GK: EMILIANO MARTINEZ (ASTON VILLA) - Martinez continued his strong start at Villa during December by keeping 4 clean sheets and making key saves when he needed to. He's kept more clean sheets than any other keeper this season and half of them came during December.
RB: JAMES JUSTIN (LEICESTER) - Justin was outstanding during December by being good both going forward and defensively. He's played both as a right and a left wing back during the month and has done a job in both positions which he has done wherever he's played this season.
CB: FABINHO (LIVERPOOL) - Fabinho has had to play at centre back this season because of Virgil Van Dijk being injured and he's been excellent ever since he stepped in for the Dutchman. He was solid at the back throughout December as Liverpool kept three clean sheets and showed good vision throughout the month.
CB: JOHN STONES (MAN CITY) - Stones was solid throughout December by making vital interventions and playing the right pass at the right time. After appearing to be out of the picture at the beginning of the season, he's now one of the first names on the team sheet by taking every opportunity given to him by his manager.
LB: ANDREW ROBERTSON (LIVERPOOL) - Liverpool's flying Scotsman showed why he's the best left back in the league during December by being a threat going forward and solid defensively. He registered 2 assists and was constantly getting balls into the box throughout the month.
RM: MOHAMED SALAH (LIVERPOOL) - Salah moved to the top of the goal scoring charts during December by scoring five goals to raise his tally from 8 to 13. He's looked like the player he was in his first season at Liverpool and his contribution during December put the reds back at the top of the league.
CM: JAMES MADDISON (LEICESTER) - Maddison was back to his best during December with 2 goals and 2 assists. He was an important player for Leicester throughout the month by creating lots of chances for his teammates and if he keeps this up, a return to the England squad could come.
CM: BRUNO FERNANDES (MAN UNITED) - Fernandes has looked like the player he was last signing by scoring 3 goals and registering 3 assists during December. He's continued to be an important player for United and his presence on the team helped them move in touching distance of Liverpool at the top.
LM: ANWAR EL GHAZI (ASTON VILLA) - El Ghazi has become one of the first names on Dean Smith's team sheet by scoring 5 goals in 5 games during December. He's already scored more than he did in the whole of last season and his form during the month has made him a key player for Villa.
ST: JAMIE VARDY (LEICESTER) - Leicester's fox in the box continued his fine form in December by registering 3 goals and 2 assists. His contribution and form during the month kept the Foxes in and around the Champions League places and continuing to show no signs of slowing down.
ST: MARCUS RASHFORD (MAN UNITED) - The man of 2020 ended the year on a high with 5 goals during December. His form throughout the month helped United move within touching distance of leaders Liverpool and it has also turned United's season around after a shaky start.
