Champions League Quarter Final Draw: The Verdict

The Champions League Quarter Final draw as made earlier today and this is what I think of the draw and who has a tough tie in this round.

QUARTER FINAL DRAW:

Bayern Munich v PSG

Man City v Borussia Dortmund

Porto v Chelsea

Real Madrid v Liverpool

Chelsea have the most winnable tie out of all the English clubs as they face 2004 winners Porto who knocked out Juventus in the last round. It's a winnable tie for Chelsea because they should have enough in them to beat them as they have more quality on paper than their opponents. Porto will gives themselves a chance after knocking Juventus out in the last 16, but Chelsea should still be favourites. Liverpool have the most difficult out of all the English clubs left as they face Real Madrid in a rematch of the 2018 final where Real won 3-1 and Mohamed Salah had his shoulder injured by Sergio Ramos. Real Madrid may not be the same team they were three or four years ago, but they still have some top players in their team who can cause some damage. It's a game that Liverpool can win as they have enough quality to beat any one on their day. But it's still a tough tie for them because of the team Real Madrid are the quality they still possess. Man City have a winnable but fairly tricky tie as they face Borussia Dortmund. It's definitely a winnable tie for them because Dortmund are not the best defensively and City have some world class superstars going forward like Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling. But City should still be wary of the threat Dortmund can pose because of the players they have going forward in Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho.

The tie of the round is probably Bayern Munich taking on PSG in a rematch of last seasons final where Bayern won 1-0 thanks to Kingsley Coman's winning goal in Lisbon. The holders will probably be favourites for this one because they're once again top of the Bundesliga and the favourites for the competition itself unlike their opponents who are not having their best season in Ligue 1. They're 2nd in the league behind Lille and are in some inconsistent form at the moment. They may beaten Barcelona comfortably in the last round but their league form can still improve if they're to win the title.
