Especially with this tournament likely to be Southgate's last.
KEY PLAYER: Jude Bellingham
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Real Madrid
Bellingham comes into this tournament off the back of an incredible debut season at Real Madrid and is already looking like a world class midfielder at the age of just 20. With the abilities and potential he has, England might've have finally found a new Gazza.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Phil Foden
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Man City
Foden has been one of the most exciting young talents for a while now but he's never been able to show it in an England shirt. After an incredible season with Man City, he'll be determined to finally show people how highly rated he is.
PREDICTION: Semi Finals
They'll be among the favourites to win it and this one might be their best chance because of the recent experience they've had. But I think they'll fall short again.
GROUP D
POLAND
MANAGER: Michal Probierz
FIFA RANKING: 28
EURO APPEARANCES: 4
BEST EURO FINISH: Quarter Finals - 2016
Poland have disappointed at recent tournaments and they qualified for this one by scraping through the play offs after needing a penalty shootout to beat Wales. They've been pretty much carried by Robert Lewandowski and with their talismanic skipper heading into the latter stages of his career, other players will need to step up as he won't be able to carry his nation much longer.
KEY PLAYER: Robert Lewandowski
POSITION: Striker
CLUB: Barcelona
He might be heading towards the latter stages of his career, but Lewandowski is still one of the best marksmen in Europe. The Poles have been solely reliant on him for a number of years now and with this tournament likely to be his last with the national side, he'll be determined to end his international career on a high.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Jakub Kiwior
POSITION: Left Back
CLUB: Arsenal
Kiwior had a strong second half of the season with Arsenal last season by being excellent in both departments. He plays a slightly different role for Poland on the left of a back three, but he'll still look to contribute when they go forward as he is a usually threat whenever he bursts forward.
PREDICTION: Group Stage/Last 16
They've disappointed at recent tournaments, and this is probably because they've been reliant on one player. As they're in a tough group and their best player is now reaching the latter years of his career, it could be more of the same.
HOLLAND
MANAGER: Ronald Koeman
FIFA RANKING: 7
EURO APPEARANCES: 10
BEST EURO FINISH: Winners - 1988
Holland didn't have a comfortable qualifying campaign but they still managed to sneak through. They won't be seen as one of the favourites at this tournament and that is probably because of their lack of a goal scorer. They look strong in every other position but in attack, they're short on goals and have been for a while.
KEY PLAYER: Virgil Van Dijk
POSITION: Centre Back
CLUB: Liverpool
Van Dijk was back to his brilliant best for Liverpool this season by being his usual calm and composed self. His presence in the the Dutch backline and leadership make the Dutch a tough team to beat defensively because of the influence he has on the players around him.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Xavi Simons
POSITION: Forward
CLUB: RB Leipzig
Simons had an impressive loan spell at RB Leipzig last season and has been a bright prospect for a while now. This could be the tournament where he shines and announces himself on the international stage.
PREDICTION: Quarter Finals
They're strong in every position up until the final third. They should have enough to qualify from the group, but I don't see them going very far because of their lack of a consistent goal scorer.
AUSTRIA
MANAGER: Ralf Rangnick
FIFA RANKING: 25
EURO APPEARANCES: 3
BEST EURO FINISH: Last 16 - 2020
Austria will be the main underdogs in this group and even more so now they'll be without captain David Alaba, who is missing the tournament through injury. They already had a tough task on their hands when the draw was made and without their influential skipper, their task has been made even more challenging.
KEY PLAYER: Marcel Sabitzer
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Borussia Dortmund
Sabitzer plays in a different role for his national team as he's used out wide instead of his usual central midfield position. He has more freedom in this position as he's able to contribute more going forward and him playing this role shows how versatile he can be.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Michael Gregoritsch
POSITION: Striker
CLUB: Freiburg
Gregoritsch scored 4 goals during qualifying and all of them were crucial to Austria making this tournament. He might not have had his most clinical season with Freiburg, but he still has a decent record for his country and he'll want to keep it up at this tournament.
PREDICTION: Group Stage
They're in a very tough group and don't have the quality that the other sides in their group have. Because of this I think they'll head home early.
FRANCE
MANAGER: Didier Deschamps
FIFA RANKING: 2
EURO APPEARANCES: 10
BEST EURO FINISH: Winners x2 - 1984 and 2000
France will definitely be among the favourites to win this tournament because of the quality and strength in depth they have. Some people may have been surprised that Didier Deschamps decided to stay on as manager after the World Cup as those people were probably expecting Zinedine Zidane to take over. But Deschamps staying on was still a big plus for them because of how far they've come under him.
KEY PLAYER: Kylian Mbappe
POSITION: Forward
Club: Real Madrid
With Messi and Ronaldo now in the latter stages of their careers and Erling Haaland having not qualified with Norway, this could be the tournament where Mbappe establishes himself as the best player in the world. If he can lead France to glory, a first Ballon D'or could be his.
