GK: GUGLIELMO VICARIO (TOTTENHAM) - Spurs have looked much improved defensively this season and part of that has been down to having a keeper who can keep the ball out of the net. Vicario has been a strong presence between the sticks since joining Spurs as he's made the kind of saves that Hugo Lloris wasn't making last season.
RB: KYLE WALKER (MAN CITY) - Walker looked solid right throughout August as City got off to a 100% start. He was effective at both ends thanks to his pace and the champions will be glad that they kept hold of him after almost joining Bayern Munich in the summer.
CB: CRISTIAN ROMERO (TOTTENHAM) - Romero looked a much improved player during August as Spurs looked a more solid outfit defensively. He was effective in both boxes and always made a crucial challenge when his team required him to.
CB: RICKY VAN DE VEN (TOTTENHAM) - Spurs' new central defender has been another key reason why they've looked much more solid at the back. He's formed a strong partnership with Romero which was crucial to them keeping 2 clean sheets in August and is looking like a very good signing for Spurs.
LB: DESTINY UDOGIE (TOTTENHAM) - After spending last season on loan at Udinese, Udogie has already made the left back spot in the Spurs team his own. He was defensively solid right throughout August and was also a threat going forward as he registered 2 assists. He's taken the chance given to him with both hands.
CDM: RODRI (MAN CITY) - Rodri has started this season like he ended last in dictating play in midfield and popping up with a couple of crucial goals. He's key to how City play and is surely now one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.
CM: JAMES WARD PROWSE (WEST HAM) - West Ham have started the season very strongly and the signing of Ward Prowse has been integral to it. He registered 1 goal and 2 assists during August and has stepped up as the Hammers' main man in midfield after the departure of Declan Rice.
CM: JAMES MADDISON (TOTTENHAM) - Maddison has arguably been the signing of the season so far because of the impact he's made since joining Spurs. He registered 1 goal and 2 assists during August as Spurs got off to a strong start and has given them that creativity they've lacked since Christian Eriksen left.
RW: BRYAN MBEUMO (BRENTFORD) - Brentford needed someone to step up in Ivan Toney's absence and Mbeumo has done exactly that. He scored 3 times during August and he looks set to be the Bees' go-to player for the next few months until Toney comes back.
ST: ERLING HAALAND (MAN CITY) - It was normal business resumed for Haaland during August as he netted 3 goals to ensure that City got off to a 100% start. He ended the month as the league's joint top scorer and many are asking are many more will he get between now and the end of the season.
LW: SOLLY MARCH (BRIGHTON) - March scored 3 times during August as Brighton got off to a decent start. He's definitely added more goals to his game since Roberto De Zerbi has been his manager and his start to this campaign will give him the confidence to better his 7 goal tally from last season.
