April Team of the Month

GK: ILLAN MESLIER (LEEDS) - Meslier had a solid April by keeping Leeds in games with some important saves. His presence between the sticks helped Leeds climb into the top 10 and conceded just 3 goals.

RB: TRENT ALEXANDER ARNOLD (LIVERPOOL) - TAA was back to his best in April as he responded well to his England snub by registering 1 goal and 2 assists. His performances throughout the month have put him back in contention for a return to the squad ahead of the Euros.

CB: ANTONIO RUDIGER (CHELSEA) - Rudiger was solid at the back throughout April for Chelsea by making vital interventions on the pitch. He's been an ever present member of team since Thomas Tuchel has been in charge and his form in April showed why.

CB: DIEGO LLORENTE (LEEDS) - Llorente has been a huge part of Leeds' improvement defensively during April by being solid at the back in pretty much every game. He made vital interventions when he needed to and he was a threat in both boxes.

LB: STUART DALLAS (LEEDS) - The versatile player was good at both ends of the pitch during April by being solid defensively and a threat going forward. He netted twice against Man City in Leeds' famous win and has been impressive in the other games he's played.

RM: MATHEUS PEREIRA (WEST BROM) - Pereira played a huge part in West Brom's improvement by scoring 4 goals and registering 3 assists in four games during April. HIs contribution gave the Baggies some much needed hope in the relegation battle.

CM: JOE WILLOCK (NEWCASTLE) - He may have been a sub in every game but Willock still deserves a place in the team. He netted 3 important goals during April as Newcastle pulled away from the relegation zone by collecting 8 points from four games.

CM: PAUL POGBA (MAN UNITED) - Pogba showed how good he can be during April by registering 3 assists in 4 games. His presence in the team helped United create lots of chances which they missed when he was out injured.

LM: CHRISTIAN PULISIC (CHELSEA) - Pulisic was an important player for Chelsea during April as he netted 4 goals in four games. He took every opportunity given to him after not having a lot of game time in the two months prior.

ST: MASON GREENWOOD (MAN UNITED) - Greenwood showed why he is one of the most exciting young English players around by scoring 4 goals in 4 games during April. He caused defenders problems with his pace and is turning into one of the sharpest shooters around because of the amount of goals he has already scored in his career.

ST: KELECHI IHEANACHO (LEICESTER) - Iheanacho carried his fine form into April by registering 4 goals and 2 assists as Leicester continued their push for Champions League football. He's become one of the first names on Brendan Rodgers' team sheet and has eased the goal scoring pressure off Jamie Vardy.
