Chelsea's season is pretty much over following their Champions League exit last night as they've now got nothing to play for. They're out of all cup competitions and are unlikely to qualify Europe with the club currently 11th in the Premier League.
They've got a massive summer ahead of them as they need to clear some players out due to the massive squad they have and bring in the right players who will improve the team.
Let's see which players I think they should keep and the players I think they should sell.
GOALKEEPERS
KEPA ARRIZABALAGA - SELL
Kepa hasn't done too badly for the blues this season as he's kept them in games on a number of occasions. But I still think they should offload him as the blues are better defensively with Mendy.
EDOUARD MENDY - KEEP
Mendy was unlucky to lose his place in the team earlier in the season as he didn't do much wrong. He was one of the best keepers in the world not that long ago and with Chelsea arguably being a better team defensively with him in goal, they should look to keep him and reinstate him as their no.1.
DEFENDERS
REECE JAMES - KEEP
James signed a new contract recently and has been one of their better players when he's been available. This gives Chelsea a reason to keep hold of him and as he's still young at 23, he's set to be a key player for the blues in future.
CESAR AZPILICUETA - SELL
He's been a great servant for Chelsea during his 11 years at the club as he's won everything on offer. But as he's getting on a bit, it's about time that they part ways with their captain and longest serving player.
THIAGO SILVA - KEEP
The 38 year old defender has arguably been the blues' best player this season and is showing no signs of slowing down. He can't play every week because of his age but Chelsea should still look to keep him because of the leadership he brings to the team and the experience he has. This will be beneficial for the younger players coming through.
KALIDOU KOULIBALY - SELL
Koulibaly was one of the best defenders in the world two or three years ago but hasn't shown been able to show that form since arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer. The move hasn't worked out for him and with Chelsea needing to clear players out, he's someone they should look to move on.
WESLEY FOFANA - KEEP
We haven't seen much of Fofana since his summer arrival from Leicester mainly because of injuries. He's definitely a player with potential as he's still young and is someone who Chelsea can build their defence around for the next many years. They should definitely keep him because of this.
TREVOH CHALOBAH - KEEP
He signed a new contract not that long ago and is another player with a bright future ahead of them. The blues are likely to bring in defensive reinforcements in the summer but Chalobah could still be a useful option for them.
BENOIT BADIASHILE - LOAN
He's only played 9 times since arriving in January and was one of those players who the club didn't really need to bring in. As he's still young and hasn't played much this season, the club would be better off loaning him out so he can play regular first team football and gain some valuable experience.
BEN CHILWELL - KEEP
Chilwell has been decent since his return from injury and makes a big difference for Chelsea when he plays. His Chelsea career has been stop start because of injuries but when he's been fit he's made more of a difference for them down the left side.
MARC CUCURELLA - SELL
He's been disappointing since arriving from Brighton in the summer and especially after arriving for a lot of money. Because of how disappointing he's been the blues should definitely look to offload him so they can free up some space in their squad and on the wage bill.
MIDFIELDERS
ENZO FERNANDEZ - KEEP
The World Cup winner was signed on a long term contract which he recently extended meaning that he's set to be at Chelsea for most of his career. He's looked promising at times since arriving from Benfica in January and is someone who they'll look to build their team around. Especially as he's here for the long term.
N'GOLO KANTE - KEEP
He has had an injury disrupted season this year but on his day Kante is still one of the best midfielders around because of the endless energy and tenacity he has. His contract is up this summer and the club must tie him down because of how important he's been for them over the years.
MATEO KOVACIC - KEEP
Kovacic has been one of Chelsea's most important players in recent seasons because of the energy and work rate he brings to the midfield. He might be entering the final year of his contract and isn't always first choice for the blues, but they should still keep him as he can be a useful player when called upon.
RUBEN LOFTUS CHEEK - SELL
He had a bright future ahead of him a few years ago but since then his career has never really kicked off. Injuries and lack of first team opportunities have stalled his progress and if he is to have a career in the game, he'd be better off at another club where he'll hopefully get more game time.
MASON MOUNT - KEEP
He might not have had his best season compared to recent years but Mount still has the potential to be a top player. He's been their player of the season for the last two seasons and with his contract up next summer, Chelsea have to tie him down and quickly because of how important he's been for them.
CONOR GALLAGHER - SELL
Gallagher has struggled to replicate the form he showed at Crystal Palace last season since returning to Chelsea mainly because of a lack of regular game time. The new manager may want to make him a key part of his plans as he's still a young player. But Gallagher is more likely to get a regular run of games at a different club rather than at Chelsea.
HAKIM ZIYECH - SELL
There's no doubting his ability as a football player. But at Chelsea he hasn't shown it enough. He's been inconsistent throughout his time at the club and with Chelsea needing a clear out, he's someone they'll look to offload.
CHRISTIAN PULISIC - SELL
Pulisic has struggled to hold down a regular place in the first team for the last couple of seasons and has rarely produced when given the opportunity. Because of his lack of game time, the USA international should move on to another club where he'll get more game time.
CARNEY CHUKWUEMEKA - LOAN
He was signed as someone for the future when he joined from Aston Villa in the summer and hasn't been given the chance of show off his abilities. As he's just 19 years of age, a loan spell could do him good in terms of experience of playing regular football.
FORWARDS
RAHEEM STERLING - KEEP
It's been a tough first season for Sterling who has struggled to repeat his form from recent season. But there still a player in there and a new manager could help get the best out of him and restore his confidence which has been low for most of the season.
MYKHAILO MUDRYK - SELL
Mudryk has struggled to live up to the amount of money Chelsea paid for him having not scored a single goal since his arrival in January. He was a player they didn't really need like most of the others they got in January and Chelsea will be expecting to ungrade their frontline anyway.
NONI MADUEKE - LOAN
Madueke was seen as a long term signing in January like most of the other players they signed at the time. He's hardly featured since then and if he is to be a player for the long term, he'd be better off going out on loan so he can get some regular game time.
KAI HAVERTZ - SELL
He might've scored the winning goals in the Champions League and World Club Cup finals respectively but those are the only notable highlights of his time at Chelsea. He's never proved himself as a centre forward and his performances and numbers this season can back that up. He could be a useful option off the bench but the blues should still sell him because of his poor performances as a centre forward.
PIERRE EMERICK AUBAMEYANG - SELL
He's not the player he used to be and hasn't been for a couple of years. As he's not played much since the turn of the year, the blues will surely be looking to cash in on him so they can bring in another centre forward which is their top priority this summer.
ARMANDO BROJA - SELL
He's currently out for the rest of the season with a knee injury and had he not picked up that injury, I still don't think he would've solved the blues' goal scoring issues. With the club looking to bring in a centre forward in the summer, Broja may want to look elsewhere for regular first team opportunities.
DAVID JATRO FOFANA - LOAN
He's hardly featured since arriving in January and is not ready to lead Chelsea's attack as he's still a young player. Because of this he'd be better off going out on loan so he can gain some valuable experience and get a regular run of games.
