Is Mo Salah the best player in the world right now?
Mohamed Salah has been in flying form so far this season with 7 goals in the league and 10 in all competitions so far. He's scored more than Messi, Ronaldo and Mbappe so far this season and has netted in his last 8 games in all competitions which shows the kind of form he's been in. He's also second on the Premier League assists chart behind Paul Pogba which shows that he's creating as well as scoring.
He's without a doubt the best Premier League player at the moment because of the form he's in and for him to be the best player in the world is a big statement. Especially with Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema also banging in the goals in their respective leagues.
Solskjaer under more pressure this season than he has been in the past
The pressure is back on Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season following some inconsistent results in recent weeks after a strong start. With the signings they made in the summer, a lot of people were expecting United to be challenging for the title and other major trophies this season because of the exciting squad they have on paper. This is why Solskjaer is under more pressure this season than he has been in the past seasons because the expectations are very high following their business in the summer and the team at the moment is not in great form.
They've won just once in their last five games in all competitions and are yet to reach their potential based on their performances so far this season. With some tough fixtures coming up, Solskjaer may be facing the chop if he doesn't get many points from those games because of the expectation that has been placed on his team this season.
Should Eduoard Mendy have been included on the Ballon D'or shortlist?
Chelsea keeper Eduoard Mendy was excellent during Chelsea's 1-0 win at Brentford on Saturday as he made lots of important saves to keep them ahead. Having not made the Ballon D'or shortlist last week, his performance at the weekend suggests that he should've been on it. Especially as he won the Champions League last season where he was a key player for his team.
He's been a top class keeper ever since he's been at Chelsea by making many top class saves and being a solid presence between the sticks which has made Chelsea a very solid team defensively. He's been a key player for them since he's been at the club and because of how good he's been for them over the last year, many will feel that he should've been nominated for the big prize.
