5 Questions after Matchweek 30

Has the race for the top four been blown wide open?

The race for the top four looks really close at the moment and the results at the weekend made it look very interesting. Chelsea were beaten 5-2 by struggling West Brom, Liverpool put themselves back in contention with their 3-0 win Arsenal whilst West Ham put themselves in pole position with their 3-2 win over Wolves last night as well as Spurs drawing 2-2 with Newcastle. With the teams from 4th to 7th just points apart; Has the top for the top four been blown wide open?

Chelsea's defeat to West Brom certainly gave West Ham, Spurs and Liverpool the chance to take their opportunities and two of them did in West Ham and Liverpool. Their wins along with Chelsea's defeat made the race for a Champions League spot look very close as the Hammers climbed into the top four itself and the reds put themselves right back in the mix. With Spurs also in the mix despite dropping points against Newcastle, the race at the moment looks very close it could go down to the last day of the season.

Can Trent Alexander Arnold force his way back into the England squad for the Euros?

Trent Alexander Arnold was dropped from the England squad before the recent international break which left his place in the team look uncertain. He responded to his snub by putting in a good performance against Arsenal in which he got an assist when crossing the ball for Diogo Jota to head in for his first goal. He looked more like the Alexander Arnold we know and after that god performance; Can he force his way back into the squad for the Euros?

He hasn't had his best season by his high standards but if you compare him to the other right backs with a chance of making the squad, he's easily the best when he's on it. He bombs up and down the wing countless times and he is arguably the most creative full back because of the chances he creates per game. He was always looking to create something against Arsenal on Saturday and his performance on the day reminded everyone of how talented and effective he is on the pitch. If he can continue playing like that between now and the end of the season, he has a strong chance of making that squad for the Euros in the summer.

Can Joelinton finally find some form at Newcastle?

Joelinton has had a tough time since he's been at Newcastle as he's struggled for goals and form throughout his time at the club. He arguably put in his best display in a Newcastle shirt against Spurs on Sunday by scoring the opening goal and linking up with other players as well as bring people into play. After a good performance at the weekend; Can he finally find some form in the black and white shirt?

The Brazilian has had a lot of criticism since he's been at St James Park and rightly so because he hasn't scored many goals and his performances as a no.9 have barely been convincing. But his performance against Spurs was more of a strikers performance as he brought people into play and linked up with his team mates which he hasn't done enough of throughout his time at the club and that is why he has been criticized. He now has to build on this performance if he is to find some consistent form at the club because if he can, he'll hopefully look more like the £40 million player Newcastle signed two summers ago.

Is Dean Henderson now Man United's no.1 keeper?

Dean Henderson has always wanted to be Man United keeper and he's finally getting his opportunity in that position after impressing on loan at Sheffield United last season. He's started their last 7 games in all competitions and he has hasn't put a foot wrong in any of them by making some vital saves at the right time. Having started their win over Brighton on Sunday ahead of David De Gea who was on the bench; is Henderson now Man United's first choice keeper?

The United academy graduate has been playing more recently because De Gea was unavailable due to the birth of his child at the beginning of March. He's taken all the opportunities given to him by his manager and it now looks like Solskjaer is going to stick with him for the time being because he's done a decent enough job whenever he's been given the chance to play. If he stays in the team between now and the end of the season and plays well, he'll be United's no.1 keeper ahead of David De Gea.

Do West Ham need a striker in the summer?

Michail Antonio went off injured inside the first half hour of West Ham's 3-2 win over Wolves last night with winger Jarrod Bowen coming on to replace him. As he is the only recognised striker at the club following Sebastian Haller's departure in January; Do West Ham need to buy a striker in the summer?

Antonio has had quite a few injuries this season and the Hammers haven't had a reliable goal scorer during his absences despite them having a good season. This has probably been Antonio's first season as an out and out striker having spent the majority of his career out wide and has done a good job when he's played there by scoring 7 goals so far this season as well as the 8 he got after the restart last season. With no other recognised striker at the club and Antonio possibly out for a few games with the muscle injury he picked up against Wolves, West Ham may need to buy a striker in the summer to back him. Especially now Antonio is 31 years of age meaning that he may lose some pace the older he gets.
