Brighton need a striker
Only one goal scored in their last seven league games and a lot of chances missed during that time. It's fair to say that Brighton really need a striker. They're a good team to watch but they can't seem to finish teams off with the amount of chances they create.
This was the case for them for the whole of last season and I had them down as relegation favourites at the start of this season for that very reason. I thought Graham Potter might've addressed that issue in the summer but instead he stuck with the players he's got and their profligacy in front of goal is still there. They may be 13th in the table which is an improvement on last season but it feels like they're not improving because of their lack of cutting edge in front of goal.
If they want to be a top 10 side they need a striker who will put chances away on a regular basis. They have the potential to be that team because of the way they play and the manager they have. But they need that clinical centre forward if they are to be a top 10 side.
Will the winner of next weeks' title clash decide the league?
Liverpool and Man City both won at the weekend leaving the gap between them still at one point going into the big one next Sunday. That game will feel like a title decider with it being towards the end of the season and both teams still very much in it. But will it actually decide who will win the title?
A City win will see them go four points clear which should give them a comfortable enough cushion between themselves and Liverpool whilst a win for Liverpool will see them go two points clear which will leave the title race still very much alive.
Both sides could also drop points in their other remaining fixtures but at different times which would make the title race look even more interesting if one of them was to win when the other either loses or draws at the same time. Both sides do have the odd tough game in their remaining fixtures and that kind of game could potentially decide where the title is going instead of the big one next Sunday.
Have Arsenal gone back to being soft?
Arsenal have had a much stronger backbone and mentality at times this season and they've both played a big part in their hunt for Champions League football next season. But their old softness came back to bite them on Monday night where they were beaten 3-0 by Crystal Palace. So has they gone back to being soft?
Arsenal have had a softness about them for the years going back to the final few years of Arsene Wenger's reign. They've lost to teams they've been expected to beat several times ever since and their defeat to Palace on Monday showed that their softness might still be there.
They didn't show enough aggression on Monday night as Palace were much the better side throughout. Their defending was poor as well with two of the goals they conceded not being well defended with Mateta being given enough room to score the first and Rob Holding diving in too early before Jordan Ayew scored the second. Both of these have cost Arsenal in these kind of games over the years and with both being evident in their defeat to Palace, it could well be a sign that their old failings are starting to creep back in.
