TUESDAY:
ITALY V SPAIN
I was impressed with Italy's game management in their Quarter Final win over Belgium even though there was quite a bit of gamesmanship taking place. They looked tight at the back whilst Belgium were piling the pressure on them and they came through it unscathed. It was a good all round performance on the day and they'll be looking to produce the same in this one.
They have to be the favourites to win the tournament now because they're in great form and look the strongest side out of all the teams left. I said going into their game with Belgium that whoever won would go on to the Euros and I think Italy will very much be that team. It would be incredible if they did win it as they didn't qualify for the World Cup three years ago.
Spain missed a hatful of chances in their Quarter Final against Switzerland on Friday and especially after the Swiss had a man sent off. They did go through on penalties but they'll still be kicking themselves for the chances they didn't take which they should've done. Yann Sommer was excellent in the Swiss goal but Spain still should've had the game out of sight with the chances they had.
They're missing that top quality striker which every team needs to win a major tournament and the Spanish haven't had one since David Villa. Alvaro Morata misses several chances like he has done at this tournament and Gerard Moreno is yet to impress. The lack of a clinical no.9 could well be the reason why Spain won't win the tournament as well as this game.
I'm going for an Italy win because they look the stronger team and are the favourites for the tournament. They've been impressive in almost every game they've played in and I can see them outplay Spain in this one.
PREDICTION: 2-0
ENGLAND V DENMARK
England must surely be believing after their win over Ukraine in the Quarter Finals where they were excellent throughout. It was a performance we were waiting for since the start of the tournament and one they'll be looking to build on in this game. Harry Kane is finally off up and running plus the team itself is full of confidence and belief that they can reach the final and potentially go all the way.
They'll be aware of the threat that Denmark pose because of how well the Danes have done at this tournament plus England played them in the Nations League back in the Autumn. The Three Lions lost and drew with the Danes back then and they'll want to get one over them this time round because of that. With the side feeling confident they'll have a great chance of winning this game.
Denmark have been the story of the Euros. They lost their best player in their opening game and for them to reach the Semi finals without him deserves a lot of credit. They've been playing for Eriksen in every game they've played in at this tournament and they've also showed how well they work as a team. They've done Christian Eriksen proud as well as their country at these Euros.
They did enough to beat the Czech Republic in their last game with a strong start spurring them on. Their performance overall was good despite the Czech pressure in the second half and they'll be looking to repeat it here as they look to reach the final of the Euros. Their win over England back in October in the Nations League along with their performances at these finals will give them confidence going into this game.
I'm going for an England win because they'll be feeling confident following their win against Ukraine and I can see them put in another solid performance here. The Danes will be a tougher opposition than Ukraine, but England should still have enough to win the game.
PREDICTION: 2-0
