My Team of the Season

GK: ALISSON (LIVERPOOL) - Alisson has been crucial to Liverpool's title push this season by making many top class saves to keep them in games. He shared the golden glove with Ederson and has again showed why he's one of the best keepers around.

RB: TRENT ALEXANDER ARNOLD (LIVERPOOL) - TAA has been back to his best this season after an underwhelming season the year before. He recorded the second highest amount of assists with 12 and has been solid defensively all season. He's looking the complete package as 23 years of age.

CB: RUBEN DIAS (MAN CITY) - He did miss some games towards the end of the season through injury but overall, Dias has had another outstanding season. He's been solid at the back all season as City defended their title and has again been their leader at the back like he was last season.

CB: JOEL MATIP (LIVERPOOL) - Matip has put his injury troubles behind him this season by playing the majority of Liverpool's games and putting in solid performances in pretty much all of them. He's also popped up with the odd crucial goal or assist during Liverpool's surge towards Man City.

LB: ANDREW ROBERTSON (LIVERPOOL) - Robertson has been excellent in both departments pretty much all season by being solid defensively and being creative going forward. Cancelo has been brilliant for City but I think Robertson has been slightly better in that he registered more assists of which he got 10 of.

CDM: DECLAN RICE (WEST HAM) - Rice has been a complete midfielder this season in making runs into the box to help the attacking players and getting back to help out the defenders. He's been the driving force behind West Ham's season at just 23 years of age and you just know that one day one of the big clubs will come calling for him.

CM: KEVIN DE BRUYNE (MAN CITY) - De Bruyne has again been world class for City this season by registering 15 goals and 8 assists as the champions defended their crown. It did take him time to get going after a fairly slow start but once he was ready he was his usual unplayable self.

CM: BERNARDO SILVA (MAN CITY) - Bernardo has become a key player for City this season and particularly when Kevin De Bruyne was out injured. His 8 goals were crucial for City during their title win as was his endless energy in midfield. He's now one of the first names on the team sheet months after being strongly linked with a move away.

RW: MOHAMED SALAH (LIVERPOOL) - Salah has had another exceptional season for the reds as he finished top of both the goal scoring and assists charts. He's again shown how important he is to this Liverpool team with the goals he's scored and now he needs to sign that all important new contract.

LW: HEUNG MIN SON (TOTTENHAM) - Son has been on another level this season as he shared the golden boot with Mohamed Salah. His 23 goals were all scored from open play and he surely now has to be put under that world class bracket with the season he's had.

ST: CRISTIANO RONALDO (MAN UNITED) - Not many striker have had their best season in front of goal this season whereas Ronaldo has gone on to score 18 for an underperforming side. The Portuguese superstar has carried United pretty much all season with the goals he's scored and without him they would've been in a much worse position.
