England Squad Verdict

Lee Carsley announced his England squad yesterday ahead of their Nations League Games against Greece and Finland.

There are no new faces to the squad, but there are recalls for Kyle Walker, Jude Bellingham and Dominic Solanke.

Let's see what I think of the squad.

Dominic Solanke was last called up back in 2017 when he was at Liverpool. He deserves his recall because he's been in good form for Spurs recently. He should've been recalled last season with the form he was in for Bournemouth, but he was never considered and now he's at a bigger club in Spurs, he's got more of a chance of featuring more with the national team.

Kyle Walker was left out of the last squad as he was yet to feature for Man City. He was probably expecting himself to be recalled as he's had some games under his belt and is still England's first choice right back.

Jude Bellingham missed out on the last squad due to injury and he was definitely expecting himself to be recalled as he's England talisman.

In terms of the rest of the squad, I was very much expecting the other players in it to be involved. But I was surprised that Eberechi Eze was dropped as I was very much expecting him to keep his place. Harry Maguire's exclusion was also a bit of a surprise, but I can somewhat understand why he's been left out as he hasn't started games regularly for Man United.

FULL ENGLAND SQUAD:
