GK: EDERSON (MAN CITY) - Ederson kept 3 clean sheets during December as City pulled themselves clear at the top of the league. He made many vital saves along the way and played in every single week of the month unlike some of the other keepers.
RB: JOAO CANCELO (MAN CITY) - I wasn't sure who to pick for this spot when choosing this team but in the end I went with Cancelo. The Portuguese full back was impressive in both departments during December by being solid defensively and a threat going forward. He got a goal and an assist to his name and is arguably the best full back on current form.
CB: RUBEN DIAS MAN CITY) - Dias is having another solid season for City this year and he showed why during December. He didn't put a foot wrong defensively which is always the case with him and he also got himself involved at the other end as he netted a couple of goals against Villa and Newcastle respectively.
CB: AYMERIC LAPORTE (MAN CITY) - Laporte looked rock solid at the back right throughout December as he helped City keep 3 clean sheets. He's been one of the first names on the team sheet after not playing a lot last season and has formed a solid partnership with Ruben Dias whenever he's played.
LB: ANDREW ROBERTSON (LIVERPOOL) - Robertson showed why he's back to his best during December by registering 1 goal and 3 assists. He may have been sent off against Spurs but in the other games he played in, he put in some good performances.
RM: RAHEEM STERLING (MAN CITY) - Sterling for me was the best player during December as he scored 6 goals to help City pull themselves clear at the top. He's impressed whenever he's been given an opportunity and has been given a regular run in the team because of that.
CM: MASON MOUNT (CHELSEA) - December may have been a stuttering month for Chelsea, but Mount still delivered with 4 goals and 3 assists in 7 games. That is why he's in this team and without him their title chances would've been dead in the water before the end of the month.
CM: MARTIN ODEGAARD (ARSENAL) - Odegaard scored and assisted 3 times during December as Arsenal moved themselves into the top four and stayed there till the end of the month. His form during the month has made him one of the first names on the team sheet.
LM: HEUNG MIN SON (TOTTENHAM) - Son was back to his best during December as he netted 4 goals to help Spurs kick start their season. He's looked more like the player we know and is back linking up with Harry Kane which is another encouraging sign for him and his team.
ST: HARRY KANE (TOTTENHAM) - Kane's season finally took off in December as he netted 3 times and was more like the player we've been used to seeing over the years. He's going into the new year full of confidence after a prolific end to the year.
ST: CRISTIANO RONALDO (MAN UNITED) - Now where would United be without their no.7? Ronaldo's 4 goals during December were crucial to United keeping their season alive and without them they would not be where they are in the table. I had to put him in for that very reason.