PLAYER TO WATCH: William Saliba
POSITION: Centre Back
CLUB: Arsenal
Saliba hasn't been fancied much by Deschamps but after another solid season for Arsenal, he'll surely be part of his manager's plans. If Deschamps decides to pick him, he'll be determined to repeat his club form on the international stage.
PREDICTION: Winners
They arguably have the strongest squad and best team on paper out of all the teams. Because of this, I think they'll go all the way.
GROUP E
BELGIUM
MANAGER: Domenico Tedesco
FIFA RANKING: 3
EURO APPEARANCES: 6
BEST EURO FINISH: Runners Up - 1980
Belgium have by far the easiest group as they'll be up against sides who they should be able to beat without too many problems. This tournament could be a start of a new era for the Red Devils as they have a new crop of young players coming through and in their squad. Some members of the golden generation are still around in Kevin De Bruyne, Jan Vertonghen and Romelu Lukaku, and having those guys around will be key because of the experience they have in major tournaments.
KEY PLAYER: Kevin De Bruyne
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Man City
De Bruyne still remains one if not the best midfielder in the world because of his vision and ability to control the flow of a game in midfield. With this potentially being his final international tournament, he'll be looking to end his international career on a high.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Jeremy Doku
POSITION: Winger
CLUB: Man City
With the golden generation era over, it's time for the next one to step up and Doku is a key part of that. He's been an exciting young talent for a number of years and with the abilities he has, he could be the next Eden Hazard as he's quick and has the ability to beat players with pace and skill.
PREDICTION: Quarter Finals
The golden generation is over, it's time for the next one to step up. They should definitely have more than enough to get out the group, but I don't see them going very far.
SLOVAKIA
MANAGER: Francesco Calzona
FIFA RANKING: 48
EURO APPEARANCES: 5
BEST EURO FINISH: Winners - 1976
Slovakia will be one of the underdogs in this group but they could still nick second spot as Belgium are likely to be the outright winners. They've got some decent players defensively including captain Milan Skriniar who is their highest profile player but going forward, they do look short on quality. Former talisman Marek Hamsik retired last year and they haven't got anyone who can replace him.
KEY PLAYER: Milan Skriniar
POSITION: Centre Back
CLUB: PSG
Skriniar is Slovakia's biggest name player because of the experience he has at the highest level for his club. He's always in the right place to make a challenge and any other intervention due to his reading of the game and his presence in the Slovakia backline makes them a tough team to beat.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Lukas Haraslin
POSITION: Winger
CLUB: Sparta Prague
Haraslin scored 12 goals for Sparta Prague last season as they won the Czech title and is likely to be the Slovak's main goal threat. He always causes problems whenever he's near the six yard box and if Slovakia are to get out the group, they'll need him to deliver as there are not many goals in their team.
PREDICTION: Group Stage
They'll be tough to beat defensively as they have some good players in their backline. But they don't have enough quality going forward and because of this, I think they'll go out early.
ROMANIA
MANAGER: Edward Iordanescu
FIFA RANKING: 46
EURO APPEARANCES: 5
BEST EURO FINISH: Quarter Finals - 2000
Romania will probably be the main underdogs in this group as the majority of their players are unknown and not of the quality of the other teams in the group. Second spot is very much up for grabs as Belgium are likely to walk the group and Romania are arguably the least likely to get it.
KEY PLAYER: Valentin Mihaila
POSITION: Winger
CLUB: Parma
Mihaila was Romania's joint top goal scorer in qualifying with 3 goals and is likely to be one of their main supply for goals once again. He always looks dangerous whenever he goes forward because of his pace and ability to beat players which causes problems for opposition defenders.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Nicolae Stanciu
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Damac
Stanciu is one of Romania's most creative players and also one of their main goal threats having been their top goal scorer with Mihaila in qualifying. He's a good carrier of the ball and he is also has a good eye for goal as he's scored a number of long range strikes throughout his career.
PREDICTION: Group Stage
They'll be the main underdogs in this group as they have very little quality in their squad. Because of this, I don't see them standing much of a chance.
UKRAINE
MANAGER: Serhiy Rebrov
FIFA RANKING: 22
EURO APPEARANCES: 3
BEST EURO FINISH: Quarter Finals - 2020
Ukraine have been through a lot as a country over the last couple of years and this tournament will bring a much needed smile to the faces of their people. The players will want to play for their people and do their country proud so the people have something to cheer about during these difficult times.
KEY PLAYER: Oleksandr Zinchenko
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Arsenal
Zinchenko plays a completely different role for his country than he does for his club and it's a role that arguably suits him better. His midfield role gives him the freedom to express himself and he probably enjoys it more than playing at left back.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Vitaliy Mykolenko
POSITION: Left Back
CLUB: Everton
Mykolenko is a solid all-round full back in that he very solid defensively and always poses a threat when he goes forward. His energy up and down the left hand side is key to how Ukraine want to play and he sometimes likes to have a pop at goal.
