The Premier League fixtures for the 2022/23 season were released earlier today with some interesting games to look forward to when the season kicks off.
Champions Man City kick off their title defence with a tough game against West Ham at the London stadium which is probably the biggest game of the opening weekend. West Ham have raised their expectations in recent seasons and will be looking to compete for another place in Europe when the season starts.
Erik Ten Hag kicks off his tenure at Man United with a home game against Brighton which looks winnable but it could be a tough one for them. United will need time to get used to Ten Hag new methods when he starts work there and Brighton are a side who have a clear identity which has been present for at least three seasons.
Chelsea have the toughest run in out of the established big six as they'll be taking on Spurs, Liverpool and West Ham in three of their opening eight games. They also have some other tricky games against the likes of Leicester and Everton who they play on the opening day of the season. Spurs also have a tough run in as they'll be facing West Ham and Man City as well as Chelsea in their opening seven games. They also have a tough game against Leicester thrown in to the mix.
Fulham have the toughest opening fixture out of all the newly promoted sides as they kick off their campaign against title chasing Liverpool whilst Bournemouth take on Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest take on Newcastle. Bournemouth have the toughest start out of all them as they'll be facing Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool in three of their opening five games in between winnable but tough games against Aston Villa and Wolves.
