GK: DAVID RAYA (ARSENAL) - Raya made some important saves during August and some quality ones too as Arsenal got their season off to a strong start. He made an eye-catching save in each of their first two games against Wolves and Aston Villa and having a keeper who can pull off those kind of saves can win you a title.
RB: RICO LEWIS (MAN CITY) - Lewis has stepped up brilliantly in Kyle Walker's absence at the start of the season and his good start has earned him a recall to the England squad. He did his job in both departments in being solid defensively and offering a threat going forward, and he also stepped into midfield and acted as an extra man in that position.
CB: WILLIAM SALIBA (ARSENAL) - He did have a shaky moment in the first game against Wolves, but in the other games Saliba looked solid. Arsenal found themselves on the back foot at times during their games against Villa and Brighton, and Saliba made sure that the Gunners were solid at the back and got results from both games.
CB: IBRAHIMA KONATE (LIVERPOOL) - Konate came on at half time of Liverpool's opening game against Ipswich to add a physical presence to the backline. He certainly showed that when he came on as the reds were a much improved team in the second half of that game. He also showed it in their next game against Brentford where they kept another clean sheet and his headed clearance lead to the opening goal.
LB: ANTONEE ROBINSON (FULHAM) - Robinson was effective at both ends of the pitch during August as Fulham got off to a reasonably decent start. Defensively he did his job well by being in the right place to make crucial interventions whilst going forward he was always a threat as he registered 2 assists. If he can keep up this good start, he could become one of the best full backs in the league.
CDM: IBRAHIM SANGARE (NOTTINGHAM FOREST) - Sangare didn't make much of an impact when he arrived last season, but this season he's already forced his way into Nuno's plans. No player has made more tackles than him so far this season and his tenacity in the midfield has been crucial to Forest making a decent start to the season.
CM: BERNARDO SILVA (MAN CITY) - Silva registered 2 assists during August as City got their title defence off to a 100% start. He's been one of City's most important players over the last few seasons and is set to be again this season with the way he's started it.
CM: AMADOU ONANA (ASTON VILLA) - Onana has got off to a bright start at Aston Villa as he netted 2 goals in August, both of which were scored in the games they won against West Ham and Leicester. Both of his goals were crucial to Villa getting those results and so were his performances in the midfield.
RW: BUKAYO SAKA (ARSENAL) - Saka has continued where he left off as he registered 1 goal and 3 assists in August to help Arsenal get off to a strong start. He became the first Arsenal player since Thierry Henry to register an assist in each of the opening three games of a Premier League season and he's bound to bag more of the season progresses.
LW: BRYAN MBEUMO (BRENTFORD) - Mbeumo once again stepped up in the absence of Ivan Toney during August as he netted 3 goals to help Brentford get off to a reasonably good start. With Toney now gone, he'll be expected to take his mantle as the Bees' main man.
ST: ERLING HAALAND (MAN CITY) - This man just had to be in the team given his start to the season. Haaland already has 7 goals to his name this season and we've played just 3 games. He's benefitted from having a full summer to rest and a full pre-season to get himself fit, and if he keeps scoring goals at the rate he has been, he could potentially go on to have the season he had in his first season.
