Champions League Last 16 Predictions: Part 2 of the 2nd Leg

TUESDAY:

ARSENAL V PORTO

Arsenal were not at their best in the first leg where they also failed to register a shot on target. That later came back to bite them as they lost the game late in stoppage time.

Mikel Arteta will want his side to put in a better showing in this second leg and I think they will as they're at home where they've been pretty strong this season.

Porto were no doubt the better side in the first leg and they'll come into this second leg hoping to use the game game plan they used in the first leg.

But with Arsenal being the home team and having the home crowd behind them to push them all the way, I think they'll turn this tie around.

PREDICTION: 3-0

BARCELONA V NAPOLI

Barcelona were dominant in the first leg but couldn't make the most of their advantage as they missed a host of chances. Xavi will need his side to be more ruthless in this second leg if they're to reach the Quarter Finals.

Napoli had their keeper Alex Meret to thank in the first leg as he kept them in the game with the crucial saves he made. His saves and Osimhen's equalising goal kept them in the tie.

Both teams have to go for it here and I think they will due to the attacking players they both have.

The Nou Camp factor will definitely give Barca the advantage here because of the atmosphere it can generate. With the home crowd on their side, I think Barca will edge this one.

PREDICTION: 2-1

WEDNESDAY:

ATLETICO MADRID V INTER MILAN

Atletico Madrid did well to keep the score down in the first leg with their defence and keeper Jan Oblak making some crucial interventions.

Diego Simeone's side have to go for it here as they're behind in the tie but it will be tough as they'll again be without Antoine Griezmann, who was a miss for them in the first leg.

Inter Milan probably should've had the first leg out of sight with the amount of chances they had but they do still have the lead in the tie.

The Serie A leaders will expect a tougher game here as Atletico will be physical and tough to beat. Especially as they're the home team in this second leg.

Both teams in general are solid definitely but they can offer a threat on the break. With Inter having a bit more in firepower, I think they'll edge this one like they did the first leg.

PREDICTION: 0-1

BORUSSIA DORTMUND V PSV

Borussia Dortmund managed to come away with a draw in the first leg after overcoming many waves of PSV pressure.

Being at home for this tie will definitely give them an advantage as the atmosphere at the Signal Iduna Park can be electric and also, they have a good home record in this competition.

PSV wasted a host of chances in the first leg and they'll be wondering how they're not ahead in this tie. They could be kicking themselves if they don't win this second leg.

Peter Bosz's side will again look to cause Dortmund problems like they did in the first leg as they're a side who like to play on the front foot.

But because of Dortmund's strong home record in this competition and the atmosphere their home fans can create at home, I think they'll see themselves through here

PREDICTION: 2-1

PREMIER LEAGUE FIXTURE

BOURNEMOUTH V LUTON

Bournemouth showed character to come from behind and nick a draw against Sheffield United on Saturday which was a result that not many people saw coming.

Luton are a side who never give up as seen in their 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday which was a crucial result for them. Especially after losing their last four games in the league.

They only got a point from that game because Palace wasted a lot of chances and I don't see Bournemouth being that team here. Especially as they have a striker who can score goals in Dominic Solanke.

Because of that I think the Cherries will edge this one.

PREDICTION: 2-1
