Talking Points of the Weekend

Wolves looking much better in final third with Jimenez and Hwang partnership

Wolves' main problem this season has been scoring goals as they've missed a lot of chances during their respective games. They've been decent to watch at times, but they haven't had the killer instinct in the final third. That problem appears to be disappearing following the link up play between Raul Jimenez and Hwang Hee Chan during their win over Newcastle at the weekend.

Wolves looked a much better side going forward against Newcastle because of the partnership the two of them developed on the pitch which played a crucial part in Wolves wining the game. Jimenez assisted both of Hwang's goals and the pair of them linked up several other times in the game as well. It's been a slow start from Wolves but with with new partnership, they should finally kick on and move further up the table.

Did Watford make the right decision in sacking Xisco Munoz?

Watford's manager merry-go-round struck again as Xisco Munoz was the latest manager at Vicarage Road to get the chop from the ruthless Pozzo's on Sunday. With the sacking being early in the season after just 7 games; Have the Hornets made the right decision?

Watford haven't done too badly since their return to the Premier League as they currently have 7 points from 7 games which isn't a bad return. But they still decided to sack their manager this early into a season despite them being 15th in the table and four points outside the relegation zone. The last time they sacked a manager early into a season, they ended up relegated which was two seasons ago when Javi Gracia was sacked after just four games. If the Hornets do go down this season, this could be the reason why.

Liverpool lucky to come away with draw against City

Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Man City on Sunday was without a doubt a brilliant and entertaining game to watch. It kept most fans on the edge of their seat and had plenty of action with both sides looking dangerous in attack. But the game might've been different if one or two certain decisions were given. One of those decisions was the referee not awarding James Milner a second yellow card for his tackle on Bernardo Silva in the second half.

Milner was on a yellow for his foul on Phil Foden during the first half and he should've had a second for his foul on Bernardo Silva because his challenge on the City player was definitely a yellow card challenge. The score was 1-1 at the time the challenge took place and if Milner was awarded the second yellow, the game might've changed because sending offs can change football matches. But in the end the decision wasn't given and Liverpool were lucky to come away with a point.
