December Team of the Month

GK: JORDAN PICKFORD (EVERTON) - Pickford kept 4 clean sheets during December which was more than any other keeper as Everton climbed out of the relegation zone. He kept his side in games by making many crucial saves and his presence between the sticks is one reason why Everton have been pretty solid defensively.

RB: TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD (LIVERPOOL) - Alexander-Arnold was at the heartbeat of everything that Liverpool did during December by stepping into midfield at times and taking control of games. He registered 1 goa and 2 assists during December as Liverpool kept up their title challenge and hopefully, he'll soon to into midfield which is where he deserves to play.

CB: VIRGIL VAN DIJK (LIVERPOOL) - Van Dijk has been back to his best this season and he showed why during December. His solid performances and leadership in the backline helped the reds keep 3 clean sheets as they kept up their title push and not one player dribbled past him.

CB: JAMES TARKOWSKI (EVERTON) - Tarkowski has made more blocks than any other player this season and he certainly did a lot of that during December. He made many crucial interventions as Everton kept 4 clean sheets during December and and the Toffees are a better team defensively with him in it.

LB: EMERSON (WEST HAM) - Emerson was rock solid defensively right throughout December and especially in the latter half. His solid performances at left back were key to West Ham keeping three clean sheets during December and he also offered a threat when going forward.

RW: COLE PALMER (CHELSEA) - Palmer has arguably been Chelsea's best player this season and he played like it during December. He registered 4 goals and 2 assists during December and if he keeps up this form for the rest of the season, he's in with a chance of going to the Euro's.

CM: MOHAMMED KUDUS (WEST HAM) - Kudus is starting to become a good signing for West Ham and he showed why during December. He scored 4 goals during December as West Ham climbed into the European places and was arguably their best player over the whole month.

CM: TOM CAIRNEY (FULHAM) - Cairney registered 3 assists during December as Fulham began to find some form. The Cottagers might've had a small blip before and around Christmas, but his creativity in the midfield was key in the games they won.

LW: HEUNG MIN SON (TOTTENHAM) - Son registered 4 goals and assists each as Spurs found some of their early season form. He's going to be a massive loss for Spurs in January due to his participation at the Asian Cup.

ST: DOMINIC SOLANKE (BOURNEMOUTH) - I've doubted Solanke's ability to score at this level in the past and this season has gone on to prove me wrong. He certainly did that in December by scoring 6 goals as Bournemouth were one of the form teams. If he can keep this up for the next couple of months, he could be in line for an England call up.

ST: RICHARLISON (TOTTENHAM) - Richarlison finally delivered for Spurs during December as he scored 5 times to help them rediscover the form they showed at the start of the season. He'll need to keep this up in January with Son away at the Asian Games.
