Can Everton kick on from United win?
Everton picked up a much needed victory against Man United on Saturday where they put in a much improved performance. They were resolute in defence right throughout the game and they took their all important chance in front of goal. The question now will be whether they can kick on from this crucial victory?
The result along with the performance will definitely give them confidence as any win against a big club can do that and a performance like the one they put in will give them something to build on. They do have some tricky games coming up but the result against Man United as well as the performance will give them the confidence they need to help them through those tough fixtures.
The result also gave them some breathing space between themselves and the bottom three with the gap now at 4 points. That gap could still be reduced next weekend as Everton aren't playing but the good news for them will be that they'll still be outside the relegation zone by the time their next game against Leicester comes around.
Spurs in driving seat for top four
With the form they're in and the favourable fixtures they have coming up unlike the other teams fighting the same goal, you have to say that Spurs are very much in the driving seat for a top four finish. They looked completely out of it a couple of months ago because of their inconsistency and poor performances at the time. But Antonio Conte appears to have found his best team and got them playing which has in turn got them in the position they're in now. Alongside the teams around them dropping points.
They definitely looked the best equipped out of all the teams fighting for that top four place in that they have more firepower in their attack. Arsenal don't score enough goals, Man United don't create enough chances to win games whilst West Ham have an out of form striker in Michail Antonio. Spurs meanwhile have a front three in Kulusevski, Kane and Son who are in great form and have plenty of goals in them.
With the team looking well structured in all areas and looking more consistent in terms of results, Spurs are definitely looking the most likely to finish in the top four out all the teams fighting it out for that 4th spot.
Title still up for grabs following draw between City and Liverpool
Sunday's clash between Man City and Liverpool was in some peoples eyes seen as the game to decide who'll go on to win the title. But with the game ending in a breath-taking 2-2 draw, it looks like the title is still very much up for grabs with the gap between the two sides still just one point.
City arguably have the more favourable run in with the majority of their remaining fixtures being games that they should be able to win. Liverpool do have tough games against Man United and Spurs to look forward to but they still have other winnable games to play between now and the end of the season. The title could well be decided by the amount of points they both pick up in their remaining games.
With both clubs still likely to be in the Champions League come the semi final stage of the competition, they could potentially lose a key player to an injury and not be at their best in the game after a game in Europe. Both of these could deal a blow to their title hopes and possibly decide who wins the league. Especially if one team takes advantage of the other dropping points if the two factors mentioned become the cause for it.
