FRIDAY:
WOLVES V LEEDS
Wolves will put themselves right back in the mix for the top four if they win this game as a victory will see them move to within two points of 4th placed Arsenal. They'll climb above both West Ham and Spurs until they play each other on Sunday and will put the pressure on Arsenal going into their game with Aston Villa.
It's been a good season for Wolves so far and Bruno Lage deserves a lot of credit for the job he's done. They can improve on their goal return but given where they are in the league, it's still been a brilliant season for them.
Leeds got their first win under Jesse Marsch last weekend with their victory over Norwich which gave them some breathing space between themselves and the bottom three. It was a result they needed because of the situation they're in and it will hopefully give them the confidence to get more results.
Out of all the teams in the relegation battle, I think Leeds are the most likely to stay up. They have key players coming back from injury and are four points above the drop zone which will give them a comfortable enough cushion between themselves and the bottom three.
PREDICTION: 2-0
It's a must win game for both sides and I think Wolves will be the team that come out on top. They'll have more than enough defensively to keep Leeds at bay and with Leeds having the worst defence in the league this season, I can see Wolves make the most of some poor defending.
SATURDAY:
ASTON VILLA V ARSENAL
Aston Villa have put in a shift whenever they've taken on any of the so called big teams since Steven Gerrard was appointed and will be looking to do the same in this one. They haven't picked up many points against those sides but they have put in some decent performances whenever they've played them.
Arsenal saw their good run of form come to an end in midweek against Liverpool and will need to bounce back in this one with the teams around them also playing over the weekend. This makes this game a must win for the Gunners as Wolves can close gap on them and West Ham could potentially overtake them if they don't win this game.
PREDICTION: 0-2
I'm backing Arsenal to bounce back in this one as I think they'll have enough quality to win this game. Villa will give it a go like they have done whenever they've taken on the big teams but I still think Arsenal will have enough to claim the three points.
SUNDAY:
LEICESTER V BRENTFORD
Leicester will now be looking to end the season in the strongest possible way as they have nothing to left to play for in terms of the league. They're not going to challenge for a European place as they're looking miles off those spots and they'll have more than enough to hold off any relegation worries.
Their set piece problems came back to bite them against Arsenal last weekend and they could do again in this one. With Brentford having a set piece expert like Christian Eriksen in their side, the Foxes will need to be on their toes because of the deliveries the Dane can produce.
Brentford should be good as safe now as they're now eight points clear of the relegation zone. I was worried about them not that long ago because of the form they were in at the time but back to back wins over Norwich and Burnley have given them plenty of breathing space between themselves and the bottom three.
Christian Eriksen has made a big impact since he joined the Bees and he's arguably been the difference for them in recent weeks. Ivan Toney may be back among the goals with five from his last two but the signing of Eriksen have given the Bees something else.
PREDICTION: 1-1
Both sides can be good to watch on their day and I can see it being a close game for that very reason. Brentford will go into the game as the in form team but I still think Leicester will get something even though they're without Jamie Vardy.
TOTTENHAM V WEST HAM
This is a massive game for both clubs in their quest for Champions League football next season. This makes it more than just a London Derby which is what it has been for a number of years.
Spurs put in an all round good performance against Brighton in midweek and they'll need to repeat that performance in this one so they can start building some much needed consistency. They've been very inconsistent recently and will need to improve on that if they're to finish in the top four.
West Ham put themselves right back in the race with their win over Aston Villa on Sunday which was a result they needed. They were beginning to lose ground in the race for 4th going into that game and the result put their chances back on track.
The Hammers will need to be ready to pounce if Arsenal lose their game against Villa as a victory for the Hammers will see them move into the top four. They can't afford to drop points if that becomes the scenario in this game.
PREDICTION: 0-2
As Spurs are an inconsistent team at the moment, I'm going for a West Ham win here. They may feel a little tired having played on Thursday in the Europa League but I think they will pounce on a poor Spurs performance which is likely to happen.
