March Team of the Month



GK: ALISSON (LIVERPOOL) - Liverpool went the whole of March without conceding a single goal and Alisson was obviously a key part of that. 3 clean sheets in 3 games and he also made countless match defining saves when he needed to.


RB: MATT CASH (ASTON VILLA) - Cash was solid in both departments during March by being strong defensively and threat going forward where he registered a goal and 2 assists. His contribution going forward is making him a key player for Villa.


CB: VIRGIL VAN DIJK (LIVERPOOL) - Van Dijk was top class right throughout March as the reds went through the entire month without conceding a goal. HIs presence at the back was crucial to the reds achieving this and closing the gap on Man City.


CB: MARC GUEHI (CRYSTAL PALACE) - Guehi has been a solid signing for Palace and he showed why during March as the Eagles kept a clean sheet in every game he played. He made vital interventions when his team needed him and his performances were later rewarded with an England call up.


LB: ANDREW ROBERTSON (LIVERPOOL) - Robertson showed why he's one of the best full backs around by being solid both offensively and defensively. His contribution at both ends was crucial to the reds keeping up with City at the top of the league.


RM: DEJAN KULUSEVSKI (TOTTENHAM) - Kulusevski has been an excellent for Spurs since his arrival in January and he showed during March by registering 3 assists. If he keeps up this kind of form, Spurs may want to snap him up on a permanent transfer.


CM: THOMAS PARTEY (ARSENAL) - Arsenal really put themselves in pole position for the top four in March and Partey's performances were a crucial part of that. He brings so much to the team in terms solidity and is showing what Arsenal have lacked for many years in a quality defensive midfielder.


CM: PHILIPPE COUTINHO (ASTON VILLA) - Coutinho played such a big role for Villa during March by registering 2 goals and an assist as Villa rose into the top 10. He's looked more like the player we saw at Liverpool ever since he's been at Villa.


LM: HEUNG MIN SON (TOTTENHAM) - Spurs really put themselves right back in the race for the top four during March and Son was a key part of that. His 3 goals were crucial to Spurs getting their season back on track after an inconsistent February.


ST: HARRY KANE (TOTTENHAM) - Kane was an all around player during March by scoring 4 and assisting 2 as Spurs put themselves back in the reckoning for the top four. He's definitely looking back to his best after a slow start to the season.


ST: IVAN TONEY (BRENTFORD) - Toney scored more goals than any other player during March with 5 as Brentford gave themselves more breathing space between themselves and the bottom three. His return to form came at a good time as Brentford were starting to fall into the relegation battle.