PREDICTION: Last 16
They'll want to do their country proud after all their people have been through over the last couple of years. They might not have a lot of quality, but they should have enough to get out the group.
GROUP F
TURKEY
MANAGER: Vicenzo Montella
FIFA RANKING: 40
EURO APPEARANCES: 5
BEST EURO FINISH: Semi Finals - 2008
Turkey went out at the group stages at the last two Euros but they might fare better this time round as they're in a more winnable group. Finishing top of their group in qualifying will give them confidence even though they come into this tournament out of form, losing 3 of their last 4 games since qualifying.
KEY PLAYER: Hakan Calhanoglu
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Inter Milan
Calhanoglu comes into this tournament off the back of his best goal scoring season after netting 13 times for Inter as they won Serie A. He's the biggest name in the Turkey squad and although he plays in a deeper role for his national side, he'll still look to contribute with some goals when his team need someone to step up.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Orkun Kokcu
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Benfica
Turkey have some decent young players coming through and Kokcu is one of them. He showed a lot of promise at Benfica last season both on and off the ball and he'll want to show more of it at this tournament. Especially with Liverpool after him.
PREDICTION: Last 16
They've got some good players in their squad which should be enough for them to get out of a weak group. But I don't see them going beyond the round of 16.
GEORGIA
MANAGER: Willy Sagnol
FIFA RANKING: 75
EURO APPEARANCES: 0
BEST EURO FINISH: N/A
This will be Georgia's first ever appearance at a major tournament and for a nation of their size to be at one is an incredible achievement. No one will give them much of a chance as they're the lowest ranked side but they do have someone who can make the difference in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who is without a doubt their biggest name and highest profile player after two stellar seasons with Napoli.
KEY PLAYER: Kvicha Kvaratskhelia
POSITION: Forward
CLUB: Napoli
Kvaratskhelia has been one of the best players in Europe over the last couple of years after two good seasons with Napoli. Georgia's hopes will very much depend on him as he's their main and only superstar.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Otar Kiteishvili
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: Sturm Graz
Kiteishvili was the best player in the Austrian Bundesliga last season as Strum Graz won the league. He's a player who loves to break into the box to score goals and although he'll likely play in a deeper role for his country, he'll still look to help his team out when they go forward.
PREDICTION: Group Stage
They're arguably the biggest underdogs at this tournament as they're the lowest ranked side with no experience at a major tournament. Because of this, I think they'll go home early.
PORTUGAL
MANAGER: Roberto Martinez
FIFA RANKING: 6
EURO APPEARANCES: 8
BEST EURO FINISH: Winners - 2016
Portugal should be among the favourites to win this tournament because of the record they had in qualifying and the calibre of players they have. They won every game during qualifying whilst their form since then hasn't been at their usual level, they should still be up there as one of the teams to beat. This could be Cristiano Ronaldo's last tournament with the national side and he would love to end his international career on a high by winning another Euros.
KEY PLAYER: Rafael Leao
POSITION: Winger
CLUB: AC Milan
With this tournament likely to be the last one for Ronaldo, Portugal will need to find a new talisman and Leao is likely to be that player. He's been an exciting young talent for a while now and this could be the tournament where he makes the step up.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Ruben Dias
POSITION: Centre Back
CLUB: Man City
Dias has been one the best central defenders in Europe over the last few years due to his reading of the game and leadership on the pitch. He's always in the right place to make a crucial block or interception and after being a huge part of the success he's had at City, now is the time for him to do the same with Portugal.
PREDICTION: Runners Up
They'll be among the favourites because of the record they had in qualifying and quality they possess. Because of this, they could go very far.
CZECH REPUBLIC
MANAGER: Ivan Hasek
FIFA RANKING: 36
EURO APPEARANCES: 10
BEST EURO FINISH: Winners - 1976
Czech Republic have qualified for every Euros since the break up of Czechoslovakia in 1992 but have only only made it past the Quarter Finals twice in 1996 and 2004. They won't be expected to go very far this year as they haven't got the quality that some of the other teams have. Patrick Schick was the joint top goal scorer three years ago but he hasn't been the same player since then and if there is one area where the Czech are short on quality, it's in forward areas.
KEY PLAYER: Tomas Soucek
POSITION: Midfielder
CLUB: West Ham
Soucek is an all-round box to box midfielder in that he does a good job at both sides of the game. He always tracks back to help his team out defensively and he loves to get himself in the box to score goals. He scored some crucial goals for the Czech's during qualifying his energy in the midfield will be key if they're to get out the group.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Mojmir Chytil
POSITION: Winger
Club: Slavia Prague
Chytil scored 21 goals in all competitions for Slavia Prague last season and is a player who always looks dangerous whenever he's in the opposition half. With the Czech attack being short on goals, his ability to score goals will be massive boost to their chances.
PREDICTION: Group Stage/Last 16
They might be in a weak group, but they still don't have enough quality to go far. They'll make it difficult for teams defensively, but going forward I'm not sure they'll have enough.
