Top 20 Signings of the Season

There have been both good and bad signings this season across both windows and it's the good ones who will get remembered. SO lets see who made my 20 signings of the season.

20. Michael Olise - Reading to Crystal Palace - £8 million

Olise has impressed in most of the games he's played for Palace this season and has also provided some vital contributions. He's got a bright future in the game and is not doubt going to be a key player for Palace in the future.

19. Maxwel Cornet - Lyon to Burnley - £12.9 million

Burnley may have gone down but Cornet still impressed as he ended the season as their top goal scorer with 9 goals. He carried the team from a attacking sense for most of the season and without his goals the Clarets might've gone down early.

18. Philippe Coutinho - Barcelona to Aston Villa - Loan

Coutinho has looked more like the player we saw at Liverpool during his loan spell with Villa by impressing in his free role. He made a big impact on the team the moment he arrived and his good performances have earned him a permanent transfer.

17. Ibrahima Konate - RB Leipzig to Liverpool - £36 million

He might not have played loads but when he has played, Konate has not put one foot wrong. He was barely on the losing side in the games he played in and he took every opportunity given to him by his manager.

16. Marc Cucurella - Getafe to Brighton - £15 million

Cucurella was named as Brighton's player of the season and I can understand why. He's been excellent in both departments in being solid defensively and a threat going forward and has without a doubt been Brighton's most consistent player this season.

15. Tino Livramento - Chelsea to Southampton - £5 million

Livramento has looked like an accomplished defender in his first season at St Mary's and he's only just 18. He's been decent at both ends of the pitch and it was a shame that his impressive season was ended by a serious injury.

14. Ben White - Brighton to Arsenal - £50 million

He may have cost a lot of money but White has still had a reasonably solid first season at Arsenal. He's formed a strong partnership with Gabriel at the back which has helped Arsenal become more solid defensively and his good performances earned him a recall to the England squad.

13. Bruno Guimaraes - Lyon to Newcastle - £33 million

It did take time for him to get a game but the moment he was introduced, Guimaraes immediately looked the part. He's brought both creativity and goals to the Magpies midfield and is someone that they'll be looking to build their team around in the future.

12. Joachim Andersen - Lyon to Crystal Palace - £17 million

After impressing on loan at Fulham last season, Andersen has gone on to do exactly the same for Palace. He's been a key player in a Palace defence that has been solid all season thanks to his solid performances and strong partnership with Marc Guehi.

11. Dan Burn - Brighton to Newcastle - £13 million

Newcastle were shipping in goals left, right and centre before Burn came in as they looked set for relegation. The Geordie born defender has improved them massively defensively since he arrived in January and his impact played a huge part in them staying up and pushing themselves up the league.

10. Marc Guehi - Chelsea to Crystal Palace - £18 million

Guehi has been a key part of Palace's revolution under Patrick Vieira this season as he became an important player in their solid backline. He was was effective at both ends of the pitch and his performances this season were rewarded with an England call up in March.

9. Rodrigo Bentancur - Juventus to Tottenham - Loan

Bentancur has given the Spurs midfield the bite it lacked before he arrived as teams got through it rather comfortably. His partnership with Hojberg was crucial for Spurs in the latter part of the season as they finished in the top four.

8. Christian Romero - Atalanta to Tottenham - £42.5 million

Spurs have been much improved defensively this season and Romero has been a key part of it. He's made crucial interventions when his team have needed him to and Spurs have been a much better team defensively when he's been in it.

7. Aaron Ramsdale - Sheffield United to Arsenal - £24 million

Many eyebrows were raised when this deal happened and Ramsdale himself has gone on to prove his doubters wrong. He's looked solid between the sticks all season by making many crucial saves to keep Arsenal in games and has provided some competition for Jordan Pickford in the England team.

6. Jose Sa - Olympiakos to Wolves - £6.25 million

Wolves have looked defensively solid for most of the season and Sa has been one of the reasons why. He's made lots of vital saves to keep them in games and also kept 11 clean sheets as Wolves finished in the top 10. They might not have finished up there without him.

5. Dejan Kulusevski - Juventus to Tottenham - Loan

Kulusevski made a big impact the moment he arrived at Spurs as he registered 5 goals and 8 assists which played a huge part in their push towards the top four. He gave them the creativity they were lacking and now Antonio Conte will surely be looking to sign him up on a permanent deal.

4. Christian Eriksen - Inter Milan to Brentford - Free

Eriksen's return to football has been one of the stories of the season after what happened last summer and the impact he made at Brentford was just incredible. The Bees were lacking a creative midfielder until they signed him and his contribution was crucial to them staying in the league.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo - Juventus to Man United - £12.85 million

Where would United be without this man? Ronaldo has saved United's skin many times this season with the amount of goals he's scored and there is no doubt that they would be in a much worse position without him. He's proved that he can still score goals at the age of 37.

2. Conor Gallagher - Chelsea to Crystal Palace - Loan

Gallagher has been absolutely exceptional for Palace this season as he's added more goals to the team and brought so much energy to the midfield. The Eagles will surely be looking to snap him up on a permanent deal after the season he's had with them.

1. Luis Diaz - Porto to Liverpool - £37 million

Diaz has looked like a Liverpool player ever since he walked through the door which says a lot about the impact he's made since. He's not just added more quality to their attack. He's also improved the depth of their squad which was crucial to them challenging on all fronts.
