The new Premier League season kicks off this weekend where there will be players looking to prove a point. Lets see which 10 players I think will have a big season ahead of them.
EBERECHI EZE - CRYSTAL PALACE
With Wilfried Zaha, Palace will need someone to step up as their new talisman and Eze is likely to be that player. He stepped up when Zaha was out injured at the back end of last season with 6 goals from the final 10 games and he'll need to replicate that form this season if he's to become the Eagles' main man.
JAMES TRAFFORD - BURNLEY
Trafford hasn't played a minute in the Championship never mind the Premier League prior to making his move to Turf Moor this summer which will no doubt add a lot of pressure. His performances during the U21 Euros will give him confidence as kept a clean sheet in every game and saved the crucial penalty in the final win over Spain. If he can carry those performances into the Premier League, he could earn himself a senior call up.
CARLTON MORRIS - LUTON
Morris netted 20 times during Luton's promotion campaign last season and was arguably their only major goal threat. Every newly promoted team needs to have that clinical no.9 to give them a good chance of staying up for that to happen, the Hatters will need Morris to get similar amount of goals.
JARROD BOWEN - WEST HAM
With Declan Rice gone, the Hammers need a new talisman and Bowen is likely to be that player. He didn't have the best of seasons domestically last season but he did play a crucial role in their Europa Conference League success in scoring the winning goal in the final. If he produces that form in the league this season, he could be the Hammers' new main man.
ANTHONY GORDON - NEWCASTLE
Gordon didn't make much of an impact following his move to Newcastle in January and he's properly settled in, he'll hopefully get more game time. He was one of England's standout players at the U21 Euro's where he was named player of the tournament and if he can carry that form into this season, he could earn himself a senior call up.
ANDRE ONANA - MAN UNITED
United lacked a keeper who can play out from the back last season with David De Gea being unsuited to play that way. In Onana they have someone who can play that way and is someone that Erik Ten Hag knows very well from his time at Ajax. With this kind keeper between the sticks, United may have a better chance of challenging City.
BRYAN MBEUMO - BRENTFORD
The Bees will need someone to step up a their man with Ivan Toney being suspended for the first part of the season. Mbeumo has been a key player for the Bees in the past and has stepped up in Toney's absence when he's been unavailable. With Toney suspended till January, Mbeumo will need to step up as the main man till his strike partner returns.
RAHEEM STERLING - CHELSEA
Sterling has a poor first season at Chelsea last season with his form costing him his England place. With a new manager in charge, he'll be determined to impress him so he can win back his place in the England squad. Especially with the Euro's coming up next summer.
CHRISTOPHER NKUNKU - CHELSEA
The last player Chelsea got from RB Leipzig turned out to a complete flop and the pressure will be on Nkunku because of that. The blues badly lacked goals last season and someone to score them and if Nkunku can start well, he could well be the man that solves that problem.
DARWIN NUNEZ - LIVERPOOL
Nunez had a tough first season at Anfield last season but he did at times show glimpses of his potential. He's been on fire during pre season and if he can carry that form with him into the Premier League, we could see the player that the reds spent all that money on.
