TUESDAY:
SOUTHAMPTON V LIVERPOOL
Southampton are not in good form going into this game with just one win from their last 10 league games. It's been a season where they've been on good runs and bad runs this season and at the moment they're on one of their bad runs.
The Saints will arguably be better prepared for this game as they've had all week to prepare themselves having not played last week. With Liverpool likely to feel a bit fatigued as a result of the amount of games they've had to play, Ralph Hasenhuttl's side could use this to their advantage/
Liverpool are off the back of winning the FA Cup going into this game and Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that his side didn't celebrate that win too much. I certainly won't think they will have done because of the crucial games they have left to play this season.
The reds will be without Mo Salah and Virgil Van Dijk for this one having gone off with injuries during the FA Cup final. This is will obviously be a big blow for the reds going into this game but they do have players who can fill for the pair which is crucial.
PREDICTION: 0-2
Southampton will be feeling the fresher team going into this one as they didn't play for the whole of last week. But I still think Liverpool will get the job done here even if they are slightly off the pace. The reds will make some changes but with the strength of their squad and the options they have, I still expect them to win this one.
THURSDAY:
EVERTON V CRYSTAL PALACE
Everton missed a big opportunity to seal their safety on Sunday against Brentford where they switched off at a crucial time in the game. The sending offs didn't help them but they still should've seen the game out better at that specific time.
The Toffees can seal their safety if they win this game and if they do, they can go into that last game against Arsenal with some freedom knowing that the job has been done. With this game being at home where they've looked reasonably strong, they'll be feeling confident of finishing the job off here.
Crystal Palace have already beaten Everton twice this season in the league and FA Cup where they won both games reasonably comfortably. They'll be expecting a tougher test here as this one is at Goodison where Everton have looked a lot more solid over the last few months.
PREDICTION: 2-1
Everton may be missing one or two players defensively, but with their home form on their side I think they'll win this one. Palace have beaten them twice this season but with their record at Goodison being poor, I think the Toffees will edge this one because of how strong they are at home.
ASTON VILLA V BURNLEY
Aston Villa were brilliant when they played Burnley at Turf Moor a couple of weekends ago and they'll be feeling confident of putting in a similar performance here. They haven't been as good at home as they have been away but their recent win against the Clarets will still give them some confidence going into this one.
This is an opportunity that Burnley can't afford to miss as it's a game in hand for them and the fact being that they're back in the relegation zone. They had a bounce when Mike Jackson arrived and they need to get it back for their final two games of the season.
PREDICTION: 2-0
I think Aston Villa will win this one because I can see them put in a similar performance to the one they put in at Turf Moor a couple of weekends ago. They have been inconsistent at home this season but I still think they'll have enough to take the points here.
CHELSEA V LEICESTER
Chelsea will be looking to play with some freedom in this one as their place in next seasons Champions League was confirmed last night following Arsenal's defeat to Newcastle. They can now look to end the season in a strong way and look ahead to next season under a new owner.
The Blues will be hurting after losing the FA Cup final to Liverpool but on the plus side they will have had five days to recover and get that result out of their system by the time they play this game. They'll need to show a reaction here and the amount of time they've had to recover will help them massively.
Leicester looked very much like their old selves against Watford on Sunday as they showed their class and took advantage of some terrible Watford defending. Jamie Vardy certainly looked in the mood and his return from injury has been a massive welcome boost for the Foxes.
It's been a difficult season for the Foxes this year and Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that his side can end it well. They can still finish in the top 10 which would give them something to build on for next season where they'll need to freshen up their squad in order to get back to the levels they were at before.
PREDICTION: 2-2
It will be interesting to see how Chelsea will react to their FA Cup final defeat and whether the Foxes can take advantage of them being slightly off the pace as a result of them losing that final. I think both teams will score as they can look suspect defensively but I don't see either team winning it.
